The sunlight was feeling good on Dar’s feathers as he was sunbathing. He yawned lazily and looked away from the overly bright surface of the lake he was laying next to. A short trot away was the forest edge and blush line. He ran a paw through is orange hair and it definitely sprang back into its usual place. He looked down to see a row of little ants scurrying about their business. He was curious to see how far the little workers would walk. Getting up slowly he got up and stretched his wings out and shook the sand out of his fur before trailing alongside the row of ants mildly amused.

If this was actually the place she was thinking it was, there should be a lake around here somewhere. Meade let out a small sigh as she padded through the forest. She could have sworn this was the right place. With another sigh, the multicolored vixen trudged on in search for a drink and was kindly rewarded. After pushing past a few bushes, she reached the clearing to the lake. Without hesitation or a glace around to see if the coast was clear, Meade happily dashed to the lake and jumped in, splashing water all along the shore line next to the spot she had jumped into.

The sounds of splashing made Dar look up from his ant stalking. He blinked and looked at the scene not quite sure what to make of it all. There was this strange vixen he had never seen before playing around in the water. He chuckled to himself having fun just watching her have fun. He pulled his wings next to his body as he watched her for a bit. He wasn’t really sure if he should interrupt her or not, she seemed to be having fun just playing by herself. Dar wondered if he would have as much fun playing alone or not. Probably not I would get bored and distracted and start doing something else.
(nope the color is just fine. Plus I can always copy and paste into a word document if I needed to.)
