Apparently it's perfectly fine for guys to talk about their.... As Mal and that one crazy woman said, "push their own plow". This ain't exactly something I've witnessed, nor is it something I particularly care about, but I'm told by certain drunk people that it's fiiiine to talk about. Now excuse me while I hide these bodies.
And on the other hand, women supposedly treat it as this social taboo or something. I'm curious as to the validity of this, as I don't trust dead drunk people.

Shiori Miko Why don't girls talk about it? They do, you just gotta know where to look. wink So we'll have to search for the proper situation when you may be discussing it? It's much easier to just bring up a discussion on masturbation among guys at pretty much any time.

I don't know why so many women seem to be afraid to talk about it. It probably has something to do with how much the sex education in this country fails when it comes to the subject. If a girl can graduate from high school without even knowing she HAS a clitoris, ur doin it wrong.

Foam-Dome I dunno, I've never witnessed any women talking about it. But I've never witnessed any men talking about it either, so... XD 'Twas my point of view. It's something I'd rather not hear about from a guy. It's a little weird. But apparently a lot of guys don't share my sentiment. And a lot of women do.

Ok someone who's actually big into feminism would be better to answer this but I'll attempt.
Women aren't "allowed" to do as they please with their sex life. Men can have sex as much as they want with whoever they want while women are shamed for it. Whore, slut, and so on. All words used for women who have sex outside a monogamous relationship. Yeah this isn't 100% true in every situation but you get the general idea of what I'm trying to say.
I don't tell people I'm vegetarian or atheist often because I don't feel like defending myself all the time. The same goes for my sex life so I only really talk about in situation where I know I won't be judged.

Now that I have more time to discuss this...
Masturbation normally isn't something that one discusses with the opposite sex or the same sex unless one is really comfortable with their company. It's a rather private thing to most people.
For me, I hang out with a lot of men and close to none of them have ever discussed methods of jerking off while I was in their company.
That being said, I am completely fine about talking about it with certain groups of my friends, whether they be all female or mixed. But that's only because I've known them for awhile and we're really comfortable discussing pretty much anything.

^^^^^ Thiiiiiiiis
We're not "supposed to" like sex because of some puritanical bullshit about how women should be pure and virginal and *Pukes* There's nothing wrong with enjoying sex/masturbation (And there's also nothing wrong with not enjoying it =P)
