The Hogwarts Entrance Hall (also known as the Front Hall) is located on the ground floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, with a wide marble staircase opposite the oak doors. Double doors to the right lead into the Great Hall.

The Hufflepuff common room, the kitchens, the dungeons, and the Grand Staircase can also be accessed via the Entrance Hall. There is also an annex off the hall where Professor McGonagall speaks to first years before the Sorting ceremony at the beginning of each school year. The Goblet of Fire was placed in the Entrance Hall during the Triwizard Tournament in 1994. There is also a balcony above the Entrance Hall and a broomstick cupboard.

Headmistress Lillian Van Nikolai

Lillian had managed to, 'work her magic' so it seemed. She had relentlessly struggled to get Rhi freed a bit early. And she did, at least, have reasons. Though Rhiannon deserved the time she got in there, she was clearly losing it in there. She was probably going to kill if she was stuck in there much longer. Not to mention that she already thought of Hogwarts as a prison, so what was the big difference? Lil only hoped that Fionna didn't feel too upset about this. Rest assured, 20 days in there was sure to have done plenty of damage on the young girl's soul. There had been a case years ago where a young boy was sent to Azkaban, and he died in less than a week. He was only supposed to be in there a week... So no doubt, it did more damage to the younger ones, to the girls like Rhi who were just so lost. If she hadn't drank that unicorn blood, no doubt she'd be dead a few times over.

Still, she needed Fionna, Lucas, Rose, and Al's help. The first 3 to witness, say what Rhi had done. Al, just because Al had seen Rhi get dragged away. And Al was the only one who had read the letter to Austin before Lil sent it off. She fiddled around her in her pocket, running her fingers across a certain pearl necklace.

Lucas was down in the entrance hall in a flash, Fionna and Al on either side. He skidded to a halt in front of Lillian, only to see Rose not far behind either. ((Rose is letting us say she went to the ministry, but we won't post a lot in the ministry without her))
"What is this about, Headmistress?" He asked, panting a bit. "What...what happened?" He caught his breath and stood up straight.

If Al had no idea what this was about, then he wouldn't either. He ruffled his hair a bit so it looked a bit less grey. He was still holding onto Fionna's warm hand. Then he noticed Lillian looking a bit grave. Was there some bad news? She certainly didn't seem happy, thought not unhappy to see them. Just like she was attending a funeral...then it hit him. They were the only people who knew about it. Had Rhi died in Azkaban? No...not possible. Hmm...no tears even welled in his eyes, but pure curiosity held him on edge.

Headmistress Lillian Van Nikolai

Lillian sighed when she saw them all running towards her. She knew it wouldn't be good news for them to hear...she cut to the point, she knew Rose and Fi had heard plenty of her lecturing.
"Rhiannon is getting released a bit early. I had to pull a few strings. She's gone mad in there and attempted murder twice. Even starved herself. I know first-hand the horrors of Azkaban and she'd in a far higher security cell than I was. Rest assured, the Minister and Department of Magical law enforcement and myself have disscussed and evaluated the situation for many hours into the night. She'd not getting off easy and I need you four to come with me. Fionna, Lucas and Rose, you were all harassed by her. Al, you read the letter she sent off and witnessed her getting arrested." She couldn't really look at their shocked faces.

She held out a useless-looking boot. "Portkey. Everyone grab hold."
When everyone was holding on, Herself, Al, Rose, Lucas, Fionna, she counted in her head...one, two, three...and off they went. To the courtrooms. ((Your post can be here, reacting to what I said, then in the courtrooms, which can for now just be in Rhi's summer home.))

It took Fionna a moment to comprehend what the Headmistress had just said. Rhi was getting out early. When it finally registered, Fionna squeezed Lucas' had quite tightly. She hadn't thought about this possibility. She hadn't been expecting to have anything to do with Rhi for another week. Fionna's face was actually neutral. Inside she was freaking out, but she didn't want her composure slipping at all tonight and it was best to start right now.

Fionna had nothing to say to this. She didn't have much to say when Rhi was concerned. She just held on tightly to Lucas' hand for support and with her other hand, grabbed hold of the port key. She definitely was not ready for tonight. Her mental state was still rattled from earlier plus the guilt of keeping the kisses secret from Lucas. How on Earth was she going to handle this.

Lucas returned the pressure in Fionna's hand, he was nervous too. She was really getting released early? His heart skipped a beat when he heard the attempted murder twice part. Shouldn't she be spending more time in there, not out? Still, if she was seriously going mad, maybe it was for the best. It would be inhumane to keep her locked up in there any further. He could only hope she'd learned her lesson.

If Fionna was hurt again, in any way, by Rhiannon, he'd beat the little brat until she was mush. Not really, but it felt good thinking it. When the portkey jerked behind his navel he gripped Fionna's hand and the portkey with all his worries and just let them slide. Just be calm...he was going to see the minister, going to watch Rhi's trial. Just what on earth was he getting himself into?

Al just gaped for a moment. Unexpected, much? She closed her mouth and nodded, even shivered a bit. Well, no time to waste. She had her hand on the portket first and looked up into her mother's face, which was already looking at her. They both gave identical weak smiles, similar to Donavon's.

As long as Rhi wasn't about to cause any more huge problems, she didn't care. Still, it sounded like mum was sure she'd get punished, so Al had to be as well. She trusted her mum more than anyone, really. No point in doubting her, just trust.

Headmistress Lillian Van Nikolai

Lillian landed with the other students in the entrance hall, the old boot falling to the ground. She stayed standing, brushed herself off and said,
"Sorry you had to get brought along. But incase Kingsley wanted a witness's account we needed you there."
She lifted out a hand and helped Al steady herself, she'd staggered a bit.
"That Austin...I vaguely recognize him. I'm pretty sure his father was a death eater too." She said matter-of factly, recalling the Battle of Hogwarts. Since she wasn't Headmistress at the time, she didn't know all of the death eaters, but she had known some of them. Familiar faces. Like Desdemona.

At least Rhiannon was in his caring hands now, though. She knew Austin would probably take good care of her, feed her and treat her like some princess. After all, if his father was a death eater, then it was in his blood to worship the dark arts. Rhi loved the dark arts. Therefore, they fit together. Not to mention that if he wanted to marry pureblood, there weren't many choices left. Still, there was no way, it wasn't possible for Rhiannon to be fit for school when she got back. Lillian had felt awful after her expierience, she would've needed a week or two, more than two days, to recover. And Rhiannon was young, she should've died a few times over in there if it weren't for the unicorn blood. So...she might need...well...a lot more, really. Still no use worrying about it. What's done is done and at least Rhiannon was still alive. As nasty as she was, Lil doubted any 5 of them, Rose, Al, Fi, Lucas, or herself wanted to see some 14-year old girl get executed.

Fionna landed on the hard floor. She managed to keep her balance but she was so rattled that if she hadn't been gripping Lucas she probably would have toppled down on the floor. She nodded at the headmistress' apology and statement and said, "It' fine. Nothing too dreadful happened..." She supposed she could say that right? Rhi hadn't been killed and nobody had been injured physically. Emotionally was a different story though.

Fionna turned to Lucas and whispered, "Can we go to the common room?" She wanted to sit in front of the fire and talk again. Maybe she would be able to tell him, or maybe she would put it off again. Either way she wanted to sit down somewhere and relax a bit.

"Definitely." Lucas said to Fionna. He waved goodbye to the other students, to the Headmistress, and walked a bit too fast up the stairs to the common room. He longed for the warmth of the fire and Fionna's head on his chest because what he had just seen had chilled him to the core.

One thing was for certain, he would never ever use and unforgivable curse if that's what it got him, never. He knew Azkaban was bad, but seeing the change on Rhi was awful. She looked dead and buried, then dug up a couple days later. At least not bugs were in her body or something, but still...her deathly paleness had burned an imagine on his brain. So had Austin. Was he just faking liking Rhi? Lucas supposed Rhi must be nicer around him of course, since he was pure blood and loved dark arts just like her. Still, could evil people really love? It was an odd question...he supposed they could. But if Rhiannon felt love, didn't that prove she was human, not the monster she claimed to be? And did that make Lucas human too? No, just semi human, just a half-breed, right? He did his best to ignore the thoughts swirling around as he drew nearer to the portrait hole.

Fionna had received Lucas' note and had rushed down to the entrance hall. She nearly fell and tumbled down the flights of stairs due to drowsiness but she managed to catch herself on the banister. Luckily, she had not encountered anybody on he venture down here. She could probably talk her way out of it though.

Fionna did not yet see Lucas here when she arrived, so Fionna went over to one of the ledges and sat down. She fought to keep her eyes open and her mind awake and alert. She waited for Lucas wondering what he would talk to her about. She figured it had been a lot for him to take on. Finding out that a person you hate had saved your life. Fionna knew nothing about that though. She couldn't say she knew how he felt because nothing like that had ever happened to her. She sat there dangling her feet off the ledge.

" Je ne comprends pas cette!" She stood at the entrance of the school, being granted it by the guards of the gate and such, but she stood there, looking at the front of the building. Yes, she was ready to get on with her life finally, and yes, she was excited to see what it was like to be a part of real school, but she wasn't sure if she could handle being in a building so big! She looked at it, and she just didn't understand. Why were there so many windows to the school? Why were there so many entrances and exits? And why were there so many people? Were there really that many wizards in Northwestern Europe? She looked up at the tall castle, not possibly being able to see the top from where she was standing, but she could certainly guess that it was tall enough to kill her if she fell from one of those windows. Kierra sighed, and she went to the front door, entering the castle and walking into the old and rustic entrance hall once and for all. Boy, it was quite an experience for her. The walls were so tall, and the stairs were so wide. The Building was even large on the inside, which, of course, didn't come to a surprise to her. Kierra looked around for a little, admiring everything there was to see. Her eyes stumbled a little bit though, as she noticed a few students wandering around the building, smiling and speaking to each other, walking down a corridor in front of her.

Kierra stood there, a little confused. Were the students not to be in class at this hour? Were they allowed to just wander around the castle like this? She wondered whether or not things were supposed to be this way. She just shook it off, and decided that it was time to just move on into the castle. She walked forward, but again, she stopped, realizing that she had no clue where she was to go, nor which direction she should head in. Things got awfully confusing fast, and she blew out a puff of air in frustration. She let her brow furrow, and all the while, she stared ahead of her, trying to figure out the best route of action. She decided that the room she would need to go to was the room where the head teacher would be found, and that would be a large office of some sort. She looked down each corridor, and decided to take the one up the stairs and in front of her, hopefully leading her in the right direction. Little did she know that she was about to get hopelessly lost in the process.

Lucas waited for a couple minutes before feeling utterly stupid. Why would he even think Fionna'd come? It hadn't been more than five minutes, but it felt like hours, standing here alone. Why would he be rude enough to wake her up this late at night? It was a bit past curfew ...well, more than that if he was honest with himself. He couldn't just expect so much of his girlfriend. She might be amazing and sweet, but she was human too. She needed her rest and, truth be told, he could use his. He sat on one of the low ledges to the entrance hall, knees up against his chest, face towards the bright moon. It was going to be full in less than a week, so it looked about...a little more than 3/4 full. It illuminated the sky and he was sure he'd find it gorgeous if it didn't bring such horrors with it. Just as he thought about horrors, he heard footsteps. He slid off the ledge and looked around carefully. He hoped it wasn't Caiden or someone who wanted to attack him. He'd already proved enough how horrible he was at dueling, what if they wanted a fight? But it wasn't.
Fionna showed up after all. He shrank into the shadow a bit and waited for a moment. He wanted to be sure no one was around before he just walked off with her, he didn't want people to hear him talking. When Lucas saw her blond hair shimmering and he was drawing closer, his heart skipped a beat. Then he walked up to her, hand outstretched, like he'd just arrived.
"Hi." He said, with a smile.
He took her warm hand in his and began walking out into the courtyard with her.
"Thanks, Fionna." He said quietly, like they were surrounded by the sleeping people of the castle.
"I thought...you being a prefect....I'm sorry. I just wanted, well needed, really, to talk to you."

Headmistress Lillian Van Nikolai

Lillian walked out of the shack back to the school with Fionna. When they reached the entrance hall, Lillian was going a different way from Fionna.
"I'll see you soon, Fionna. And I suggest you tell Lucas if you haven't already, I'm sure he'll appreciatte it."
She winked and waved goodbye.
It had been a great lesson overall. Fionna had learned so much, she was so quick to learn and so easy to teach. Truth be told, Lillian was reminded of herself a bit in Fionna, she'd been a model student, too. Of course, in Lillian's teenage years there was so much happening with the Dark Lord possibly vanishing, was Voldemort really gone, then he returned when she was older and it had been odd living in those times of a false peace. No one she knew seemed to live for very long. Yet now, in this generation, Rhiannon and those like her were seen as the next evil-doers. And they were in this castle, in these walls. Now she was in charge of this generation of students. It was odd to think about, she was feeling nostalgic.
