Hara Berezaiti- Page of Chronos Name: Holiday Jones Nicknames: (if any) "Holi"/ "Ice Queen" Age: 19 Birthday: December 25 Sign: Capricorn Blood Type: AB Fav. Food: Chocolate. Then again... chocolate. Possibly chocolate. Hated Food: FRUIT CAKE. Born on Christmas, Holi resents the holiday at large, and like most people, isn't fond of this heavy, 'fruity' brick. School: Sovereign Heights H.I.T.S. Hobbies: - Candy Making: With her deep passion for a really good chocolate (and she'll inform you quite haughtily that HERSHEY'S is absolutely not really good chocolate... ((Although she does admit it makes terribly cute accessories.)) it only made sense for Holi to invest time and energy into trying to make it herself. Not only does it mean fewer trips, but she can customize pieces and flavors to suit her whim, without wondering 'are there any left in stock'? To the potential detriment of her friends waistlines, she also likes to share. Just don't ask her for Christmas themed candy, that's a pet peeve, otherwise she'll happily take requests, though if she gets too tight on money, expect to be asked to pay for the supplies. She'll be sure to provide a receipt to prove she's not cheating you. -Reading Manga: She likes to insist she's somewhat exclusive, no she hasn't read Fruits Basket, but she guiltily admits to Prince of Tennis and Ouran Host Club, but her true 'dark secret' is the stash of Yaoi and Yuri comics in her closet. She's even bought the books for the web comic ' Teahouse'... and the cell phone charm. The one with the unicorn... and Mercutio... and no she won't let you have a closer look. Wannabe seamstress: One thing Holi wishes she could do without making the experience into a slightly useless blood donation, is sew. She's seen some of the incredible modifications one of Destiny Cities more... gothic... residents (Ume McDougall) has created, though she's a little too proud to actually approach her to...oh... ask for help... but she tries. Holi has probably done more horrible things to used clothing than a shredding machine. ((Ume ref oked by Ende)) Gemstone: Garnet Virtues: Sharing is Caring- Although she hates to admit to ever needing help, Holi loves to use her skills in the service of others, especially if it happens to include candy making, her favorite hobby. Got a friend who's down? Sounds like a perfect excuse for her to whip up a batch of super cute little chocolate mice with marzipan centers, or decadent sea-salt caramel... or maybe fudge... or all of the above! Chocolate makes everything better, right? Assertive Holi may look like a delicate porcelain flower, but one of the traits she also shares with porcelain is that while brittle in some regards, she's also quite strong. She's prepared to be the one who stands up and says what everyone is thinking when they're too nervous to say it, and she's equally prepared to deal with the consequences. When it comes to physical hand to hand, she'll need her share of backup, but socially she can dig in her heels with the best of them. Motherly An branch off of her assertiveness, or maybe it's the other way around, Holi doesn't like to see what she considers to be 'good' people unhappy, and she'll try and make it better if she can. She'll be the listening ear, the sage advice if possible, and the provider of mood-food, and the voice of the 'oppressed'. Flaws: - Proud: If she can possibly avoid it, Holi won't ask for help, and just confronting the idea that she might need to can be akin to realizing she needs to have a tooth pulled... without painkillers. Her ice queen nickname isn't for nothing, and admitting publicly that she's just not capable of something she really thought she could do can reduce her cold facade to angry tears, much to her humiliation. Her reluctance to ask also makes her particularly bristly, making it harder for many to sympathize with her frustration. - Clap if you don't believe in Fairies: Maybe it's just that she spent so much time being inundated in people insisting that she of all people should be the embodiment of the Christmas Spirit, but Holi is a cynic. She's the first to look for wires in a magicians trick, and she scoffs at people who do believe in such things, usually quite openly. Her world view has been badly shaken by her time in the Surrounding, and she's struggling hard to come to terms with the idea that magic, well... some magic exists, at least in so far as her inability to explain what she's seen with any kind of technology. She grudgingly accepts it's existence among the powered residents of Destiny City, but don't expect her to go trying to photograph fairies with you. That's STILL stupid. Keep your Fandom over THERE: Christmas nuts are annoying enough, but Potter-fanatics... and *shudder* TWILIGHT fans, squealing over glitter covered stalkers... Holi can't -stand- super rabid fans. It's one thing to enjoy your favorite series, but if you're so obsessed that you can quote the number of nose hairs the guy who played your favorite character displayed in his close up... you're way... way... too obsessed and you need to move away. Preferably quickly... because she's looking for the hose. Oh and she might have the number for the local psychiatric ward somewhere... here she'll write it down for you. She's equally impatient with people who insist that they're "otakin" to certain characters, or that they have magical invisible body parts like wings and tails to contend with, and it's probably wiser not to bring these phantom body parts up unless you'd like her to ask, with caustic sarcasm, for you to demonstrate your powers of flight. ------------------------------------------------------ The Look Eyes: Dark Brown, virtually black. Hair: White, with a faint blue tint like ice, waist length and straight. Style varies per the circumstance but is usually worn brushed back over her shoulders and out of the way. Face: No scars but a delicate, deceptively porcelain like face in shape and color Clothes: Uniform, but especially in cooler weather she loves to wear tight jeans with tall purple Doc Martins, a black turtleneck and a hoodie vest trimmed with faux-coyote fur

KNIGHT: Hara Berezaiti- Page of Chronos - Link- See here for myths and legends regarding this mountain, which was supposedly one half of a bridge to heaven, among other impressive points on the resume. - Wonder: In one of the closed outposts, this Wonder is unwelcoming and cold looking, rocky and snowy, as though the tip of a strange mountain had burst through, though it's clear after some investigation that it's not earth bellow, if there's anything at all... Half hidden in the rocks is a painted door flanked by two eternally burning torches. Inside the door is a surprisingly warm and comforting space that seems, even now to welcome visitors, and encourage them to take a load off, and share their thoughts. The place was once a neutral ground and place of diplomacy, and somewhat famous for sweets... ((thanks Roma for the ideas)) --People cannot actually climb 'down' the mountain.-- Challenge: You can't escape the eyes on the watchtower! Uniform: ((See art)) Weaponry: ((Since Holi tends to be somewhat proactive, going with an active and direct version of 'protection' and discouragement seemed to make sense for her.)) Page: -A pink and glittering scarf. Maybe she can wrap it up into a rat tail and snap it at you? Not particularly threatening. Squire: - The scarf has more delicate patterns woven into it, and more to the chagrin of enemies, also has small weights in each end. Rather than being used as a bola, it's used as a close range weapon, intended to go hand in hand with a dance like style of attack. Although the weights aren't heavy enough to break bones (Unless the victim for some reason suffers from some significant osteoporosis), the bruises it will leave won't be terribly pleasant. Worst comes to worst, you might get a nice chipped tooth. - Magic: Hara Barizaiti is a pure ground, free from the influences of chaos... and mostly this is true because of the surrounding, though Hara-Squire's scarf seems to be designed with the chaos equivalent of 'mace' in mind. The weights can help this scarf temporarily tangle an limb, and the magic, which only affects people and creatures tainted with Chaos, creates a short sensation of burning cold and pain. The sensation only lasts 15 seconds max, less if the scarf is disengaged sooner, and does no physical harm (only the weights do.) but is largely intended to be discouraging... sort of like a quick spray of mace. Knight: The long and graceful scarf is now tipped with very small hooks and barbs. Again in keeping with knight weapons in general, the hooks aren't here to be lethal, (though arguably someone might wish they were if hit in the right location.), but are more there to work hand in hand with the magic of the weapon. If you're unlucky you might walk away with a new piercing, if you, in gaming terms "critically botched" ((victim's choice for players)), you could POTENTIALLY get a scratched cornea or loose an eye, but the odds on the last are something like winning the lottery. A very unpleasant lottery. - Magic: The true purpose of the barbs is to hook them to flesh or cloth and make them difficult to remove, since this upgrade of the attack is something akin to a "Chaos Tazer". Again, the untainted only have to contend with barbs in case of friendly fire, but the slightest trace of a chaos taint rewards the wrapped victim with an upgraded version of the Squire magic, burning through with an highly unpleasant blast of burning cold and pain. The actual blast lasts only about 30 seconds (less if the scarf is yanked free or otherwise removed) but this time the effects linger, and may leave the subject feeling hurt and twitchy, as though they'd taken actual damage, though really it's all psychological, and will fade with time. The scratches and punctures will also heal with time, or a little attention.

The way you have your weapon progression described right now, they can do significant physical damage AND can be used to channel a significant magical effect -- the squire weapon alone can bruise AND entangle limbs AND give a shock to corrupted beings. Sorry, but this is really overpowered for a Knight concept! You need to really tone down on the offensive power for this concept to be workable: a Knight weapon should not serve primarily as a directly offensive tool in a fight.
In addition, I'm not seeing the connection between the weapon's abilities and the power themes for Chronos Knights: the power themes are Growth, Change and Protection. Your Knight's magic should involve at least one of these ideas.
Please give the weapon progression another look and another try. If you want any assistance coming up with a concept, please let me know! c:

Protection is defined by more than just the plexiglass shield or the velvet rope that keeps people back at a museum. Historically, it's been demonstrated that we almost instinctively consider protection to be a combination of offensive and defensive forces. Much the way the Zodiac Guard protect earth and everything inside their realm of protection by military force, we have culturally adopted 'protection' as being not only a blocking but a discouraging, and sometimes dangerous force. Guard dogs 'protect' a junk yard. People are 'protected' from Vampires by crosses and other holy objects, which not only repel, but cause physical damage. Castles are protected not just by walls but by things like the portcullis and by hot oil and archers, clearly designed to be lethal, and any 'holy grounds' were considered to not just repel, but to damage intruding forces. This sort of 'offensive protection' is the inspiration behind Hara's 'tazer', which causes only psychological harm at all levels. No physical harm is involved, it's- purely a painful discouragement-.
First level: Scarf. Obviously. It does... what scarves do. Plus it's fashionable. Woo. Second Level: TINY weights, literally no bigger than say, a single Dippin'Dot or a BB, are attatched inside the fabric of each end of the scarf. The purpose of these weights is -not- to add physical damage, though light bruising may be incidental, as say, being hit by Camelot's shield would be, but to add extra swing to the scarf, and make it wrap more smoothly when flicked. There are no weights anywhere but the far ends of the scarf. The magical effect the scarf now produces is a short, painful burst similar to an electric shock to the struck area of the body (and only the struck area), but without the intensive physical dangers of real electricity. No heart palpitations or even hair standing on end, this 'shock' is merely meant to cause psychological pain to those who have been tainted by chaos, causing disruption to muscle control, but nothing else. The shock lasts for approximately 10 seconds and can be used 2 times per day, but not in the same battle, baring major battles ((Like the meta.)) Third Level: The 'BB's' are replaced by nearly microscopic hooks, barely large enough to break skin (think papercut)The purpose of the hooks again, is not for the physical damage, but to add cling factor and make the scarf more difficult to simply bat away. Instead they're intended to either hook back to the scarf itself, or to fabric, or edges in the enemy's attire, allowing the shock to be transmitted. At this level the shock lasts approximately 15 to max of 20 seconds, ((latter being more exhausting obviously)) and can be used 2 times per day.

Using that logic a Chronos Knight should be capable of any spell, since you can make an argument out of any magical ability somehow being used to protect. I'm sorry, but that will not work -- your spell needs to evoke the idea of one of the power themes in the same way that a senshi attack needs to evoke the idea of their power sphere. Having a spell that directly causes pain or discomfort evokes the idea of pain, not protection.
I am not saying that you must generate a shield -- you can create an area of effect that causes pain for enemies to cross, or put a protective buff on an ally that shocks an enemy when they touch them -- but being able to directly cause pain is not going to work.

Ryu, if it helps think of her as writing a ‘good’ Nega, she has her royalty to follow and everything. No Captain weapon could do that many things, maybe if she went Templar you could have a few effects from one weapon but not yet.
Maybe try instead
Page: If she wraps the scarf around a target (physically) then the resulting effect is the impression of carrying a great weight; the result is slowed speed from the opponent. To remove this effect they must remove the scarf though it being the source of the ‘heavy’ feeling is in itself seemingly hard to lift.
Knight – Continuing the theme of slowing the opponent the scarf is something more like a curtain of heavy material allowing her to swing it at her opponents rather than having to manually wrap them up in it. Once bound the scarf creates the feeling that it is hooked into clothes and stuck to skin like Velcro or glue. While not impossible to remove it’s difficult and creates an abrasive/painful sensation that discourages its removal. From there It is simply the physical size of the object that hinders movement. Likely targets are torso’ – arms, legs – to prevent walking, or head to ‘blind’ the opponent.
To prevent either of these attacks would require only a good dodge.
Maybe?

Actually, no where in Chronos knights is the power theme 'protection' present. The Space Cauldron Chronos -- Growth, change, adaptation. I also double checked in the zodiac guild, and still, I could not find where 'protection' was a power theme for knights. So while the attack still might not 'evoke' the power themes, but an offensive, or pain causing attack is not utterly to be rejected. Aside from the fact that Chronos knights need to be able to attack in order to protect the surrounding, growth, change and adaptation can be applied to animals or plants that change an adapt to the environment as the grow. While plants and animals are not related to Chronos, they can be applied to those power themes. And when you apply this to powers, a seemingly useless scarf changing and adapting to the situation to cause pain or damage is not utterly a huge stretch, especially when you consider what a knight is. The knight of Chronos, aside from having to keep the surrounding safe, also had to KILL Chaos monsters. So again, its not far off to say that while the LAST generation might have been defensive, after they were killed, the power changed and adapted to become offensive. While the attack might not 'evoke' something directly, it can be related and evoke it by association. In B4 everything just gets bigger. That only applies to egos in moonshop.

The Chronos Knight theme is supposed to include protection. During the exchange involving the Chronos Knights power theme Mel originally submitted growth, change, protection and adaptation -- we requested her to take off the fourth word because there's a three-word limit for power themes and adaptation is fairly redundant when put up next to growth/change. In addition to this, several Chronos Knights play on the protection theme for their attack concepts.
Adaptation being on the list was probably a mistake in copy pasting or editing, and for that I apologize for any confusion that may have caused. I have since fixed it though, so thank you for pointing it out.
As far as Knight themes changing over time / in response to certain situations, unfortunately that does not happen! Planet themes are as fixed as senshi power spheres are, since Knights ultimately draw power from the same source as the planet's senshi does (albeit in a different way).

The issue isn't causing pain, not in the slightest. The issue is a purely offensive attack in the form of a swinging a weighted weapon, that eventually hooks into flesh and cloth, and then lances pain through a weapon. The pain is not incidental to the attack, nor is it a buff or debuff.
None of that relates to growth, change, protection or adaptation.
NOR does it relate to a wonder that was a "neutral ground and place of diplomacy".
This weapon requires her to specifically hunt down an enemy to cause them damage and pain, which is not in theme with Knights. People can complain about that not being within the realm of the Knight faction all they want, but they're also free to quest for any sort of Senshi or Negaverse Agent, if what they really want to do is hurt people. That's not the point or goal of the faction.
Knights are based in tradition. That's where their power comes from. Their themes will not be adapting to the new generation, neither will their uniforms, or their weapons.
There is no reason why defensive attacks cannot cause pain. You do not need to hunt down and injure others to provide a good defense. There is no reason her attack can't cause pain, we're just concerned with the manner in which she causes it.
Negaverse agents cause pain directly, by using a weapon.
Knights cause pain indirectly, by using magic channeled through their weapon, hence creating a barrier that causes pain, making enemies more susceptible to pain, or making their allies more capable of causing pain. It's a misconception that you have to have offensive, badass magic to win a fight. Knights are more than capable, when you cross their defenses, of kicking your a** with their body, since that's where their primary offensive capacities lie, not in their weapon.
Think of the weapon as a weirdly shaped wand.
A senshi is a senshi, a knight is a knight, a nega is a nega, and that's just what it is.
