At the corner of town square and beside the fountain, the Sonata City Police Department sits proudly. It's pretty small compared to what people from any major city would be used to, with only one cell and a few officers to keep the town in order. The first thing one would see upon entering the department is one large room with a pair of metal desks for the pair of officers to use for paperwork and things of that like. Just behind that, in clear view of anyone inside the station, is the sole cell, large enough to fit maybe three people comfortably before becoming too cramped. Of course, why would they need anything more with a population as small as this? Any major criminals would only be stuck in there for a week or so before being shipped off to a more secure prison. To the left from there is an office for the sheriff to use while s/he is working from the station instead of the government offices. Beyond that door is another room, sometimes used as an interrogation room, other times for just the coffee maker kept in there for any hardworking officer's convenience. On-Duty
xxxSheriff: Romane Murrow

Amatsu stumbled into the police station where she worked. She yawned lightly before wincing. She still hadn't got her sleeping schedule fixed despite being here for several days now. Also that bottle of Sake she had last night probably wasn't helping either. She carefully traveled to her desk and opened the top drawer. Fishing around in the rather disorganized mess she finally found what she was looking for: a bottle of aspirin. popping the top off Amatsu shook two pills out into her palm before crushing them a little bit and swallowing them dry. After placing the cap back on, throwing the bottle back in drawer, and closing said drawer she headed into the interrogation/coffee room. Pouring herself a cup of coffee she then returned to her desk.
After a few sips she looked around, only then realizing that she had not been alone. There was Claude, her co-worker, also apparently enjoying a cup of coffee. If he had said anything before Amatsu got her coffee she didn't hear him. " Mornin'. " She said, her Japanese accent rather thick today. It'd go away in a few hours when she was more awake and feeling better, but for now it was very obvious.

The sheriff of Sonata Town was not in a good mood as she entered her station that morning. It should be obvious to anyone who had went to the Tomato Festival the other day as to why a dark cloud seemed to follow the redhead everywhere she went, but, as she had recalled, only Claude had shown up to that event. Claude had also gotten out just before she had, so it was uncertain whether or not he remembered the moment in which a tomato had collided with her beautifully pressed and cleaned uniform. Romane had had to come in wearing her spare and she was never a happy woman when she had to do that. She was certain Neil was hiding somewhere as a result and Mimi had seemed a little more distracted than usual too, probably intentionally, while Julian.. Romane could never tell. But their states of mind didn't concern her at the moment. What did was the state of the town she was designated to protect, as well as her officers. Officers that were both relaxing with a cup of coffee as she let the door fall shut behind her, stopping a few paces after it to eye Amatsu and Claude.
Both weren't really her favorite, which was quite a feat considering they were the only two working for her. “Scott. Otome.” She snapped as she finished her path into the building, back straight and eyes keen on the pair. “I demand your immediate attention.” Attention that couldn't get immediate enough if the way she was already frowning had anything to say.

Claude was just about to savor the last sip of coffee in the silence that fell upon the station. It was quite peaceful after the annoyance of it all had passed. But, it was interrupted by Amatsu entered the door. Not that it was really a bad interruption, but it was one nonetheless so it should be acknowledged. He first felt like standing up and greeting her but she seemed a little too tired to be bothered. He finished his cup and placed his feet on the ground after she had said something. "Good morning." It was a simple response, but she should be happy that he responded at all when it was so early. He was trying to think of some way to make conversation with no ideas other than some remark about her chest. So, he was glad when Romane came in. She was just bitter and sexy enough to make him smile. He wanted to laugh at the way she called their names, but the look on her face meant that it wasn't time for that. He knew that in this little crap town-island-thing that there was nothing important enough for immediate anything, especially attention at this hour. But, that frown had got to his soft side and he stood up to stretch and throw his cup into the little trash can beside his desk. "Officer Scott requesting orders, ma'am." He wanted to salute, but his arm just didn't feel like it. She'd have to just get enough from the smirk on his face.

First thing was first, Romane looked to Amatsu, who had taken her sweet time standing at attention for her boss. Probably the reason why she didn't like her. ..Or it could be the eyes. Romane had trouble trusting red eyes. “Otome. I do not care for the coffee we currently have within our place of work. You will leave and return with a better brand that I will enjoy or I will have your badge.” She ordered, pausing to stare down the woman until she left to do just that. Later, Romane knew, she wouldn't enjoy the brand Amatsu brought back and dismiss her from her position. Like she had the last NPC officer. Indeed, it was known to anyone who had worked long for Romane that her request for a 'better brand of coffee' was essentially her opening to fire an officer that had irritated her – a habit she had started ever since Rachel had died. Coffee never calmed Romane down like it once had and, no matter what brand one would get, it would still fail the woman in accomplishing that task. ..Now, if, someday, someone would figure out spiking her coffee with psychiatric medication to help her paranoia was what would save their job, she may end this little ritual. Buuut, that wasn't likely.
In any case, she looked at Claude now that they were alone and frowned at his smirk. Not proper, but she had already dismissed one officer and she would get lonely if she got rid of the next. So, until she found someone who could replace Claude, Romane would have to deal with it. “Scott. I request a suggestion as to what we are to do with that.” She indicated 'that' with a look to it. Dr. Fuzzy-something-or-whatever had been dropped off at the station, tied up with a note pinned to the rope describing the 'crimes' the rabbit had committed. Romane had untied the animal and attempted to shoo it away before going back to her office when it first arrived, but the creature had chosen to stay inside the nicely heated building over suffering the cold air outside. Romane disregarded it at first, but it had been a few weeks since it had plagued their department and she could no longer stand it. Dr. Fuzzy had to be taken care of.
[ /Amatsu removed && RP Ended; Dr. Fuzzy was sent to Mr. Waldroup's home to be fostered until his owner appeared! ]
