User ImageName: Kestrel Button

Age: 18

Birthday: October 30th

Sign: Scorpio

Gemstone: Topaz

Blood Type: B-

Fav. Food: Home made mash potato - nice and creamy with cheese!

Hated Food: Shop bought mash potato!

School: Horizon Institute For Technology and Science

Hobbies:
Falconry -- It was a bit of a running joke for a while that Kestrel flew kestrels and she did it just to prove that she didn't care that she was named after a bird. However she learnt to love it, to see those birds fly in all their glory. She absolutely loved it. She wishes that one day she will be able to fly with them and if all works well that's what she will get to do.

Flying -- It started after finding an admiration for the birds flight. She was lucky enough that her parents allowed her to go gliding and then more recently she has been paragliding, she plans to get her own flexi wing microlight one day so she can fly with geese - she thinks this was be way too cool!

Modeling -- Not so much her hobby but she likes to tell people she is a model on occasions, in honest truth the birds she flies are the main models, she just has to be in a lot of the photos because she fly's them but no one else needs to know that!

Virtues:

Resilient -- Knock her down and she will get back up again, she isn't one to let what someone says or do get her down, she will get back up and take what is thrown at her. She will also help others try and be the same. What other people say about you doesn't matter.

Supportive -- To those who need it. She won't support those she thinks are fake or bully's but anyone who really needs her she will try and help them. She isn't great at helping with homework but if someone needs to rock to hold them up then Kes is generally there for them.

Ambitious -- Kes will work hard for what she wants. She doesn't want to be stuck in an office and she sure as hell doesn't want to work in a shop so she will go and find something else to do. She will work her a** off till she can fly with the birds, if she has to go and help make some other sort of plane for her specific needs then that will be what she aims to do. If she wants to do something she will work for it.

Flaws:

Opinionated Kes has strong views and she doesn't back down if she is sure you are in the wrong and she is in the right. She also won't let you tell her that she is wrong - in fact she isn't wrong. Your a b***h, she isn't and that is that. Her opinions tend to be strong and sometimes can be found insulting - she doesn't care.

A Fighter -- Being resilient against what it is people say is not always a good thing. Sometimes you can push her a little too much and so she won't back down. Push the wrong buttons and then you will be asking for a fight and she will give you one even if it is just the pulling hair and scratching kind, she will give you the fight you are asking for.

Grudge Holding -- Just a bit. Once Kes hates you, she hates you and there is very little if anything you can do to ever change her opinion of you. So basically don't make fun of her name and don't upset her friends and you are safe, get on the wrong side and she will hate you for the rest of your lives.

Physical Look

Eyes: Brown in colour

Hair: Ginger hair - curly mess and short!

Face: pale skin with freckles!

Clothes: Jeans, falconry glove, white vest top with hand prints over her boobies

Senshi: Sailor Thule, Dark Mirror Senshi of Rust

Challenge: Your getting rusty...

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack: Thule's Rust!
This attack is aimed at a joint in the body. The joint is generally the elbow or knee. She has to concentrate on the joint she wishes to rust which will be specified during the RP. This then causes the joint to 'rust' and so would cause the joint to hurt and be harder to move.

For example, if she aims at the elbow then your arm would start aching and would really hurt to move. It's hard to avoid the attack as there is nothing leaving her and hitting you, it happens as she concentrates on the part of the body to hit. If however she can't see you when she gives the attack it is likely to miss.

Duration: Lasts for 1 minute

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Rust's Pain
The upgrade of the first attack, now allows the attack on two joints not just one.

Duration: Lasts for 1 minute

Eternal Sailor Attack: Rust Glue

Starting from the feet rust slowly creeps up the body slowing the opponent down. It starts to cover the whole body causing them to be something of a statue however once the opponent is fully covered the rust softens and can be broken. This does mean that if it ever comes to the point where an opponent is fully covered in rust - they can start to break out! The opponent can move with the rust, however it would be very slow. Just imagine you turn robot like because you have the rust restricting your movement. It's an attack that probably wouldn't hurt much if you stayed still but it would tire you out if you tried to move or probably hurt if you tried to remove the rust. So you can move just real slow and how slow depends on the opponents power level. An eternal/general level would be able to move more then a lieutenant/sailor level.

It takes one-two minutes to cover an opponent depending on their power strength, eternals/generals stages would be covered slower because they have the strength more to work through it. This is only if her concentration isn't broken - if it is broken then the opponent will only be partly covered in rust and would possibly be able to get out of it quicker. For example if she said the powers name and concentrated but got distracted after 10 seconds, only their feet would be covered and so on. It means this tends to be a power used when in a group where she can be protected while she concentrates on the opponent.

The rust on the body will vanish about 2 minutes after Thule has left the scene/powered down/fainted/died (worse case scenario!), this is because her power source will be broken and so the rust will basically fall off.

Can the senshi get out of it? There are ways. For example if you are covered in rust and Thule comes along and punches you, not only will she hurt you but it will also break the rust off (like when rust becomes all soft and flakes). They would have to basically beat themselves up to get out of it, or rub against something rough like a brick building but with how slowly they move it's an option most probably won't take.

This attack can only be used once during battle because of the power it needs, she can though if need be still use her older attacks if the need presents it's self.

Random post for power ideas -

Cause things to rust quicker - break anything metal near by

Cause body joints to 'rust' become harder to use.

Congrats on your cute dmc!

I was toying with a quest for Rust myself for a bit, so you're more then welcome to the ideas I had! (Be a shame to waste. But you totally don't need to use it, it's pretty similar to what you have anyways)

Anyways, what I had was this:

Rusting Crust
Shoots out a sort of small sphere (it's tiny really! a half a foot) at a target (armor, knight weapons?), over the course of 15 seconds, the area that the sphere hits grows (to a foot) and becomes covered a layer of rust. The rust weakens whatever it covered, making it less durable and prone to breaking (must be used or hit to break). The higher the level of the opponent, the more resistance they have to rusting and breakage. The rust lasts for the entire battle.
*Applies to non-living materials only, particularly metals. (Weapons, random objects and to some degree clothes/armor?)
*Magic sphere is small and really easy to dodge.
*can be used twice

Rust Mantle
Same as above, however the rusting effect spreads faster and over a wider area. It can cover up to 3 feet in the rusty covering. Breaking down the rusted object is easier, as the object's durablity/usability drop significantly. If clothes or armor become rust-covered, movement can be somewhat restricted.
*Still just non-living material
*Still pretty easy to dodge
*can be used twice

And the last one i had was basically an larger area of effect attack that makes things/metal in an area breakdown weaken. You could probably combine all that into just one bit eternal and 'rust' a whole thing or person? So 1a and b would be joints, and eternal could be big things or a person?

I know you wanted crits on her attacks but I just read them over and I really like the idea of making the person "rusty" themselves rather than affecting their weapons/actual metal. heart I love what you've already got!

While the first attack is just one joint, having it last a full minute is really long. Also there are no draw backs which most, if not all, starting senshi have. What could null or shorten the attack? Can it miss? On a scale 1-10 how much pain are we talking? Are we talking a stiff joint type feeling that wears off, charlie horse, ect? How many times can her first 2 attacks be used?

the eternal attack is... IDK. Having her make the metal in a person's body rust doesn't just seem painful, it seems pretty flat out deadly since then I think it would be considered a toxin? I get its magic but for metal to 'rust' and then 'de-rust' seems a bit weird to me. It's just the way it's phrased. Saying that is feel like the metal is rusting would be better I think since then it kinda goes along the 1st 2 attacks.

One minute is a perfectly fine duration for her first two attacks since the effect isn't very severe. XD

The Eternal attack is kind of a huge offshoot from her first two, though, and also seems a bit of a far stretch for a rust sphere. I would stick to rusting from the outside! One thing you could do is make an area of effect rust over, and anyone who is in of the area of effect gets their feet (or whatever part is touching) covered in rust and momentarily stuck to the big affected surface. In any case, something that's a bit more in line with your first two attacks would be ideal.

Yay! Lucky you, you get to be my first victim official crit.

There's a few questions that come to mind with the eternal attack, and once addressed I think you'll be good to go.

First, does Thule shoot some kind of magical rust-making thing at her target to make this start, or does she have to touch a person? Can her attack be avoided in any way?

Second, how long might it take for a person to be fully covered by the rust? Can this attack be stopped before a person is fully covered? Or does it just keep growing and enveloping a person until they are completely rust covered? Personally, I think the latter would be really bad a** but an estimate about how long it takes to cover something is definitely needed! I'm also curious to know if it must be broken out of or if it will just disappear after a certain length of time.

That was really really helpful, thank you so much! I was actually really stuck so this helped loads. I have edited it a bit and would love your view on it now smile

It takes two - three minutes to cover an opponent depending on their power strength, eternals/generals stages would be covered slower because they have the strength more to work through it.

The rust on the body will vanish about 2 minutes after Thule has left the scene, this is because her power source will be broken and so the rust will basically fall off.
.

So, theoretically, someone could be rust covered anywhere from 3 minutes to indefinitely? What if Thule didn't leave the area and someone was covered in rust for half an hour or even a day? It needs to be more specific. I'd go with it just lasting a minute or two, if they don't break out sooner, or if Thule leaves/powers down (whatever happens first).

I'd still like to know how the magic starts (a magic beam, a spray, via touch) just so we know if this is can attack that can be avoided/dodged or if it's another must concentrate for it to work thing. If that is the case! I would add in a note that if something breaks her concentration before a person is fully covered, the magic would stop. It only seems logical that would be the case.

So to recap, you could either do a magic spray that continues to grow/cover a person if they are hit OR go by concentration and have it stop if someone/thing broke her concentration/attacked her.

Otherwise it looks good, and Thule sounds like she'd be an amazing asset in a fight.

Awesome, that's a good loop-hole for the power and that'll allow for really interesting plots later on (especially fun for ORPs).
