Jack-In-The-Pulpit was annoyed. As usual. Hell, why had he wiggled all the way out here? Oh yeah, for Bandit. Course. He found himself being dragged around by her, whether mentally or physically. Though anyone could argue he had the choice to leave he still returned to her to spend time with the girl, or rather, grumpily mumble at her. Yes, he was grumpy, yet she stayed around. He found her amusing in the regard that even while he was reading her emotions she still surprised him at times. No one did that. No one could do that.
So, at her request he had trudged through the rain, pulled himself up to a little fox hole, and plopped himself down to wait for the supervillian in the making. Sometimes he just wanted to duct-tape her mouth, though she didn't annoy him half as much as he pretended. He had a suspicion she knew, too, hence why she hadn't just ditched him already. Still, despite his sometimes bitter remarks and grumpy comments he stayed where he was, either amused by her or perhaps even considering her a friend. This was unknown. All that was known was that Jack was wet, cold, and waiting for a kit that loved to talk his ear off.

A bag of coins jingling against her side, a blanket strewn over her arm, and a dark blue umbrella was all Bandit needed to get where she was going. She took her 'job' seriously, even if it was something that went unnoticed by most people. But the person who HAD to see, the one she felt the NEED to bother with the information, was Jack. Whether or not she found his annoyed attitude funny or interesting was a mystery, even to herself. But what she did know was that at the chance to see a rare smile, she felt the need to go to great lengths for it. It was at that moment she spotted him, her winning smile quickly turning into a sour frown as she raced over, quickly draping the blanket over his shoulders and squashing herself next to him to share her umbrella, "You goofball! I didn't say get pneumonia while you're out here." Using her free paw, she quickly tucked the sides of the blanket in, forming the cover into a cocoon around him to keep him warm.

At her appearance he made a great show of frowning, looking away as if he didn't care, and flicking his tail. However he turned to give his attention to her when she came close enough, his eyes narrowed as the pathetic mop of water miserably watched her. When the blanket was offered he wiggled into it, allowed her to fasten it, and glared at her.
"You never said it'd be raining." He grumbled lowly, though he seemed to relax once the blanket did the trick of warming him. Pausing, he noticed that didn't have much to keep herself warm, moving a little closer to help warm her up.
"Besides," He mused lightly, adopting a teasing zone. "If I was sick you could make me soup and feed it to me. Finally, the tables would be turned." He didn't smile, but he was relaxing. His eyes flicked to the coin purse, ear flicking under the blanket. "Made a stop somewhere?"

As a reflex, Bandit quickly tugged the bag to her chest, her fur ruffling lightly, "Only underneath the couch cushions and under furniture, I swear!" It took her a moment to realize the previous spoken words and she uncharacteristically flushed of color, quickly ducking behind her bag, "Well, I'd kinda have to... I mean, I dragged you out here by force and all..." Changing the subject in a heartbeat, she opened her bag and rooted through it, pulling out an object at random, "Look, it's shiny!" Petting the dime like a new pet, she squished it against her cheek adoringly, "This was in the back of a cabinet." She was easily distracted and she knew it, switching from one thing to the next to keep Jack on his toes. But how else would she entertain someone who always had that grumpy face? It gave her a goal.

Frowning briefly he noted her blush, reading her body signs. Ah, this was new. Briefly amused despite the lack of a smile he flipped a strand of hair from his eyes, flicked his ear, and frowned as she pulled out a shiny object.
"A dime." Ah, he seemed to always kill joy. "It's common for humans. It's humans currency." He noted this dime made her happy, leaning back, taking off his earring stud, and handing it to her. Why? It was shiny and made her happy... Maybe he did like when she was happy.
"I have more at home. It's shiny. You like shiny things, right?" He asked, hoping it'd please her. Why? Ugh. He didn't know.

As grumpy as he was, most of his comments went in one ear and out the other and she soothed her found currency, still holding its' placement against her cheek. However, her ears perked in a heartbeat, flicking her gaze on her company, "Shiny? Well yeah, shiny things are fun." she grinned mischievously, "While I'm at it, I can make you that soup I owe you, right?" Toying with him would hopefully make him less grumpy, or so she thought, she she played with a strand of his hair and put her dime back into her bag. She bounced back and spoke again, her voice back to her normal, fun one, "So? Chicken noodle or tomato?"

When she toyed with his hair his paw raised to bat her aside, momentarily distracted when she mentioned food. Ah, the male looked up at her, tail flicking side to side.
"Can you cook?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at the girl. "If you burn the food I won't talk to you for a......week." The logic of being a kit, deep and profound... The male scrunched his face up, pondering on what food choice he wanted. It was cold, really cold, and he was wet, so obviously the chicken noodle soup seemed the most appealing. Besides, tomato soup had a weird consistency.
"Chicken noodle soup. But wait... are we...going to your house?" His eyes widened, ears flicking briefly as his paw touched the empty hole in his ear.

She nodded, "Well DUH, why would I offer unless I knew how to heat up soup?" She looked up the sky and back at him, blinking, "Unless you want to eat at your house? But then, I'm not sure how to maneuver..." She gestured with her hands, trying to picture herself looking for bowls and finding random, non-kitcheny objects. Her thoughts bounced back to reality and she smiled, "While I'm at it, I might as well eat some too... Nice and hot food is the best for rainy days." She could've been drooling, the thought of food making her stomach growl.

Shaking his head, Jack looked up at the girl and frowned. "Ah, no no no." He said, paw poking at the ground. "I don't care. Just wondering if I'll see your family, that's all." Suddenly he scowled, head turning.
"Not like I care anyway. Seriously. Your family can't be that frightening." He hissed between his teeth, looking away. The kit bunched his face up, sneezing under his blanket. Ugh, he really wished he had gone out with an umbrella of sorts.
Bumping her hip with his, he made a move to leap off the rock he had been perched on. "So, off we go."

Bandit frowned, "Well, nah, my family ain't so bad... My cousin Akana gives me the creeps though." She shivered slightly, unsure herself if it was the idea of her half-vampire relative or from the cold. Shrugging off her thoughts, she grabbed him by the paw and tugged him in the right direction, smiling at him suddenly, "It's this way." She rambled away, switching easily from one topic to the next to fill any possible silence as they walked, "You will meet my momma there for sure, and my uncle if he's around... he can play guitar really good."

He almost corrected her language for a second, however quickly he swallowed what he was about to say and merely blinked when she took his paw and tugged. The sudden smile made the kit's eyes widen briefly, looking away with a glare at the rocks as he began to follow her.
He sneezed suddenly, ears flicking back. Nnnn. He was not amused, however Bandit would care for him. Hrm. What would his mother think? She'd... She'd be fine for now. He'd come home eventually. Besides, Jack was the least of her worries.
"Guitar?" What the hell was a guitar? His parents never mentioned that before. "What is a guitar?"

Bandit paused mid-stride, turning to look at Jack as if he'd just sprouted a second head, "You don't know what a guitar is?" She tapped her chin a moment, absorbed in thought for a brief moment, "Well, it's... an instrument... with strings.... and you play it to make music..." The rain was forgotten in her attempts to find an easy way to describe it, starting to walk towards her house again and clinging to Jack in a distracted manner, not minding the fact she now had her arm thrown over his shoulders to usher him forward.

Her look at him not only made him feel dumb, but also annoyed. Wait, was this common knowledge? Hmpf. The fact that he didn't know what it was and she did annoyed him. He prided himself in being smart, this wouldn't do. "Then teach me how to play it." He suddenly blurted. Ah. This meant more time with Bandit..... Did he mind? Hrn.
Her arm around him distracted him from his thoughts, eyes flicking back to widen in momentary alarm. Though, he relaxed. Bandit was the only non-family person able to get away with that. His eyes raised, allowing her to usher him forward.
"Unless it is not an activity I can learn?"

(( Cheza and I took this to PM due to us being lazy with the guild, so I'll post her posts from the PM from now on. ))
She shook her head, her gaze still a blank stare, "No-no, it's definitely something you can learn, but... well..." She wrinkled her nose, "I don't know how to play it. I learned how to play piano to be different from my Momma and Uncle..." She pouted lightly, suddenly regretting her decision but unsure as to why. She blinked and looked over, seeming to just then notice her arm and quickly pull away, her face flushing of color, "OOPS, my bad! Unless... you know, you don't mind..."

"Piano?" He knew what that was, eyes narrowing briefly. She played the piano? Well. That was something he understood and had seen before since his house had one in the hallway. "Then, we can play piano together." He replied back. eyes flicking when she moved her arm, glancing at her.
"Tch." Did he mind? Scowling slightly, he just glanced away for a second. Well, if he said no then Bandit may think something strange, but if he said he did then she may pout and whine. Either way, he didn't mind to much as long as she wasn't restricting his movement.
"If I did mind I would have let you know." Pause. "Idiot." Awkwardly shifting and resting his arm around her shoulders, he didn't really look at her. It was his way of assuring her she wasn't bothering him, though he wasn't sure why he himself cared so damn much.
