Being Active: Ricky loves working up a sweat. Whether its working out in the gym, going for a run, playing a sport, or even something simple like repaint the house on a hot day – Ricky just loves to feel like he is doing something, especially outside. He loves doing manual labor and working with tools. He is convinced that someone’s manliness is equivalent to how much they perspire daily (unless you’re a sweaty man hunched over a computer - that to him is not masculine). And manliness is very important to Ricky.
Being Reckless: When the sun goes down, Ricky keeps up his activity by being reckless. He doesn’t like spending an evening alone or at home, and looks for people to see or places to go and trouble to cause. He is often seen at bars or clubs, drinking or dancing, or causing trouble on the streets. He is always looking for a nighttime thrill, in any place he can find, no matter how dangerous. Having fun is priority number one.
Virtues:
Lively: Ricky is always up to something or looking for something to do. In this way, he is very out-going and willing to do anything social that strikes him as a fun time as long as it isn’t sitting around. Looking for a friend to hit the clubs with? Ricky is your guy. Need another guy to shoot hops with? Ricky will be there in five. Want to go cow-tipping? Ricky’s already there.
Assertive: Ricky gets stuff done. He isn’t afraid to speak his mind or take care of some physical task that needs to be done – in fact, he relishes in those opportunities. He loves to show off what he can do. He is very out-spoken and eager to do whatever is necessary – even to the extreme.
Upbeat: Ricky doesn’t let the world get him down. Sure, the world can piss him off and he isn’t afraid to show it, but he doesn’t sulk in his room at nights about how he was wronged. Flaws:
Dumb as a Brick: Erm, what? When it comes to booksmarts, Ricky is pretty clueless. He never really tried when he was in school, so struggles with a lot.
Larger vocabulary words escape him, and when given a task, most things take extra explanation. He doesn’t ever plan ahead, and acts solely on unplanned impulses for which he has to face the consequences.
Subtle as a Brick: Ricky is loud. Very, very loud. While his assertiveness is great for getting stuff done, his behavior in doing so can be very abrasive. He won’t just give his opinion, he’ll do so loudly, and often offensively. When he enters a room, he calls attention to himself - usually in a negative way – due to his general loudness.
Narrow-Minded: Ricky doesn’t like a lot of things, or a lot of people. He can be very ignorant and close-minded, which can be off-putting to others. Furthermore, he doesn’t like anything that makes him feel dumb, weak, or emasculated – so takes issues with people who are smarter than him, stronger than him, or anyone who makes him feel less like “a man” in his view. He doesn’t like anyone who disagrees with his world views, and often gets in arguments with those who do.
Aggressive: Ricky has a hot temper with a short fuse. He is normally loud and blunt, but when angry he holds nothing back. When angered, he is rude, insensitive, and rash. Combined with his impulsiveness, this anger has made him face a lot of consequences – occasionally legal.

Squire: Vine Lasso
At this stage, the twig is significantly longer – it has become a vine! It is tied into a lasso with a two-foot diameter hoop, which Troy Squire can use with magic to protect himself and his allies. When Troy Squire swings the lasso in a performative way (think rapid circles with the loop in front of him), the hoop essentially functions as a magical propelling shield that can repel physical and magical attacks away from him. This magical shield effect is confined only to the area inside the hoop, meaning that it this requires great practice, coordination and maneuvering, and enemies can potential maneuver around it. As this slowly channels his energy, he can use this ability for a total forty seconds per battle.
Knight: Super Vine Lasso
The lasso at this stage is remarkably similar, but slightly more detailed, longer and thicker. The hoop is also larger, at a three-foot diameter. He continues to the ability from his Squire stage (however, the hoop shrinks down to its two-foot diameter size in this spell), but Troy Knight can also buff allies by having them pass through the hoop of his lasso. When his allies pass through the hoop (often done by the hoop over his teammates and them stepping out), they are granted protection and resilience to magical or physical attacks for ten seconds. This does not make them invincible, but they are highly resistant to pain and are more impervious to being damaged. This ability can be used three times per battle.
**Note: The lasso is functional as a lasso, but does not have any uses or advantages in battle.
