Drox opened his eyes. There was a shooting pain in his side. He glanced and saw his blue fur stained red. He was floating in the water. It took him a moment to remember what happened. He had jumped, with A'lan to this river below. It was a crazy move, but Dhalven was no where to be seen. He wondered what their next plan would be. He knew his cut was deep and would have to have it looked at before they got too far.
Than he remembered A'lan. What if he was hurt too! It would be his fault. As he begun to panic, he couldn't but help but remember that A'lan was not his friend. They were enemies, despite any feelings he had toward the other lion. He couldn't just pretend he buddies with him. Eventually he would have to return to his Master, with A'lan and face his punishment. It was going to happen whether of not Drox wanted it to happen. He had a duty to his Master to do as he was told.
"A'lan, how are you doing?"

The water was colder then A'lan was used to and the sudden tempature change felt like a slap to his bones. When he broke the surface he gasped and wheezed, taking in lungfuls of air. He was shivering from nose to tail, but that didn't matter right now. A'lan looked around for Drox and found him flouting not to far away due to the rope that bound them together. He swam over to find Drox seemingly unconscious. There was a frightful amount blood staining the water near the lion. Is that what had caused him to cry out? He carefully grabbed the back of his neck and began to swim to the nearest shoreline. There was a small outcropping near the base of the cliff that gave them decent cover from the sides and the top of the cliff itself. He was pretty sure that they would be safe from Dhalven there. At least for the moment.
He let go of Drox in surprise when the lion spoke up. His teeth chattered now that they were not occupied. "I-I'm f-f-fine Drox. B-but w-we have t-to g-get out of t-the water! I-I h-have t-to make s-sure that your w-wound gets t-treated." He reclaimed his grip and began to swim the rest of the way.

He was used to the cool running water, so it didn't seem to affect him the same as A'lan. He looked at the cold wet lion and he couldn't help but laugh. They had made it. They were alive. He almost felt as if he was laughing death in the face. "I can't believe we are alive!" He finally said once he was done laughing. "You look horrible!" he splashed him with water in a youthful way.
If he had done anything like that to his master he would have been beaten on the spot, but with A'lan he was sure he could get away with it. "My wounds are fine. They hurt but they'll heal on their own. We should get away. Dhalven may know where we are. We could find a hiding place deep in the jungle. When it is safe we can return to my master."
He knew that his master would be displeased with how long they were taking, but he would explain that it was tough being tied up to another lion. Than he would offer to personally train A'lan. He would at least be gentle. His master wouldn't. He had no idea how he would react if his master were to harm A'lan. As much as he hated to admit it, he had begun to get a soft spot for the lion and he did not want to see him get harmed.
He made his way out of the water. When he reached the shore his wound shot with pain and he let out a quiet wimper. He hoped that A'lan didn't hear him. It would be embarrassing for him if the other lion saw him in his moment of weakness.

A'lan let go of Drox now that he was able to swim on his own. He was a little concerned when he started laughing but smiled at his statement about being alive. At the other comment he grimiest a bit. He probably did look horrible. Something akin to a drowned shivering rat. He was surprised when he got splashed, but retaliated with a smile.
Maybe Drox considered him a friend after all?
They climbed out of the water and the windchill hit him like a rock. He crouched low to try and gain some body heat but it didn't seem to help at all. The shivering turned to shuddering. He managed to catch Drox's whimper over the chattering of his own teeth and recalled the statement he made about it not hurting and to leave it be.
"D-drox, p-lease l-let me take a l-look at your w-w-wound? I-I h-have n-no d-doubt that it d-doesn't b-b-bother you, b-but i-indulge me w-w-will y-you?"

Drox rolled his eyes. "It's not like it hurts. You wouldn't understand being a weak Jedi." he said in a joking way. He held his paw up so A'lan could examine it. He had never had such a deep cut before, and despite how much he hated to admit it, the wound hurt more than anything. It would take a while to heal, he wasn't an idiot. He just didn't want A'lan to worry him. Plus they would waste time if he treated his wound. Once A'lan examined his paw he would take them to the safety of the forrest.
His thoughts lingered back to the choice he had to make. He watched A'lan carefully as he thought. His master would be mad if he didn't return soon, but what if he didn't return at all. What if he went with A'lan to the jedi? He shook his head at the thought. Him a jedi. They wouldn't accept him, he was a sith. A horrible evil sith, at least that is what they would think. A'lan would say other wise though right?
He stared into the others eyes. Could A'lan think he is evil, a monster. Everyone else seemed to think so. He wouldn't be mad at him if he did. After all he did tease him and make fun of him constantly. "D-Do you think I'm a monster," he said with a stutter. He was almost scared of the answer. "I am evil and horrible. A sith. You're enemy. Do you think I am a monster?"

He smiled at the joke but was a bit surprised when Drox actually lifted his paw up for him to look at. All the time being stuck in the Healers' chamber gave him an above average knowledge of medicine. He took a quick look around to see if there were any herbs around that could help. Ah! There was one-.
But when Drox asked his question, A'lan whipped back around to look at him, eyes wide. His chest felt tight and that tugging feeling was back in full force. He forgot about how cold he was. Was that what Drox thought he was? A monster?
A'lan walked closer to Drox and pressed his head against the other lion's chest in comfort. "I don't think your a monster Drox and I have a feeling that I never will." He tilted his head and gave Drox a true smile. "Now, I've spotted a plant over there that should help your wound. Think that we can maybe head over there real quick?"

He felt a warmth grow inside him when the other lion pressed his head against him. It was a comfort that he had never known before. His own heart beat quickened and his cheeks felt warm. "M-my master wanted me to become a monster like him." Drox confessed as he slowly sat down. He would fianlly be able to get this off his chest. Up till this point he had no one who would listen to him, but A'lan was different. A'lan was special.
"He trained me since I was a cub. He stole me from my parents, who were like him, monsters. But they were still my parents, my monster parents. I had always thought, since I was little that I would have to be a monster, like them. It would only make sense you know? If two monsters had a cub that cub would be a monster just like his parents." The thoughts of his parents stung him. He wondered if they were even alive at this moment and if they were what they were up to.
"You are the first one to say I'm not a monster." he stared deeply at A'lan, hoping the other would understand. "I don't know why, but you give me a light inside my dark soul. You make me want to become something other than a monster like what my master wants me to become. You even make we want to go with you, to the Jedis, even though I know they will reject me. They could never allow a son of a monster, the apprentice of a monster into the jedi order."
He knew, even though the small light inside him wanted to join, it would never work. He might as well live his life as a rogue. His master by now would kill him if he returned because of how late it was. He would find a safe place to stay, maybe near the jedi order. That way he could see his knew friend.

Drox was warm against him and he moved to press his body into the other lion's side in silent support, head still tucked under Drox's jaw. His life's story rumbled in his ear and made his heart ache. This lion had had no one to love him for so long. To have someone constantly telling you how much of a monster you are, how long do you have to hear that before you started to believe it?
"Drox, the only way that you become a monster is if you choose to be. Your master, that cheetah, they chose to become what they are. Just because you are born from those who made their choice, doesn't mean that you have to make the same one." He took a deep breath, steeling himself, before continuing. "Drox, I told you before that I knew what its like to be alone. M-my parents ignored me, I don't think I had even ten words spoken to me before I left. They never cared. When my master had found me, questioning my existence, he asked them if I could go with him to join the Jedi. They just turned and left me there with him. They had made their choice, and I made mine. They decided not to care, and I sometimes care a bit no much. You're free to make your own choices in life and if one of those is to join the Jedi, we would gladly accept you with open arms."
A sudden light-headed feeling over took him, making him sway on his feet and dread washed through his body. No! Not now-!
A forest rushing by- A lion baring down upon him -familiar?- Feelings of resolute determination- a voice calling to him- and then sudden pain across his face- Two older lions -Was that him and Drox?- smiling at each other-
He sucked in a sudden gasp and reeled away, the rope going tight and pulling him to the ground, still trying to reorient himself. A vision? But- they were never THAT clear. The last time they had was when he had gotten sick- Oh no.
He got onto shaky legs - after effects of the vision and the cold was starting to rear its ugly head again- and if he looked five shades whiter he wouldn't be surprised.
"W-we need to go." The urgency of that fact in his mind was outstanding. SOMETHING was going to happen and it was going to happen SOON.

Drox nodded. He slowly put weight on his front paw. A strike of pain filled his paw. He clenched his teeth in pain, though he avoided showing any sign of pain on his face. Drox watched A'lan with worry. Something had obviously happened to A'lan to make him this panicked. His old master had told him about visions. He wasn't about to question A'lan about it. This jedi was the first lion to ever show any kindness to him. He wasn't about to ignore his warnings.
He was a fair distance away. The two lions had been reckless to escape the cheetah, he noticed. It seemed as if his little monster had gotten hurt. No matter, he thought. Drox would have to be punished for his behavior. Normally he would kill any apprentice who showed any signs of disobedience. However Drox was a special case. The lion had the blood of those who used the dark side. A prize like that couldn't be found easily.
He knew he shouldn't have left Drox alone with the jedi. His own selfishness of wanting another apprentice was his own downfall. The two had already created a bond, Majanga noticed from watching them. Destroying a bond like that could drive Drox deeper into the darkness, he thought, debating what his next move should be. He imagined Drox's claws burying into the other lion's throat. The other's lion's eye would grow big for just a moment as he took his last breath. Than Drox's decent into the darkness would be complete. The thought comforted Majanga. He bolted out toward the two lions ready to attack.

Still reeling a bit from his vision he leaned on Drox to steady himself. He pressed his head into the other cubs neck for comfort. For the short amount of time he has known Drox, the connection they had made rivaled, perhaps even surpassed the one he had with his Master. Being with him just felt RIGHT. Being this close, A'lan was able to feel Drox's muscles tense when he clenched his teeth. He looked up in worry, but before he got the chance to ask if he was alright, it felt like his heart stopped.
He whipped around, almost snapping the rope taunt, and put himself between Drox and the familiar dark presence. Sure enough the Sith burst out of the underbrush. The same cold fear tried to over take him, but this time he wouldn't let it. He embraced it, turning it into the will to protect Drox from this lion that was trying to convince him he was a monster. He held his ground.
"Stay away from him!"

Drox eyes went wide. He knew he couldn't fight his old master in his current condition. However, if this was how it was going to end for him he was grateful to be with A'lan. They should have hated each other, but they didn't. Was this bond they shared one of brothers? He thought as he stood near A'lan. No, whatever they shared it wasn't one of brothers he was sure. He decided he would talk to A'lan about it, if they made it out alive.
He closed his eyes, not sure if he wanted to see what was going to happen.
Majanga noticed the way the young jedi protected his young apprentice. He almost chuckled. Peace between the jedi and the sith could never happen. The jedi had betrayed them and they wanted, no needed their revenge. As he was about to strike an idea poped in his head. A smirk fell on his maw. For his new idea he needed to let these two go, however he didn't really want them to go back to the jedi unharmed.
To get revenge though, sometimes the impossible was meant to happen. Peace between the Jedi and Sith. Could it be done? He would have to try. Letting Drox go would be the start of the struggle for peace. It wouldn't be too hard to find a new apprentice.
He swiped his left paw at the young jedi, his claw digging in under his right eye. His paw tore through the fur and the flesh in an instant. Once he was done he could feel the blood dropping from his claw. He wished he could have really enjoyed harming him, especially in front of Drox, however he knew time was not on his side. That his old apprentice needed medical help and if his was to work he would need Drox alive. I GOT TO PLAY THE VILLAIN I GOT TO PLAY A BAD GUY
Also side not sorry that I sorta didn't follow the game plan. Um yeah. This felt right when I wrote it. It felt very ic. If it doesn't work I can rewrite it.

He realized that he was ready for this. He knew what was going to happen and he was completely alright with what was to come. It was an amazing feeling, being completely calm with one's self. His Master had spoken about this feeling before. But the way he had described it was a pale compassion to the actual feeling.
This inner calm helped him focus as the Sith Lord advanced quickly upon him, malice in his eyes. He raised his paw to strike, and all A'lan could think of was that he wished Drox didn't have to see this.
The strike bit deep under his left eye and tore a burning path of pain across his face. But he ignored it, instead he followed the flow of the blow, spinning around and using his hind legs to kick out the Sith Lord's other front leg. He didn't wait to hear the thump of the older lion hitting the ground. He made eye contact with Drox. "Run!" He took off, knowing Drox would follow.

His eyes stayed shut. He heard the force of a paw going through the air. It was going toward A'lan and he couldn't do anything to protect him. However there wasn't a cry of pain, or even a shudder. He opened one of his eyes to see what had happened. Then he saw A'lan knock over Majanga and yell to run.
Was this really happening? Were they going to be safe from the sith lord? Drox felt now more then ever that he had chosen the right path, that now the force was strong with them. He rushed behind A'lan, his front paw still hurting, but he knew they would be safe soon. It didn't matter if the jedi accepted him or not, as long as they let him stay for a little bit he would be happy.
Majanga told him all about the jedi, their strict ways, how they stripped their pupils of all individuality, and forced them to follow a code. Drox couldn't help but think of the sith were very much like that. Majanga demanded Drox to be more like him, merciless, completely filled with hate and not know what love was. Drox had listened to Majanga since he was the lion who saved him and protected him.
However he was older know and could make his own decisions, the right decisions. He was done with the path of the dark side. All he wanted was to find a new path, a path that would hopefully keep him near his new friend. As he ran a smile ran across his maw. His new friend A'lan. His best friend, his only friend.
The fall didn't hurt much but he was surprise by the strength the young jedi had in him. He laid there and watch them leave. Because of their rush, they would leave a trail right to the jedi temple. He would follow, though taking his time. This new mission of his was not one of anger or hate, rather one of peace. For once he thought that the jedi and sith ought to have a period of peace between them. It wouldn't hurt to try?
They were so similar after all. The only real difference was how they used the force and their training. The jedi were just as selfish, just as self centered as any sith could be. They paraded their selfless acts, as if to show that they were above other around them. He on the other paw had sacrifised so much, so many young pupils in the name of trying to find peace between them.
Now was the chance for peace. He gave them something of his, his own precious apprentice. Now he would wait for the right opportunity and take something of theirs. He would have to wait, be patient. But all good things happen to those to wait.
For now he would follow the path and see where his apprentice and prey would lead him. He would come back and visit the jedi another time. First he wanted to get some advise from a seer. He had heard rumors about different ones hidden away in forest. Once he used their ability he was sure he would know what path to follow next.
