Talasi had traveled further than she normally did. Usually she stayed closer to her current home when hunting, but something had compelled her to move out further. Perhaps her sense of adventure had decided to kick in. She had not been around this area for too long and she was certainly curious to explore it before she moved on. The mountain ranges in particular had caught her attention as she realized they were much closer than she had at first thought them to be. Tala couldn’t remember the last time she had been this close to a mountain before and wondered what sorts of creatures lived near them. Perhaps she would find something she had never seen before. The possibility of finding something she had never seen before spurred her on, quickening her pace to get closer to the mountains and the mysteries they surely hid beneath them.

Nirav tread lightly over the grass as he usually did. Being from the sky clan, he had familiarized himself with the parts of the mountains that he could climb to, much to his family's dismay, glancing back towards the mountains that protected his home and his family. It wasn't often that the almost full grown lion was able to sneak away from the watchful eyes of his mother and siblings, but he was becoming increasingly good at it the more often he did it. It was the only way he thought he could truly become a good hunter; by practicing by himself. Today was no exception to that. Perhaps one day he would actually have a proper teacher and one who could actually work with him despite his handicap.

Despite the trees being no different than others of their kind that she had seen, Talasi still felt as if everything was different here. It was certainly a beautiful area, and so quite it seemed. She stared curiously around her, glancing from tree to tree and through their foliage in to the sky. The patch of trees ended and Talasi found herself out in a more open area. It was quite a wonderful sight. With a chuckle she charged through the grass, weaving and ducking around taller strands as she made her way towards the next patch of trees. This one looked to be a bit bigger, and as she ducked behind a trunk she took a quick rest, chest heaving from her sudden sprint. "Such a lovely area. The mountains are so tall." Her gaze shifted upwards towards the peaks of the mountains.

Ears swiveled to the side, his bright green feather hitting the side of his head as Nirav's attention turned to a faint voice that he was not familiar with. The pride he was born into was small enough that it was easy to know almost everyone. That voice sounded nothing like anyone he knew, or at least recognized. Maybe he did but they were just far away so it sounded faint! Or maybe if he didn't know them, he could get to know them! The thought of someone else being out here that he knew excited the almost full grown lion, spurring him onward to find the owner of the voice. With a perk in his step, he went in the direction of the voice.

The sights were all quite impressive to her as she started her pace back up. The short rest had been nice, but this new area was too much of an adventure for her to rest very long. Talasi took and rounded the tree, eyes roaming over the surroundings as she did. With a grin she pushed off from the trunk that she had been leaning against and started to dash again through the trees. Dodging trunk and weaving around bushes, she was quite enjoying herself. Suddenly she came to a halt and fell in to a crouch, ears perked forward as she tried to steady her heavy breathing. She stared intently around her, having though she heard a noise.

As she listened she could hear what sounded like paw steps. Somewhat feint and growing louder as whatever it was neared her. Talasi crept forward towards a bush and proceeded to wiggle her way inside. Nose poked out from the other side, followed by just enough of her face to see out of the leaves. Almost half her body sticking out of the other side. She looked curiously around, waiting for whatever this mysterious beast was to get nearer.

Nirav cocked his head to the side as she stopped not far away from the lioness' person. Her coloring as similar to others he had seen, but nothing that matched anyone he knew directly. Odd that she was here, but then again, he wasn't exactly that far in the Ela'wadiyi lands to begin with. Quietly, he attempted to sneak up on her. With her rump sticking out, the still growing lion cub thought it all to be a game and that she was attempting to hide from him. With a grin on his face, Nirav gently tapped the base of her tail with his paw before jumping backwards and crouching to the ground, tail raised and swaying, fully expecting her to already understand his playful intent.

Using the bush as camouflage had seemed a good idea, but the leaves kept poking her ears, causing them to twitch and make the leaves rustle. This just made it an even worse hiding spot, as now not only were her ears itchy but she couldn't hear. Just as she was thinking to exit her terrible hiding spot something touched her. Not knowing what it was Talasi jumped, tumbling noisily and ungracefully out of the bush on to the ground on the other side. She quickly righted herself, muscles tensed as she crouched ready to either fight or run.

Before her stood another lion. He looked to be a bit younger, and had some strange markings across his fur and a feather hanging from one ear. "Who are you?"

Nirav stood up to the full height, his head cocking to the side again in confusion. She was obviously not from around her based on the tone and how she was acting. If she had been, she could have easily figured out at least where he was from based on the bright green feather hanging from his right ear. He looked back towards the mountains then back to her and then back to the range once more before finally settling on her.

His leg raised, the back of his paw hitting the underside of his chin; his throat before shaking his head with a smile. Nirav tipped his head, motioning back towards the lioness. Of course he could only hope that she would understand him.

The other lion had stood, and as he did so did Talasi. The male looked over at the mountains and she did as well, glancing back to see him looking at her, then back at the mountains and finally back to her. She cocked her head to one side, brow furrowing. "You live here then?" Why did he just not speak if that was what he meant? His next motion almost made her gasp. She stayed silent for a moment, attempting not to blurt out her question and sound rude. before daring to speak. "Can you..not talk?"

A quick nod was hopefully all that was needed to confirm her question of him. Of course Nirav was smiling though. It was the truth so there was no reason for him to think her rude or offensive for asking, though it was possible another lion might have should it have not been and merely a choice to not speak. A low rumble suddenly interrupted the two though; Nirav's stomach. It was well into the afternoon and the young lion had barely eaten that day. With a sheepish grin he again he glanced to the mountain range, but this time took a step towards home before looking back to the lioness, back to the range, then back to her once more.

Talasi stood still for a moment. She had never met anyone unable to speak before. Amazement as his ability to get along without the use of his voice mixed with a sudden pity. But why? He seemed happy enough without it. She pushed the thought aside at the sound of the silent male's stomach. Then he seemed to motion her, to follow perhaps? Tala moved to follow. If she was wrong then the worst that would happen was he would ditch her, but she was curious to learn more about this voiceless lion and his home. "I'm Talasi." She ginned softly at him. "It's nice to meet you."
