The mare strolled along the path slowly, her ears flicking back for a minute. This was the way that Dark Tide told her to go...already she was seeing some of the familiar signs he wanted her to watch out for. Her nostrils flared taking in different scents. She picked out Dark Tide's quite easily, but the others were alien to her. Kainda took a breath continuing on her way. Tide claimed that he would see her for he would be patrolling that night. Hopefully he would keep true to his word and it wouldn't be someone else..Getting into a fight on the first day wouldn't exactly be a good start at meeting his herd.
But it would show that she was a force to be reckoned with. The mare took another breath ushering herself forward as her red eyes scanned the area. She risked giving out a gentle whicker of a call. Maybe he would hear her...or maybe he already knew she was coming. Her male was so smart. He was probably already watching her right now.

Tide was pacing on the outskirts of the great tree. Ion and Hellfyre watched him passively a little ways away. He stopped suddenly and brought his head up, Kainda, he could smell her on the wind. A soft whicker was carried on the breeze to him. His Kainda had come at last. He grinned at his brothers, they had no idea what they were in for. Hellfyre made a face at him and Ion raised a black eyebrow.
Tide wheeled and loped away from the tree, toward the sound of his mate. He saw Kainda on the path and loped up to her. he touched his nose to hers in greeting. His brothers had followed him at a distance and their mouths dropped open at the sight of their brother with such a unique looking mare. A unique and dangerous looking mare. Was that a horn?
"Kainda I am so glad you are here, come meet my older and younger brothers." Tide invited. "This is Ion and this is Hellfyre. Brothers this is Kainda, my mate, my world, and not to be trifled with Hellfyre," Tide glared at his younger brother. "Kainda my heart, would you like to see the tree?"
"Tide? Why have you not told us of this lovely mare before?" "Some things cannot be said with words." "Yes but not even to mention her." "Not like you two would have listened anyway, what with your marriage and your fling. Both resulting in foals" he added as an aside to Kainda. "So there was very little time for Tide and his love life."

Kainda took a breath seeing Tide with two other stallions. No doubt they were his brothers for they all seemed to share family traits. She stared at them for a moment as if to try and guess who was the older brother out of the two. As Tide came closer to greet her, she brushed her guessing aside quick to greet her mate. She nudged his nose with hers, nostrils flaring to catch his unique scent. She nodded with a small whicker trotting at his side to meet the two he called brothers.
As she was introduced, she made sure to remember that Ion was the older and Hellfyre was the younger. It became clearer in appearance as well for it seemed as though a mate with foal on the way had aged the Older, yet made the Younger seem more alive with excitement. She wondered how Dark Tide would become. The mare gave a steady gaze nodding to the both of them with a firm belief in her abilities. She even tilted her head some to give them a better gaze at her horn. Sure, there was some notches and nicks in it from where she sparred, but it was as sturdy as herself. And though it made her an oddity among others, she considered it a way to mark herself from the rest of those she deemed unworthy.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Dark Ion and Dark Hellfyre. Dark Tide has spoken so much about the both of you." When greeted and expressed that they had never heard of her, Kainda felt a pang of hurt and jealousy. She honestly believed that Dark Tide would speak of her to any that would listen, and why shouldn't she? The mare was quite a prize for any stallion worth his weight in gold, and yet they were quite surprised by the lovely creature that was their brother's mate. She turned to him to question but soon found her answer. But of course! They would be busy with their lives and not even think to wonder what of Dark Tide and his. Her poor mate never got much attention from anyone except her it seemed. Kainda now realized how important family was to Tide. She made a vow to herself to never let their foals feel ignored or to ignore each other no matter what happens.
At his invitation to the tree, she gave a gentle nudge to his neck. "Sure, my heart. Will you boys be coming along?" Kainda turned her head to the other two males, an expression of sureness on her face. She would definitely make an attempt to make them jealous of their brother's success in both mate and definitely in family. This would be an enjoyment for her.

Ion and Hellfyre bowed in turn to the lovely lady. "Our pleasure." said Ion. As Tide turned to lead his mate toward the tree, the two brothers chimed in answer to Kainda's query. "We are coming." "Of course you are," Tide muttered. "Ah here is the tree, it marks the heart of our herd here, in that crook there all our blankets from when we were foals were kept and as you can see," he daintily stepped along little blanketed bodies. They varied in color from light to dark and one snored raucously. "It is a place for the children as well." He looked at Ion and pointed with his nose at the snoring one. "Don't look at me that is one of Prism's babies." "Is not, its one of yours and you know it." "Is not" Tide rolled his eyes. "Would you like to learn their names? Best to do it now before they can move and confuse themselves."

[You finally got Eric!! I'se happy for you <3]
Kainda came forward slowly as she noticed the blankets and bundles around the tree. As Tide walked among them, the mare couldn't help but walk around them watching them with curious and yet guarded eyes. She wondered if their foals would be brought to this tree...It seemed like a right of passage for those born of Tide's herd and family. Yet Kainda was uncertain whether or not she would agree to this sort of..ritual for lack of a better term.
The mare couldn't help but idolize the mothers. The foals were in fact gorgeous as they napped and hid under their colorful blankets. At the question, the mare hesitated before giving a small nod. "Sure...I suppose if I cam to care for them one day as well as our own, I might as well get used to this...mother thing." Unfortunately for Kainda, she would probably be lost at this 'mother thing' that she now officially coined for caring for foals. As a savage nomad, her parents never really cared for her nor cared to know her name save for when they gave it to her. Most of the time it was 'girl-child' or 'small one' from her mother and father. Even after all that, Kainda never resented them. The mare often wondered why.
In her mind's wandering, her eyes were drawn to one of the foals in the far corner. Her blanket appeared white with multi-colored markings unlike her siblings which all had black blankets. Kainda carefully made her way over to sniff at the foal careful as not to startle the babe. "What is her name?" Kainda raised her head to look at all three brothers. It was as if also asking 'Who is the father?' in a small way. She dare not rule Tide out of the equation for anything could have happened before he pledged himself to her though it would be hard to hide her anger and hurt if that were the case. She wondered if she could mother such a foal that was not birthed from her own body.

Prism came down from a tree branch above. He had been ease dropping. He landed gracefully beside his children. He eyed the new female. She certainly was interesting looking. "Her name is Crystal." He nosed his odd colored daughter. "I'm sure she will be a very beautiful mare when she grows." He grinned at Hellfyre giving him a playful wink. He shifted his wings then trotted over to Hellfyre. "Soooooooooooo where is fattie at? Haven't seen her in what seems like forever."

'You will be a great mother Kainda. I can see it in your heart." Tide nuzzled his beautiful mate.
When Tide looked up he saw Prism coming toward them. 'Oh no." he said. Tide couldn't hide the viscious snarl that deface his mouth. Prism was to not get within 7 feet of his mate. Or Tide would eat him. A deep growl resonated in his chest.
"Crystal Darkheart is Prism and Helffyre's daughter." Tide informed Kainda. "Ion also has a slew of foals." Ion puffed up at Tide's words. "However Ion had four boys and Hellfyre had four girls."
Ion looked like he was gonna explode... all over Prism. "My mate's location is none of your buisness you.. you PIGEON!'
Hellfyre glared at his brother. "Honestly you are so rude."
"Do you see me calling you FAT?"
"No..."

Kainda wasn't expecting the other male to come prancing here like he owned the place. Neither did she expect her mate to be so protective of her. The one called Prism obviously caused some problems and continued to do so. The mare made a mental note to herself to make heads or tails of this stallion sooner or later, her red eyes watching him as they moved.
She looked down at the pretty foal with a bit of a smile. "The name fits her. I'm sure she'll be a gem when she grows older." Kainda stared over at the blankets for a moment before putting her attention back to Dark Tide. "We'll both make good parents." She smiled to him. More to make herself feel better than anything else. Kainda had to admit to herself that she would make a good mother. It would just take time. Her head tilted as she was told the foal count. The mare was at a bit of a loss. She knew that Tide wanted girls, but Kainda was set on giving him a son. She hoped that they would be blessed with a mixture to please both sides of the family, and to prove Tide's superiority in foaling.
Kainda flicked her head to move her mane from her face as she watched the mild argument commence. It was obvious that the eldest brother's mate was still in hiding due to her pregnancy. And with Prism making his comments, Kainda had to feel a bit sympathetic. She seemed to give a glance at Prism as if daring him to make the same accusations to her when she had a swollen belly. Ion's mate did not have a horn. Tide's however did, and she practiced with it almost every day. "I see there is a bit of history..." She whispered to Tide keeping close to him for now. "Shame. For some reason I don't think it is wise for the foals to hear or witness their elders arguing so...unnecessarily...." The last bit was said a little louder for all to hear. Even she was raised with some etiquette as barbarian as her upbringing was...
