It was far more simple to get in touch with another officer, than it was to randomly contact a senshi, light or dark. It wasn't like a cellphone, where a Verizon customer could call someone on AT&T, even though it used their minutes. For some reason, mirror-to-crystal communications hadn't been in the works yet. They were probably waiting for the new crystals to drop during the Holiday season, so you could justify picking up a new one...
Captain Howlite let her amusing thoughts slip away, however, as she glanced up at the night sky. It was getting late.
Unlike many of the Negaverse officers, Howlite held no particular hate for the Dark Mirror Court, and as such, planned on meeting with one tonight. They'd gotten along well enough in the heat of battle, and she wasn't one to let a connection die out. Someone had to keep tabs on the DMC, if they were to remain tentative allies, and apparently, most of her comrades weren't up to it.
When Super Sailor Leto arrived, she'd find herself greeted with a wide, friendly grin. "I was beginning to think you wouldn't show, Leto." It appeared to be a joke, as she looked far from upset. "Ready for a good time?"
She'd suggested, the last time they saw each other, that it might be interesting to do a patrol together, and see how it went.

To say that Leto was a little bit weary when Captain Howlite asked her to patrol with her was the understatement of the century. While she was happy to be allied with the Negaverse - let's be honest, that was better than them hunting her - was wasn't entirely sure if she trusted them, regardless of how friendly a few of them had been.
But Howlite had her back in the battle at Chronos Outpost. Better yet, she had the back of all of the new Dark Mirror Senshi that had been created, and that said a lot to the dark scout. With that thought in mind, Leto decided that this particular Negaverse Captain deserved her respect and quite possibly even camaraderie.
When Leto had finally arrived to their predetermined meeting place, she was pleased to see that her partner for the evening greeted her with a large grin.
"Hey, a Senshi's gotta be careful around you guys... For all I know you planned an ambush to kick my a**. Gotta have all my bases covered." She grinned back at Howlite.
Her hands rested on her hips as she took a quick look around. "I've never been more ready..." she said quietly. After the events that had taken place in space and between training the new DMC recruits, Leto was happy to be doing something as simple as patrolling tonight.

"Darlin', I'm an ambush all by myself." Kess thumbed both fists toward her chest, her lopsided grin growing a bit wider, despite the 'threatening' words.
They were downtown, late enough that most people were inside of clubs and bars, rather than wandering the street, but before last call. It was good to be back to routine, though some of the officers wounds were still healing.
"Y'all gather energy, right? I figured we could do a little hunting." Perhaps it was still new to the DMC, to have to pull energy from civilans, but for Howlite, it was old hat, something casual to talk about.

Leto couldn't help but laugh at Howlite's demeanor. It was nice to patrol with someone with a good sense of humor. She loved her fellow Dark Moon Senshi, she really did. But sometimes they could be a bit of a stick in the mud and Howlite was a welcome change. That, and she'd never patrolled with a Negaverse Agent before.
"We do it a little differently than you guys do," she said regarding gathering energy. "And we don't get fancy Youma to fight our battles for us." She winked at the other girl, a hint of playfulness in her deep red eyes.
She was still new at the idea of gathering energy. What seems like only a feew weeks prior, she was the one stopping the Negaverse from draining innocent civilians and now she was the one that White Moon Senshi were trying to stop. While the idea of harming civilians still didn't sit well with her, she knew it was for the Greater Good and she figured she'd get used to it eventually.
Practice makes perfect after-all!

"Variety is the spice of life," she intoned, raising her brows. "I haven't wrangled myself a youma buddy, actually, so I typically have to swing my own fists." Ticking off fingers, she briefly went over her personal 'rules'.
"Alright, so, just to be up front. I don't kill the civvies, and I tend to snag assholes, drunks, and those too high to do anything about it. Makes it easier on them, and me."
Some of her colleagues liked to 'hunt' people, or do difficult drains, or kill people, but really, that's what senshi were for. Howlite preferred to meet and exceed her energy quota, instead.
"If that's cool with you, we shouldn't have any problems."

Leto was at least impressed by the fact that Howlite fought her own battles. She grinned at the mention of swinging fists- that was something she herself was pretty damn good at. Blood Moon Court training had taught her well.
She listened as the Negaverse agent listed off her rules of play. “No killing, drain assholes. I think I can manage that.”
Truth be told, the one thing that she was unsure of now that she was an agent of Chaos was the possibility of having to kill civilians. It was kind of nice to be patrolling with someone who had similar ideals and lack of desire to kill. She had to remind herself sometimes that under the Negaverse attire, there was a civilian under there and they weren’t all blood-thirsty animals.
“I think this will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship, Captain.” Leto smirked at the girl as she fiddled with her silver bracer- her mirrorshard sac tucked into the one she played with. Her mirrorwraith was definitely something she was getting used to using, but she’d be lying if she said she didn’t get a kick out of it.

"Oh, you do flatter me, Mistress Leto," It was with an unashamed flourish that the blonde bowed, winking from behind her colored shades. She hadn't had the opportunity to see any of the Dark Mirror senshi in action, beyond their battle in the Surrounding [had anyone, really?], and so for her, this was both informative and a pleasure. Howlite did like pleasant company, and Leto was proving to fit the bill nicely.
Of course, all play and no work made Howlite a unsatisfied girl, and she so enjoyed being satisfied.
Unless they ran into one of those righteous white senshi [honestly, must everything 'good' be white? How historically inaccurate], things should prove to be uneventful.
"We're downtown, of course, I'm sure you're familiar. I'll let you sniff us out a playmate," She grinned, "Show this poor Nega how it's down, and all that good stuff."
Maybe she was testing Leto. Just a wee bit.

“Mistress Leto, I like the sound of that,” she said as she held the sheer parts of her fuku and dropped down into a curtsy in response to Howlite’s bow. She laughed and nodded.
“Yeah, I used to patrol downtown when I was in the Blood Moon Court, so I’m pretty familiar.” Although when she would patrol down here in the BMC, it went a lot differently. Normally she would be stopping people like Howlite from draining civilians. But things have changed and now it was time to nut up or shut up.
Leto lead the way to an area downtown where she used to patrol, conveniently near a strip of bars and clubs that had a few drunks stumbling out of their front doors. She motioned at the trio of drunk guys, an eyebrow quirked at Howlite as if to ask if she was ready to play with the 3 of them.

"I admire your ambition," It was a low, amused murmur, said under her breath as dark eyes tracked the three males ahead. They were pretty oblivious to their surroundings, stumbling down the road and arguing drunkenly over some sort of machismo triviality that neither girl was inclined to follow.
Instead the blonde's fingers flexed, as she quickly went over various options in her mind. "If we knock 'em out fast, we won't have to deal with keeping an eye on all of them, and can get this done quickly." Also with minimal damage.
Her eyes shifted back to Leto, glancing her up and down. "I reckon you're more their type, if you want to provide a focal point." A grin.

If there was one thing that Sailor Leto enjoyed it was the rush of a challenge, and once she had her mind set on those 3 guys she was determined to get them no matter what it took.
Leto nodded when Howlite went on about knocking them out fast, almost tuning her out. Sher was cracking her knuckles as she watched the 3 men walk and that was the only place her focus was.
Until Howlite told her to be a distraction.
She looked down at her own fuku first- tube top, miniskirt and black kneehigh boots. Then she glanced at Howlite who was pretty much completely covered up. <******** my life..." she muttered quietly.
Instead of making it known to Howlite that Leto didn't have the slightest clue on how to flirt or use her assets to distract one man, let alone 3, she just shrugged her shoulders and crossed the street. Do whatever it takes, right?
She fidgeted slightly before swallowing hard and approaching the men with what she hoped was a very sexy, sultry expression. Realistically? She probably looked ridiculous.
"Hey there boys," she said incredibly awkwardly, standing with her hands on her hips and her right leg extended slightly in an attempt to draw their attention to it. Or something.
What the ******** was she doing?

Leto may have been able to hear the snort that Howlite attempted to suppress, pushing it back down her throat as she grabbed the rungs of a fire escape, pulling herself up until she reached the roof of a near by building. From there, it was easy to circle around the three fellows, so distracted they were by Leto's charms [and the alcohol in their bodies].
From above, she could hear their drunken attempts at humor.
"Hey, check it out,"
"Girl, Halloween's not until the weekend!"
"Kind of cute, though."
Howlite dropped down quietly, winking at her 'hunting partner' from behind the boys. The tallest felt a hand on his shoulder, turning just in time to receive a hard, determined punch to the chin.
He dropped like a stone.
The blonde couldn't resist a cheesy line, as she grinned at the two males left. "Hope this party isn't 'invite-only'!"
Maybe Leto would get a kick out of it. Either way, the fight was on!

Leto rolled her eyes at the comments that the group of men made towards her, a wide grin spreading across her simple features as Howlite dropped down behind them and winked at her. She couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculous line that Howlite said as she swung a fist at the jackass that called her cute.
When she clocked him in the jaw the man growled and swung right back at her, Leto ducking and leaning in to bring a knee up to his gut. As she stumbled back and regained her footing after the man shoved her away, she watched Howlite out of the corner of her eye to make sure she was handling the other man.
Figuring the other girl was doing just fine, she swung her right at the man and her booted foot collided with his ribs. When he clenched at his side, Leto tugged her small velvet sac out of her left bracer and pulled a shard of glass out of it. Pointing it at the man, a hyena-like cloud swirled out of it and prowled towards it's target. It lunged, and as it passed through the man it drained him- every time it did so, the wraith would become less translucent and an easier target.
3 passes was all it would take for the man to fall unconscious.

While Leto handled her man, Howlite had put her own into an armlock, forcing him to the ground and planting a knee firmly into his back. His struggles soon died, as she drained his energy and therefore, his resistance.
A prickle began at the back of her neck, and she released him, leaving him limp and unconscious on the ground. His energy orb was tucked into her uniform jacket, and a blonde head turned, dark eyes scanning.
She'd felt something. Weaker, but definitely... Order.
Lifting her chin toward the first man she'd knocked out, who had yet to be drained, she spoke quietly to Leto. "He's yours."
Her energy draining seemed to take longer, was more delicate. Howlite would have to keep any nosy good samaritans at bay while Leto finished up.
She grinned.
As if that was a problem.

A problem indeed.
Sailor Ate was all too aware of what the Negaverse could do and even with Howlite being one of the 'good' ones not killing her victims well, that was like trying to pick a weed out of the s**t that was the Negaverse. She was still hunting for energy, she was still sapping the life out of these people and she was doing it all in the name of a thing called chaos. Surely alarm bells had to be ringing when a name like that was thrown into the mix, but hell, she wasn't the girl to be talking sense into these nutters. All she knew and needed to know was that she had to break her knuckles on every one that she found. It was as simple as that.
Which is why tonight she was hanging around the more active patrolling areas. Active because this is where the drunks and the druggies came to stumble home or find a ditch to fall into. This was where Mary had died after Sugilites intervention and this was now where Ate had adopted her official patrol route. Usually it was opted best to have a group with you, or at least someone else. Doing a solo run around here? It was a death wish. But Ate wanted a fight, she wanted a reason to go crazy without the thought of getting someone else involved. She was looking for blood.
And boy did she find it.
"Pfft thought I could smell something bad!" Her words rang out to the two girls as she watched them attack the lads. They went down like a sack of spuds, probably subconsciously happy they got to 'sleep' now with the amount of alcohol fermenting off them. Didn't mean they were any less valuable or important.
Stepping out from the shadows Sailor Ate stood hands on hips, doing a far better job at it than Leto had just done to boys. Her face though was anything other than welcoming as she stared the two of them up and down, lips turned into a scowl as she eyed them.
"Preying on the drunk and stupid are we? Sounds just like the pathetic Negaverse to do something like that! Well in the Name of Ate, I protect the weak and defenceless! Leave them alone or prepare to get your asses kicked!"
Stupid bravado it may have been but she meant every word of it.

"Oh, please." Howlite flapped a hand, unperturbed by Ate's insults. "I've got a beachy scent, of sunshine and salt, and reckless abandon." Her dark eyes cut briefly over to Leto, who had almost finished draining. Just a bit longer, then. "I smell fantastic," Her gaze returned to the senshi, hitting her hips when the girl planted her hands on them. Nice. There weren't many curvaceous senshi about, most of them were twig thin, and obviously teenagers. Gross.
"Why don't you come find out, lovely?" Despite her flirtatious tone, the blonde officer was more than capable of smashing in a pretty face. A pity, really, that she didn't have the ability to corrupt, yet, since it invariably meant she tried to kill them.
But then, the senshi had started this, really, so she only had herself to blame.
"My friend and I, well, we're not the type to leave a job unfinished. That's just unprofessional. I'm sure you can understand." Her wide, lopsided grin grew.
