User ImageName: Jett Draven

Nickname: N/A

Age: 19

Birthday: August 12th

Sign: Leo

Gemstone: Peridot

Blood Type: O

Fav. Food: Steak, medium rare with a fair amount of steak sauce

Hated Food: Bologna

School: Destiny City University.

Hobbies:

Boxing - Jett is stressed a lot; he’s delivered a persona that is high maintenance and the easiest way for him to work out his stress is by pulverizing something. For particularly stressful days, he’ll hammer out an hours worth of a beating on the punching bag he keeps at home, but Jett is a competitive person by nature and enjoys a good match in the ring. He doesn’t like to be bested, so he’s always sure to do at least half an hour of training a day.

Stocks - An aspiring business man, Jett keeps his eye on the money. He invests his funds wisely and trusts his gut instinct—which he claims rarely lets him down. All in all, he’s made more money than he’s lost, so he can’t complain. Watching numbers rise and fall isn’t as fun as driving a speedy sports car around, but it has its quirks and Jett is determined to master the system, even if he doesn’t strike it big.

Appraising – His mother was a collector of the strange and unusual, so Jett grew up with her ramblings of anything antique. It was his mother’s passion that got him interested, and being around aged things brings him a sense of nostalgia. While his mother liked clocks, Jett has a pension for weapons—not that many really fall into his hand. Like stocks, prices can change overnight and investing time, energy and money is always a thrill. He likes to keep informed and know the value of what he’s around, so he keeps up to date with his research so that he’s as accurate and educated as possible.

Virtues:

Clever -- Crafty and quick witted, Jett will always keep you on your toes. He’s a quick thinker and, while not necessarily book smart, he knows what he needs to know and can work well under pressure. He’s got a quick tongue and a quicker mind; if you’re in an argument, you want Jett on your time. He’s got quick recall and can assess a situation quickly. It doesn’t take him long to come to a decision since he’s almost always plotting something. His attentiveness to situations and typically crafty ways mixed with his charisma drives him to manipulate both people and situations if need it suits him.

Confident -- You can’t bring Jett down. He’s confident in himself and his skills—and of the company he keeps. He knows what he can do and doesn’t really consider what he can’t do; if he tries hard enough, he’s sure that he can get anything done. He exudes an aura of confidence and never seems to doubt himself. He’s critical of his faults, but never verbalizes them; if he finds something wrong with himself, he’d never let anyone else know, would just work to fix it without drawing attention to it. Not that he thinks there’s anything wrong with himself; in his opinion, he’s practically flawless. On the downside to his belief and trust in himself and his skills, overconfidence and arrogance plague Jett, but so far, so good; he’s yet to make a complete a** of himself..

Charismatic -- He’s handsome, charming and flirty. He’s a professional at sweet talking and loves to woo the ladies—or the men. He’s relatively good at reading people and uses this to his advantage both for his own gain and to establish connections. He knows when to praise and flatter and when to hold his tongue and often uses this skill to win favors or friends. He makes a conscious effort to remember names and faces so he doesn’t insult anyone or embarrass himself. His charisma extends to everyone, though the manner in which he uses it is vital: to those he wishes to impress, he uses his skills to please and praise, but to those he wishes to mock or degrade, his charm makes it all the more painful. It is rare for him to lose his cool, so regardless of the situation, he delivers his charm in a smooth, silky, seductive manner.

Ambitious -- He is aware of his skills and will push himself to achieve all that he can—and more. He’ll do what he has to in order to get what he wants, and will never stop fighting for what he believes in. Jett is determined and knows what he wants, and has the willpower and drive to achieve whatever he sets his goals for. He never gives up, no matter how desperate the situation. Though on the surface he is loyal to those in his group, he keeps it to himself that he will step over almost anyone to get what he wants.

Flaws:

Selfish -- Jett comes first and foremost in any situation. It’s about him first, other’s later. He won’t go out of his way for anyone if he has a choice [and if he doesn’t have a choice, he’ll fight about it] unless he can find some use for them. If he can get someone in his debt, he will. No action is altruistic with Jett; he intends to get what he wants through whoever he can.

Aggressive -- Belligerence is a fault of Jett; he takes offense easily and responds first with insults and then with fists. He rarely thinks about the consequences of fights, but is usually smart enough to hold back and wait until he encounters his victim in a dark alley as opposed to confront them in broad daylight. It’s not a coward’s act, just one of self preservation. Jail isn’t exactly in Jett’s plans for the future. Conscious enough of his actions, Jett isn’t likely to maul someone for some snide insult, though it is likely he’ll head home and work out his frustrations on his punching bag; not so conscious of his words, he’s willing to belittle and degrade anyone at the flip of a dime.

Unforgiving -- Jett is a resentful being and will not easily forgive. He doesn’t believe in apologies and the only time he’s ever given one is when he’s lying to his teeth. Actions speak louder than words, and you can’t just say you’re sorry to Jett. Chances are, if you’ve pissed him off, you’re staying on his s**t list—which could very well be forever. If there’s an altercation of any sort with Jett, it’s best to explain what happened so you don’t find yourself the victim of harassment.

Bully -- This world wasn’t made for weaklings, and Jett is a firm believer that only the strong should survive—and what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger, so what’s the harm in a little friendly bullying? If Jett respects you, he leaves you alone—maybe even considers you a friend. If Jett doesn’t respect you, you’re in for a world of trouble. He has no delusions that his bullying will actually make you into a stronger person, but he doesn’t need to sugar coat it to feel good about himself. Bullying gives him a sense of power, and Jett loves power.

Senshi: Remarque

Challenge: “Looks like I’ll be pulling the strings from now on.”

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack: Captive Audience
Strings descend on the target’s major joints and affect movement; the target is unable to move more than five feet in any direction before being jerked back to their original starting point. Limbs might feel a bit heavy, however the target can move in a mostly functional manner provided they don’t get too near to the five foot radius. The strings will remain in effect for around fifteen seconds until they lose strength and snap off.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Crossbar Calamity
In the same way that the first attack consisted of strings fastening on the target, this attack does the same, however lasts for twenty seconds. The radius shrinks in size, preventing the target from moving further than four feet from where they stood when the strings attached. There would be a greater sense of discomfort and the strings would cling tighter, making movements choppier and more difficult for the target to control.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Marionette Mastery
The same as his super attack, however his attack can extend to multiple targets (no more than two) provided they are both within his line of vision when he uses the attack.

I really like the basic concept for your Sailor and Super spells! However, they need a bit of tweaking to be appropriate.

If you want TOTAL immobility for your first two attacks, then they probably shouldn't last as long! Even twenty or thirty seconds of not being able to move is long enough for someone to run up and kill your target.

A good alternative could be to not string them up completely, but restrict their movements to within a certain area by the puppet strings instead: they pull the target back like a multi-limb leash when they get too close to the edge of the radius. Another possibility is that the strings make their movements awkward and jerky like a marionette, where it's very difficult and takes large amounts of concentration to be able to move more than one limb at a time. You could even put down the first suggestion as his Sailor ability and tack on the second effect as the upgrade to his Super attack -- however, the strings causing pain to the target is also just fine as an upgrade.

As far as the ETERNAL attack goes: having a full-on summoned battle companion is not very appropriate for senshi abilities. This is because summons can change their behavior and adapt to situations, while senshi magic is supposed to have a finite and consistent set of effects. Having something that can attack OR defend OR distract depending on the current situation is a no-go.

I would suggest something that's more closely related to his first two attacks as an alternative. For example: could he get some advantage from the puppet strings attaching to himself or an ally instead of an opponent? Or maybe he could string up multiple targets, etc. :>

You are absolutely my hero, thank you so much! I definitely like your suggestions for attacks <3

I’ve changed some things, so hopefully that’ll make the attacks more appropriate but if not I’m willing to go back and revise them more c:
