Sneaking away while his parents weren't looking was becoming more and more fun despite their constant searching and frantic hugs when he returned. But what could he say? It was fun to see the world just beyond the cave but still having the choice to return to it if that was what he wanted to do. As he ventured further and further away from his home he found himself going deeper and deeper into the forest that laid beneath his home. Wow how different it was to be in a forest. The smells were much more fresh and clean so to speak then the cave. "This is awesome!" He exclaimed with excitement before accidentally tripping over a large root from a tree.
As he hit the ground a loud thud echoed out around him. His head hurt from hitting the ground, but for the most part he was unharmed. "Gotta make sure to watch where I'ma walking." Alexandre said to himself, trying to mentally brush off the fact that his eye sight was just not that great. Every day it seemed to be getting worse and worse. The images were getting blurrier and blurrier day by day. It was frustrating to say the least. Not being able to see things far away or at times even close up. He had been playing it off to his parents that he was just clumsy because he didn't want to worry them, figuring that he would eventually grow out of whatever funk was happening to him. Surely they had experienced it once before in their foalhood too. That was what he told himself anyways.
Alexandre lifted himself up off the ground and cautiously looked around. He wasn't afraid, but he knew that his loud yell could have easily awoken a sleeping beast. That was not something he was to keen on experiencing today. Slowly he walked forward, urging himself on to find something to do. Within about an hour he stumbled upon a very very large mare with dirt coloring. What was she doing way out here? Why was she so large? These questions swirled around his head as he approached her making sure she saw him coming. He didn't like to sneak up on others because of his mothers easily scared demeanor had taught him better. "Hello." He said with a smile to the large mare.
