(( I figured we would go Me, Pawsie, then Fey. I hope that's OK? )) She wasn't leaving. No, she was taking a private hunting trip. Just one she hadn't cleared with Aali.
It had been months now, since Vu left, and only weeks since she came to Aali with the fact she was now a Padless Beybanu. She lied to anyone who approached and asked where her Pad was.
"Off hunting."
"Taking care of grandcubs."
"Left before I woke up."
She didn't think it was hurting anyone but her. Now, the green eyed lioness resided with Aali until someone was interested enough in her to take her off Aali's paws. Part of her hated that she was being traded around. She always, always thought she'd stay with Vu until they both died. But here she was... It wasn't.. common but it wasn't exactly common, her predicament. Most Pads brought their Beybanu, at least, with them if they left the pride.
Vu just broke her heart. She had wept at night when she was alone. Fila had long sense left and it left Mollie ample of crying time. She was refusing to eat lately, only taking a drink of water when her throat closed up. With the oncoming winters, she knew the pride was worried about losing yet another lioness.
Molemogi knew perfectly well that she wasn't the only broken heart in the pride, but at the moment, she felt like she was. Looking around at the families just tore her heart apart even further. She wouldn't have cubs with Vu anymore. She wouldn't have cubs at all anymore because when Pads looked at her they just saw some used up lioness who lost her beauty along with her youth. No one wanted a knowledgeable Banu. They seemed to all want young Banu who could give birth starting at a young age. Ones they've probably known growing up.
Now she stepped into the rogue lands once more to search for Vu like she had done when she was younger. She was just as scared, just as unsure of what was going to happen. A part of Molemogi wished she had taken an escort, but then again, the escort probably wouldn't let her leave.
"I'm not leaving the pride... I'm just trying to find him..." She whispered to herself for a little bit of company. She forgot how much she hated being alone.

Ulimi lay quietly among the brush, just along the pride borders. His mind buzzing in a million different directions, and no indication on a stopping point. He'd been troubled lately, mostly with lioness troubles, but he tended to push them off since they were his own problem. He was the one who has sought this pride out, among all of the others he could have gone to; and for what? Lionesses. So there you go, his own fault. But it seemed that all of his trouble to make it here, had been for naught. Not a single lioness dare approach him, and those that did, were quickly driven away by his snide, perfectionist remarks. He knew in his heart they were something he had to hold back, but his mind simply refused to agree, if he jumbled them up and stashed them away, he would end up just as he was today. A frustrated lion with a headache out of this world. A slight breeze blew past the male, and he cherished it, it wasn't an overly hot day today, but it wasn't exactly his ideal weather either. No, it was much to ..... motionless. The wind hardly blew, which left him feeling frozen in time. So, you could imagine his disappointment as the small breeze died out.
With a huff, the male pulled himself to his paws and stretched himself out, fluffing his mane as he stood. If he wasn't going to get any wind here, perhaps a change of scenery was in order. Perhaps he'd travel to the rogue lands once again, and continue his futile attempts at bringing home a Banu or if he was really lucky a Beybanu? "May as well try.." He mumbled wearily as something caught in the corner of his eye.
It was a lioness, a bit older in age, but still young enough to walk these lands alone? That didn't see to make any sense, he hadn't been here within the U'W very long, but this was quite possibly the first time he'd ever seen a female without an escort.
Curious. Very curious.
Ulimi watched for a bit as she ambled her way across the area, ultimately trying to figure out the puzzle he found himself caught in. But perhaps, his interests had gotten the better of him? He knew better than to follow her, or to follow anything suspicious. After all, Curiosity did kill the cat. But this time, he ignored his common sense, and picked up on the lionesses trail, not only curious as to why she was unattended, but also perhaps where she thought she was going alone.

Ulimi wasn't the only lion watching Molemogi's solitary progress into the rogue lands. Voldemaras, a Reaver of the Myrsky Syntynyt, had gone off with permission from his raiding party to investigate the rumours of a pride with many more females than males, where the females were raised to be submissive and subservient. It had seemed to his Captain that such a pride might make for easy pickings if they were to go raiding there, but before they suggested any such thing to the Warlord, they wanted to be sure. After all, this pride was nowhere near the Stormborn lands and it would please no one to be forced to travel for many days to earn no reward.
From his observations so far Vol had noticed that the females of the pride rarely left its obvious borders without a male escort. He had not observed any of the female hunting parties that left the pride, having stationed himself in a place that was little-used for that or any other purpose. Actually he had not seen a single lion or lioness until this darker female who moved with a certain aged sedateness turned up, moving almost like prey. It seemed the submissive part of the rumours was true.
He slipped out of his hiding place and began slinking after her, putting to use skills he had learned to control where a lion would go without actually showing himself. It took a lot of practice and some innate talent to herd lions, but Vol was good at it, and even better when he decided to show himself. He would wait to do that, though, until he'd gotten the female far enough away from the pride that she couldn't simply dart home when he "appeared." There were questions he wanted to ask her.

Her ears raise when she heard grass rustling. But it was at the same time as the wind blowing, so she wrote it off as that. It still made her pause, crouch and look around though. She saw no odd movements in the distance, no odd movements in the grass.
After a few more moments, she got up and started walking again. Yes, she was submissive, but not all the lionesses in her pride were. They were trained to be submissive like she was, but not all of them were broken. Her daughter, Afsar, for example, would probably do a lot better in the rogue lands then Molemogi did. Afsar had never set a paw outside of the pride in her life, either. Still, she remembered the basics of fighting Vu had taught her before they wound up in the pride she was from.
Her thoughts only picked up more the father she left the pride behind. Her paws, still unsure, made quick work and her nose was going wildly, searching for his scent. She couldn't smell anything because the wind was pulling it all away from her.
A sigh and a curse left her lips as she stopped yet again and sat, looking about. "Where do I start...?"

Having waited as long as he did to begin following the older female, Ulimi was quite far behind the tracks she had made so far. But the decision to wait, was definitely in his favor. With the advantage of having waited, he had the advantage of distance. Travelling so very far behind her, she was far less likely to notice his stalker type tendencies. But he could still keep an eye on her, and get a first hand idea of what an older female could possibly have to that is so important as to break the pride rules.
So far, nothing seemed important she just seemed to be wandering aimlessly. A glance in one direction or another, followed by more walking, it was just a boring routine. Perhaps she was attempting to leave the pride? Or maybe she was lost? No, that wouldn't be possible - she'd come directly from the pride's territory, and seemingly left on purpose.
Ulimi was hopelessly lost in this mystery, which could have been a good thing, had it not been so boring. But, things were bound liven up, just as they always did. Right?
Raising his head from the footprints imprinted in the sand, Ulimi thought he noticed a streak of black cross the path ahead. But, in the blink of an eye it seemed to have disappeared. Shaking his head, he refocused his attention to the spot he thought he saw the streak at, but there was nothing there.
"Must be the heat.." He mumbled, bringing his attention back to the footprints. By look of the prints, the lioness might have been tiring herself out, or just being lazy. Either way, the realization that he hadn't actually seen the lioness in a couple of minutes, brought him back to attention. He quickly picked up his pace, and took the proper steps to close in on the female.
He wanted, and needed to confront her. Possibly offer her his assistance, but at the same time, he really didn't want to startle her.
Instead he prompted for the more sensible approach, letting her 'find' him.
Lowering his head to the ground once more, Ulimi took in a sniff of the female's scent. He then, lurked off to the side, and picked up his pace once more. His plan was simple, pass her quickly made tracks, while hiding his own. He would then hide in plain sight, with luck she would notice his presence and from there, he could offer her his assistance.
---
It took him a good while to do, but her finally managed to stealth past the female - while simply hiding his tracks with a swipe of his tail. Huffing and puffing a bit, the male grumbled about how out of shape he was, and took a whiff of the air. She was close, now all he had to do was wait. He then found a nice bit of convenient shade to sit under, as he awaited her unavoidable reappearance.

It didn't escape Vol's notice that the lioness had acquired another follower. He didn't bother to expend any thought on why the other lion might have taken it upon himself to pursue her. Instead he merely altered his movements so that he could also get a good look at this additional factor to his equation while still continuing to drive the lioness in the desired direction.
It didn't seem that he would have to go to too much effort to do so, actually. The other lion was so bent on his pursuit that he actually passed the lioness, apparently planning to be in he way and ambush her. Lovely. Of course, Vol was reasonably certain it would be no trouble to simply steer her away from that spot, and thus prevent their meeting. Maybe it was a tryst. Or perhaps she was being hunted down to be dragged back to the pride. Vol only cared insofar as it would effect his plans for the older lioness.
He moved closer to his quarry, letting his footfalls make more noise and making more noise in general as he moved parallel to her path. She should, if she had an ounce of sense, turn in the other direction to avoid him, since he didn't exactly sound like any sort of prey beast. He wondered if he ought to growl, to drive that point home.

Like a lamb to the slaughter, Molemogi walked unaware f what was going on around her. All she knew is she kept hearing noises and she would pause every so often, crouch low to the ground for a few moments and then pop up and look around for the source of those noises. Swallowing thickl, she'd continue along her way.
But now the noises were clear and coming from a side. She changed her route to go the opposite direction in which they were going. Her ears flicked this way and that as her shell necklace swung to and fro like a pendulum. Oh to be back in the pride where she was safe.
But I have to know... I have to at least look for him. That was her reasoning for putting herself in danger. This was not boding well for here. There was grass rustling on one side, another side there were foot falls.
Finally the female crouched and stayed that way. Maybe if she didn't move she wouldn't have to try to defend herself.

This whole being stealthy thing just wasn't working out well for the male. Not only was he seeing blurs out of the corners of his eyes, but the female he'd been stalking seemed to be alerted of his presence. Obviously, in a non friendly way by the stance she took as she came to a stop.
'Not exactly as strong-willed and brave as I had assumed..'
Ulimi thought as he found himself becoming more aware of his own surroundings. Being brave enough to leave the pride's border by herself was one thing, but apparently it was nowhere near as difficult as the dilemma she found herself in now. It was a bit bothersome - for him to strike such fear into a female - normally he just got angry scratches across the face. But he could easily equate this situation to a simple misunderstanding. Here he was, stalking her lie prey. Not necessarily his intentions...
With a shrug of his shoulders, and a release of the breath he'd been holding in, Ulimi allowed himself to step slowly out of the bushes. "It's alright, i'm not here for a fight." He mumbled. "More to offer my protection for the duration of your journey. The Roguelands aren't exactly the safest place for an unprotected lioness to tread." He smiled slightly, biting his tongue with sheer force, to hold himself back from muttering anything relating to her age or physical condition.

Vol's eyes narrowed as the other male gave up any pretense of stealth and stepped into the open, revealing his presence and addressing the female. This was inconvenient, and Vol did not appreciate it in the least. Well, maybe he did a little. Now he would get to fight someone, and he had been spoiling for a fight for hours now, and the feeling had only gotten worse in the time he'd spent stalking the dark female. Thus, he decided that this would be an opportune time to reveal himself.
He didn't see any reason why he ought to make polite introductions and smalltalk though. That was not the Stormborn way. That was a waste of time. It would be much simpler if he just attacked the male, fought with him, maybe killed him, and then took the female away. Probably the fight would leave her that much more intimidated and that much less likely to resist her capture. Not that Vol minded putting wayward Thralls in their place, but they had quite a way to go before reaching the rest of his band and he didn't want to have to chase her all the way there.
Stealthily he moved closer until he was within pouncing range and then he gathered his legs beneath him and pushed mightily with his hind paws against the ground, propelling himself forward in a leap that should have been unlikely for a lion no longer in the first flush of youth. His target was the bright blue lion who had just spoken and warned of the danger of the rogue lands. He had no idea.

She was startled when someone came from seemingly out of no where and started talking to her. Molemogi crouched lower to the ground, belly pressing against it and her ears pinned back. She'd never been good at defending herself, and never claimed to be. However, when she realized what the male said, she opened those green eyes and looked up at whoever it was. She thought she recognized him from the pride she was escaping from. Shivering to herself, she nodded and let her brows knit.
"O-oh..." Was all she managed to croak out. Her voice was raspy like it always had been, but it showed her age more than her body did. Getting to her paws slowly, she cleared her throat and looked around. So he was the one she'd been scared of this whole time?
"Why didn't you-" Her question was broken when she saw another lion leaping through the air. She gave a shout and a whimper, trying to decide what to do in a split second. However, instead of falling back to the ground, her body moved to try to push the blue male out of the way before the other one could come and attack him. The other male looked intent on killing; she knew this look from that Firekin long ago that had attacked Vu because of her. Now another male was getting attacked. Maybe it really was best to just leave the land.

For a split second, Ulimi was dumbfounded, unsure of exactly what was going on. But as he unsheathed his claws and dug them into the dirt everything came into focus. The male had come almost out of nowhere, and what a coward to jump into a fray when your foe's back was turned. Ulimi growled allowing his claws to unsheathe, the growl easily echoed across the area and came towering back over them.
Turning his head viciously back toward the fray he focused less on the male, and more on the female he had been following. She had pushed him out of the way - was she OK? He saw no sign of her, but the male in question was plain to see. With his eyes squinted into thin slits, Ulimi prepared himself for an attack. "The hell is wrong with you?" He hissed, growls rumbling through his throat as he tore into coward before him. "Are you that pathetic that you can only attack when one is unaware of your presence?" Spitting in disgust he turned his focus back at the male. "Such cowardice! I hope you don't call yourself a lion."

Vol wasn't even sure how to respond to the nonsensical vitriol the other lion was spewing in his direction. Mostly he was irritated, and he wasn't one of those lions who became more lucid and loquacious when irritated. He was a warrior, and when he was irritated he became violent.
"Says the lion who had to be saved by a female. You are unfit to pass judgment on me." It was a much better comeback than what his mind came up with at first:
So you walk up to your prey, introduce yourself, and ask if it wouldn't mind climbing down your gullet? I don't know if you've already managed to get some dumb sow pregnant, but for the betterment of lionkind I must now kill you for your stupidity.
That would've been much too long, far less strong, and generally worse. He was glad he'd taken a moment to pause and consider. He'd also spent that moment preparing to pounce once more, since it was obvious he would have to do away with the loudmouth before he could take the female.

She was scrambling to get out of the way. Honestly, Molemogi didn't want to fight. This was just like what happened with her once mate. Her heart ached to see a scene like this playing out again. Tears filled her eyes, but she looked away from them both. She couldn't do it.
Vu fought off a Firekin for her. Now this other male from her pride was trying to protect her. Why was he doing that? What was another empty lioness getting attacked? Really, she didn't really know why he was doing this. It confused her so much that she was kind of staring at the scene, trembling.
She would cower right now. No words would be spoken, no movements would come from her. She found herself a spot where she wouldn't get in the way or cause any more trouble and she was intent on staying there.
