Born to an extremely rich family,Kenryuu,being made heir since he was an only child,was already aware that some people wants to drag him down and take their family's glory all to themselves.Due to this fact,he occasionally dreams of being murdered in public,in a dark alley,and even inside their grand manor.One night,he dreamt that he will soon be assassinated by someone his family trusts so much.Not bothering about his safety anymore and since he just wanted everything to end,he never told anyone about this dream until it happened one day while he was playing his violin inside the music room.The assassination happened so quickly that he didn't realize that he was dead already...

Kenryuu was awakened by a man wearing a black kimono.He felt strange when he found out that he doesn't even have a single scratch in his body and he was now wearing traditional Japanese clothes.Upon asking the man where he was,he found out that he was in Soul Society,the afterlife.When he learned that some people like him who were endowed with weird abilities can be a Shinigami,he decided to be one in order to fulfill something he hadn't done even once in his life:To protect others and keep them safe no matter how hard a situation may be.
