What happens when a 'normal' girl with an already tricky life finds it gets even more complicated when a past she barely remembers comes to light with an odd being she'd never seen before? Akiraa Éabha Mckenna is a normal girl... or so she thinks. She enjoys parkour at times with her cousins and is also skilled at music, which she finds relaxing.

I am not for you, my Lady.
Roe frowned the dragon. It was a very special breed from her homeworld, it had landed near her. What did it mean it wasn't for her?
I mean exactly as I say. I am for another. You were simply a convenient beacon. It replied.
Roe sighed, "Right." She murmured. She'd been out on her patrol looking for the Bells when she'd sensed its arrival. She'd immediately detoured, only to find she'd wasted her time.
You did not waste your time, my Lady. I am relieved to see you in good health. I will be happy to send back a message.
"Not necessary. I hope you find who you need." Roe replied before turning and walking away.
It was night right now, the early hours when guards were more prone to be found sleeping at their posts. Aerie lifted her angular head and tested the air. She let out a soft audible chime before moving like quicksilver out of the park and down the street.

Akiraa sighed, tilting her head so the dark blue bangs fell over her face. She looked up with determination, her sky blue eyes narrowing as she looked at the board up and over her head. She crouched for a moment and pushed off, her bare feet whispering softly before her snapping kick split the board in two. She smirked slightly as she landed. Fortunately I already went through the katas, defensive measures, and sparring, so... all that remains is one more break... with concrete, she thought, a slight shudder slipping over her. She had trained in Tang Soo Do for six and a half years intensely, and once she did this final break... she would acheive her goal of becoming Chokiyonim, rather than Cho Dan Bo. Both meant '1st Dan Black Belt' and 'Black Belt Candidate' respectively."Are you ready for your final break, Éabha?" her sensei asked. She smiled broadly, bowing slightly in the gray gi and white gi bottoms she wore. "Hai, Kwanjanim Hiashi," she said simply. She caught a flicker of movement against the lights out of the corner of her eye through the front glass as if something refracted the light. She assumed Kee Ma, or horseback riding stance, and drew her forearm down and across the gray concrete block before she drew back and drove it forward and down in one fluid strike. "That's it!!" she barked as the concrete split, then broke into several fragments. She blinked, having noticed a momentary flash of bluish lavender energy rippling at the instant of impact. What was that? she thought. "Due to the training and skill you have shown, Cho Dan Bo Éabha, I formally award you the rank of Chokiyonim," her sensei said as she assumed the Choon Be, or ready stance. She bowed as she took the new belt in both hands. Within minutes, she had replaced the midnight blue belt with the black belt and had slipped on her sneakers. She thanked her sensei and darted out of the door, intent on finding out what she'd seen.

Aerie found her easily enough. She'd clambered up a tree and hunkered down, watching the world slowly wake up. Luckily, there were no bird nests in this tree or there would be an unholy commotion. She knew the moment Akiraa roused and she waited, invisible in the foliage. Aerie stayed camaflouged as she trailed.
She felt a swelling of pride seeing that she was already strong. It must be what triggered her call. She was here because Akiraa was ready, well, close to ready anyway. She shifted to another part of the room but froze when she noticed Akiraa going still for an moment. Had she been spotted? Akiraa was more sensitive than the others in the room, if the light hit her just right....
She stayed still after that and waited for Akiraa finish before trailing her once again.

Akiraa shook her dark blue hair and violet bangs out of her eyes as she left the dojo. She wore dark blue and white sneakers with black cargo pants and a dark violet shirt under a tan jacket. She had a training bag over one shoulder that held her gi and black belt. "Now I just have to get to school," she murmured. She started walking briskly, her curly hair waving down around her lower back. Her gaze shifted almost constantly, scanning everything around her. Her gaze drifted past where Aerie was, though she didn't notice anything odd. She glanced down at her left arm, thinking. "What was that flicker of energy last night?" she murmured.

School was going to be interesting. Because no one could see her, they wouldn't mind walking right into her. Creating a keep-away aura was also a bit risky, Akiraa might notice a specific spot being strangely avoided by everyone. She'd have to stick to the cielings to keep out of everyone's way...
She paused as Akiraa looked around, her eyes skimming right over her location before resuming her tailing detail.

Akiraa sighed as she walked, her gaze shifting around cautiously. She'd recently transferred to Tokyo from Dublin, Ireland, mainly just for the different atmosphere. "Maybe I'll run into someone I know there," she murmured to herself, knowing the Irish lilt in her voice made her stand out a fair amount. Sometimes it's a good thing to live above the dojo... other times it's a bad thing, she thought. She moved more quickly, a slight frown crossing her face as she paused to wait for a crosswalk. She glanced to the side to see a tall girl with a tan dress and white blouse and her dark brown hair in a high ponytail over her green eyes. "I can't shake the sense that... something more is meant for me," she murmured as she saw the girl with the ponytail glance around, her gaze momentarily landing on Akiraa before drifting on. She noticed the girl was only a few inches taller than her. She sighed as the crosswalk shifted to green before she walked briskly across the street, a pace or two behind the girl with the ponytail. A shiver of awareness went down her spine as her forehead warmed slightly. She thought it was the sun as she half turned toward it, not realizing that the glowing pale teal emblem that shone on her forehead for several seconds. She sighed as she turned away, the symbol fading away as she continued on.(You just take out that central circle and dot at the center... that's the mark she has.)

Instead of crossing the street, Aerie took to the air, lauching easily into the air to land on the traffic light above the crosswalk. She settled easily, watching Akiraa cross the street. She felt the surge before she saw the emblem and in response, she oppened her mouth and let out a crystalline bell like chime. Akiraa would hear it clearest of all but others would hear it as well but like typical mundanes would then shrug it off and continue with their lives.
The emblem, of course, faded and Aerie peered down at the girl walking in front of Akiraa. She tilted her head slightly and shifted her weight on her perch.

Akiraa heard the chime and felt a ripple of awareness shoot down her spine. She saw the other girl glance around as if she'd noticed it too, but she shrugged it off after a few minutes. There's something familiar about her, she thought, though she was absolutely certain she'd never seen the girl before. "I'm Akiraa, and you are?" she said dryly, knowing it sounded blunt and cold. The girl laughed, as if amused. "I'm Kino Makoto, nice to meet you," she said, glancing back at her. For an instant, Akiraa clearly saw her in a deep forest green gown with a gold and emerald tiara before the image faded. Now I'm even more certain I've seen Makoto before... she thought. She kept her expression distantly pleasant, giving nothing away of her confused and wary thoughts. Her gaze shifted upward for an instant, catching a momentary flicker of light atop the traffic light. She blinked, but didn't stop. Was that a wing? I noticed a slight shifting in the air at the same time, she thought, not realizing her hand had clenched momentarily on the handle of her training bag. "There are times when I feel like life is slapping me up side the head to get my attention," she murmured. Makoto glanced back at her with a grin. "You sound like Usagi, though in her case it's usually because she overslept," she said with amusement.

((and a little somethin' somethin' to mix things up.))
A shiver of unease made Aerie stiffen and she shifted her sight away from the girls. They hadn't finished crossing the street yet and the light was flashing. Some mundane wasn't paying attention. In a big hurry, perhaps late for something, perhaps distracted by something going on in their vehicle. At any rate, they weren't going to wait for the signal to turn and Akiraa and Makota were still in the crosswalk.
Aerie watched the car jump continue down the street, not showing any signs of slowing although the light was red. She let out a warning shriek like crystal scraping together and dropped from her perch, landing right between the oncoming car and the girls. She lifted her wing into a shield position just in time and the car smashed into it. She only skidded back a bit at the impact but the car went flipping up overhead before landing harmlessly on it's tires in the intersection.
The noise was horrendous and for those few seconds, Aerie was visible, though most everyone was looking at the airborne vehicle. As soon as possible, Aerie went invisible again but she stayed on the street near the girls, glaring at the car that nearly killed them. Stupid mundanes....

Akiraa's head whipped around at the odd shrieking sound before she grabbed Makoto's forearm and twisted her upper body with a snap. Makoto's eyes widened when Akiraa flipped her, letting her land on the sidewalk. Akiraa herself leaped aside, though her eyes widened when she saw the draconian creature materialize upon impact with the car. Her gaze remained locked on it, ignoring the car completely as it slammed to the ground, its undercarriage creaking as two of the tires blew out with gunshot pops.

Aerie craned her neck to find Akiraa staring at her. She knew she was invisible but she knew Akiraa had seen her. Better sooner than later, I suppose, Aerie thought. She wouldn't be surprised if Akiraa could still see her, just perhaps not as clearly, maybe an odd outline in the air. She'd gotten Makota out of the way and had dodged danger herself, perhaps her intervention hadn't been necessary? She immediately abolished that thought, it had been a visceral reaction, she couldn't have done anything other than what she'd done; she had been selected as Akiraa's Guardian, hadn't she?
Akiraa shook herself and lifted her head higher. In her present size, she was between the size of a mastiff and medium-sized dog. As it was, standing her back legs she would have been eye level with Akiraa. It was becoming crowded, it was time to go. Aerie let out a chiming noise and moved out of the street and onto the sidewalk, continuing on the path towards Akiraa's school.

Akiraa sighed, her gaze shifting back to the sidewalk as she walked briskly. Perhaps she'll find me when the time is right, she thought. Her head cocked slightly as if thinking. She wasn't sure how she knew the draconian was female, but deep in her gut, she was certain of it. "When the time is right... though somehow... I think it'll be sooner rather than later," she murmured under her breath. A shiver shot down her spine at that, though she didn't really notice it as she picked up speed. She noticed Makoto several yards away, doing the same.
