June and Mac's Apartment

User Image

This small apartment is now the home of two very active roommates. Seeing how it's one room, there isn't much space for either of the two, though thanks to conflicting schedules, they almost never bump into each other with in the room. Scattered across the floor are all of June's art supplies, and appropriately, hung up and lying down all over the room are his recent paintings. Of course, the boys live in bunk beds, its cooler that way.

Junior's last few weeks had been going really.. really nicely, to his utmost surprise. He hadn't ever had such a nice time ever! It was why he had swapped all of his classes to online ones instead so he could stay in Nirvani just that much longer. He wanted more time and chances to run into Yuri – the.. the girl was nice and he felt a real connection with her. Something he hadn't had ever in his life! It was even better than his connection with Rune – and.. and since he had wanted to marry Rune, that meant he should want to marry Yuri too, right..? This could be his only chance at life long happiness and.. and he had to make sure it would work!

He would never forgive himself if he let this one slip away, so he had to make sure every loose end and potential issue would be wrapped up! Which was why the redhead stood, shakily, at the front door of June and Maverick's apartment. He had gotten news from his father on where the two lived and, after many, many, many days of urging himself, he had managed to come up here. His throat felt dry and he knew he was pale as could be as he stood there, clammy hands tapping the door gently in some hope that they wouldn't answer. Neither would be home. He would be allowed to leave and say he tried. But, he couldn't let himself do that – so, he rang the doorbell and dropped to his knees, covering his head and hoping that the others wouldn't only be mad enough to hit him and not shoot or.. or knife him or something.

In the small confinements that two young men call home, a subtle scraping sound filled the room. It wasn't a harsh noise. Rather, it gave the area an aura of craftsmanship. This matched the scenery well. Scattered across the room was plenty of paint splattered objects, rugs, plastic covering, canvases, brushes, rags, sponges, and even the cans that the paint came from. In any normal house this would count as a mess, especially if someone took into account all the food and clothes lying around. However to the people who lived here, it was the norm. And like normal, the head of the 'household' was among the mess, creating more filth as he worked. The blonde artist, who went by his name of June, was scraping away at his most recent painting using an x-acto knife. It was a crude way of adding to a painting, but the savage looking chips at the created scene added a feeling to the work of art that was very much reflective of its creator. June always had a haphazard way of painting, and yet he never got many critiques. Of course except for one person in particular. A young red head who had also lived in the apartment had been giving his delightful opinion on the blonde's work all morning. Luckily, the young artist had a heart of gold and the patience of a... "You know what... No. Get the hell out."

Any harsh comment that Maverick had been spouting was recently cut short by June's sudden outburst. "What's wrong? Can't handle a little constructive criticism?" The loaf spoke from a top his bed. His roommate didn't even bother responding. Of course, that didn't sit well with Mac. This morning the youthful socialite had been trying to recover from a strong headache that was self-inflicted the night before through plenty of drinking. It was for this reason alone that Mac had even decided to stay in the apartment all morning. It was incredible, since it was his least favorite thing to do. And yet, here he was, annoying his roommate as it was the only way to entertain himself. Maverick was normally lucky that June had the amazing ability to completely tune out the people talking to him. Which is why, Mac found it incredibly strange that he had incited some kind of reaction from the blonde. "Just go back to scratching away," Mac began talking once again as he got himself up from the bed, "Just scrape the whole thing while your at it, it's not like it's going to sell anyway." After the red head's little comment, he walked over to his friend and placed his arm around June's shoulders.

It was a mistake. After hearing Mac's comment and hearing a slight tapping at the door, the blonde decided that he was fed up with his roommates actions. Using his arm between them, he knocked away the red head's arm from his shoulders and then placed his food unto his stomach. With a zero delay, June kicked Maverick onto his back. When his roommate hit the floor there was a loud thud and a plethora of loud bangs and clangs as scattered objects were knocked around. And, atop all the noise, June spoke in his apathetic tone, loud enough for anyone outside the room to hear, "I'll kill you." Not an uncommon phrase between the two, but still an oddity for any passerby. June soon remembered the tapping at the door and made his way to the front of the apartment, stepping over any obstacle in his way. And when he reached his destination, and after sighing about the rooms condition, he opened the door with a monotone, "Hello." His eyes scanned the visitor, recognizing the familiar face. He gave the boy a bit of a stare before deciding to greet him properly. "Need something Junior?" He spoke roughly as he pointed at the boy with the x-acto knife he had forgot to put down. He wasn't trying to be rude, even though he was sure someone had told him pointing at people with objects was just that.

Crouched on the doorstep of June and Maverick's apartment, Junior had expected his life to end every second – he expected the door to be flung open, a half empty bottle of beer in one of their hands, and a gun in the other as they cocked it at his head.. Oh, god, he was shaking at just the thought! But, before any of that could happen, he heard a noise. He wondered if he was hallucinating for a second there as he lowered his hands from his eyes, looking at the door in curiosity. What.. was that? He scooted closer, pressing his ear to the door and squinting his eyes in concentration while he tried to make out the sounds. Scuffling, some yellowing, and.. death threats? Oh, GOD, he was really going to die, wasn't he? The man jumped to his feet and let out a small yelp despite himself, smoothing his hair back out of nervous habit while he paced on the spot.

He had been preparing for death, true, but not preparing for it in a.. in a really real way! He didn't think he was going to honestly die today! He swallowed hard and paused – but.. But, it wouldn't be so bad! There was always a chance he would survive and Yuri could – Oh, God, she could be in there right now. He hadn't thought of that! He hadn't even brought a ring! What if she wanted him to sweep her off her feet? Was Junior strong enough for that? He was in the midst of feeling his biceps to see if they were at all capable of such a feat when the door opened and he was reminded of his own potential death by a godforsaken knife. He broke out into a cold sweat as he looked at the blonde, “..H-h-hiii..” He croaked out at first, stepping back without realizing it as he reached out a trembling hand towards June, “I-I.. Uh, um, c-can.. can I come – I mean, uh. Can.. can I c-come i-in? Ineedtospeakwithyou.” He finally managed to spit out, even forcing some kind of grimace smile on his face to appear friendly!
