He stalks his prey with slow, cautious steps. Making sure to keep a trained eye on it's movements. Alexandre thought to himself as he watched a bunny through some bushes in the forest not to far from his home. His rear was high in the air while his head was plunked firmly against the ground. His short tail wiggled slowly as he watched the bunny move from flower to flower, getting its nutrients for the day. It had been a long day for both of them. Alexandre had found the bunny snooping around the cave while his parents were taking a small nap with his brothers. It was by chance that they hadn't noticed the bunny or him sneaking away to chase after it, but then again maybe it wasn't. He always found a way to sneak off un-noticed for hours on end.
As he chased the bunny further and further away from the cave he thought for sure he had him until he ran into the forest. Alexandre had been hot on his tail for a long time until he lost him to a barracade of trees and brush. Giving up for a while he ventured off deeper into the forest and finally coming out the other side to the beach. He had met a young mare there who was more or less very feisty. She had become his friend and told him what the soft dirt was called. Apparently it was called sand. Hmm. How odd. He had shrugged it off and ran into the water, playing in it for what seemed like forever. When he had finished having his fun he decided he would run back home and pretend to his parents that he had been there the whole time, they just hadn't looked hard enough. But as he re-entered the forest he saw the same bunny from earlier eating some flowers. So he decided that it was surely a sign from one of his mothers spirit friends that it wasn't time to go home. Or at least that was what he told himself.
This was it. He was going to catch it this time. Maybe he would bring it back home and show his parents that he had caught a evil monster named Iligora that had once tore apart the lands with his army of evil. Sure, they might not believe him but it was the only thing his mind could think of. Oh! Maybe he could be the knight that saved the princess from Iligora's evil clutches!?! Yeah, that sounded like a plan. Slowly Alexandre raised his head and jumped through the bushes. Scaring the poor bunny away and into a burrow. "Dang!" He said with a frown. He had let it get away again.
