Pavitra quietly laid in the tall, tan grass, admiring the color the trees were turning. It was windy, and the touches of winter were coming in. Winter... he knew his depression would set in in the first days its cold reached their home. He felt sick just thinking about it. He should have considered the seasons when looking for his and Adalyn's home but she was so happy here. Pavitra trained his eyes on his children though, and knew he'd be fine. With them, he could be anything.
Damir trotted up to his Father, eying his suspiciously. He never seemed so far away than he did at that moment. About to nose him, to get his attention, Pavi seemed to come back and he smiled tenderly. Smiling too, Damir flopped down beside him.
Pavitra, just noticing him, nuzzled his hair and looked to the rest. Yea, he'd be just fine.

Adalyn wandered up to Pavi and put her face to his enjoying the company of him al the other foals. Many things had changed since they had been born she was more open and caring they had changed her and they still were. She let her feelings for Pavi and the family roam free these days showing her love every second of every day. She would walk up to the foals or Pavi just to say she loved them and her mask was well away in there home. She smiled to herself pulling ayway from Pavi to asess the foals. She knew who was who Titan the one who resembled her the most Damir the silent one and Alexander who had not shown any signs of problem. She did wonder why Damir was the only one who had an problem she had wanted a girl but when three colts were born she was overjoyed for the new lives. The spirits had kept it a secret from her and she had found out on her own. She did wonder if they would see the spirits as she did but only time would tell even if the did not she hoped they would follow in the footsteps of her family. Titan was growing annoyed at his mother for showing so much love for his father. He wished she would pay more attention to him and his brothers but he could tell how much she loved him. Silently he wandered over to his other brothers and spread his wings out sitting down in a heap dust rising around him.He hoped his father would teach him to fly along with Alex all he could do not was flap them feebly not even able to rise off the ground without stumbling and falling. Adalyn felt sorry she could not spend more time with everyone and she knew how the foals felt when she needed alone time with Pavi. She hoped they understood her it was hard raising 3 foals even more when they were all colts. She hoped that none of them felt left out they were all loved equally and she hoped they would always love each other even when there parents were long gone..even after Pavi left..now she realized it would be hard for her but even harder for the colts even when they did grow up. Would they every understand?

Alexandre stood between his mother and father, not sure which one he wanted to be closer to right now. Both of them seemed to be buried deep within their own thoughts which made him wonder exactly what they were thinking about. They seemed to always be somewhere else but there at the same time. Not that he really minded. It was easier for him to hear what was going on when everyone was silent. One aspect that he liked about Damir. Although, if he was being honest it would be nice to hear him speak, even just once. To know what his voice sounded like and maybe even know what exactly went on in his mind and not having to look at what he wrote in the dirt. He had made his decision. Slowly he walked over to Damir and his father. He gently rubbed Damir's head with his left wing before laying down in front of him. "What are you doing?" He asked innocently, waiting for him to respond with a movement or to write it in the dirt.
As he waited he noticed Titan was coming to join them. Titan was the total opposite of Damir in the aspect that not only did he talk but he made sure to do so all the time. Not that Alexandre was really complaining. In a lot of ways it was nice that he did because he never had to guess what was going on in his little head. But unless Titan was asleep it was constant talking about what exactly went on in his head. Hmm... Alexandre thought to himself. He could see both good and bad--no not bad--less awesomer traits in his siblings that both at times frustrated him and captivated him. He would never admit to either one of them that he got frustrated with them for their lack of talking and over talking because he loved them and hurting them even in a minimal way was not something he would ever do.
"Da, will we be able to fly one day?" He asked curiously. Alexandre didn't know for sure or not if they would actually be able to fly. Surely there were a great deal of winged soquili that could not or maybe even hated flying. One day I hope I can fly all around the world and meet all of the mysterious creatures of the lands. He thought excitedly to himself. But then that would mean that he would have to leave his Da and Ma for a while. While the thought wasn't unbearable to him it did slightly disturb him. He loved his parents and brothers so much that sometimes the thought of leaving them caused him some discomfort. And if he asked them to come with him then he wouldn't be able to fly because neither his mother or brother Damir had wings. "Hmmm..." He said out loud on accident still in to deep of thought to even realize he had done it in the first place. And what if when they were all adults they split up? Oh no! What would Damir do since he couldn't talk? Or rather didn't want to. Would he tag along with one of them? Would he one day talk to someone? Ugh... To many questions... He thought to himself.
Finally he looked over at his mother. "Ma." Alexandre paused. Maybe it was better not to ask her about what would happen to all of them when they grew up and where they would go next. "How did you meet Da?" He asked, smiling sweetly in his mothers direction. She wasn't to far away from them but he found himself unable to see things that were far away at times. The image he saw just kept getting blurrier and blurrier day by day. He hadn't yet told his parents or his brothers for that matter, figuring it was probably normal and that they had probably experienced it too at some point or another... Right?

Damir looked up to his brother, Alexandre and smiled happily. He loved his brothers being close to him. His family, in general, really. He felt so safe and secure. Their little piece of happiness. His smile didn't fade as he shrugged. He wasn't doing anything in particular. Just laying about, enjoying the sun. He curled his long tail around to fluff Alex's smaller tail. It was so funny, like Mother's, watching it twitch every so often. It made him want to laugh, but even a giggle wouldn't budge from his mouth. No one really questioned why he didn't talk, at least to him. He didn't either, honestly. He'd thought about trying, especially when he gets frustrated, but he can't seem to get it started.
He smiled at his other brother, Titan when he joined them. Really looked at both his younger brothers, Dami noticed how unalike he was. They both liked to talk, a lot, which he didn't mind most of the time. They both have wings. They're both braver. They're both adventurers. They're both so unlike himself. Maybe that was good, but Damir feared that one day, when they're older, their differences from himself will get in the way... that he'd be left behind, a bum brother. He turned his gaze from them and stared into the blue sky. He shouldn't think like that. Titan and Alex love him... but he was still scared. Damir was scared of everything.
Pavitra, feeling Adalyn's warmth and love simply radiating off her touch, beamed up at her. Such a turn around. He remembered the first night he'd seen her. What a sad, young mare. Hiding behind her mask, Adalyn couldn't seem to see the slightest bit of sunshine. "Such a beautiful angel." Pavitra answered little Alex's question, with out looking at him. Instead he stared into her blue eyes. "That's what I thought the night I met her. Even with her mask."
He turned to look at his youngest son this time, and smiled a different kind of smile. A smile of pure love and adortion. His sons. He couldn't exist with out them, not now. "And you'll learn to fly soon enough. It's a wonderful thing, your wings." He looked to Dami and winked. "But not all they're chalked up to be, promise." Pavi himself didn't enjoy flying too much. No, he much preferred running. The way his body plows the earth with each step is much better than gliding. But maybe his two boys would love it. Who knows?

Adalyn looked down at her youngest son and smiled at him before gazing upon them all and back to Pavi her entire body giving off a warmth. "I met your father while wandering through the woods..I tried to push him away but he followed me..He did the one thing that made me fall in love..He was the first outsider to ever see my face" she nods at Alex and bends down to nuzzle him. "We will always love all of you nothing is stronger than the bond of family..Im sure someday when your ready your father will teach you to fly.." her mind wanders to the stallion she met who claimed he let those without wings fly. She knew what he would ask him for..to grant Damir the joy of flying without wings by inventing some crazy gadget. She steps closer to Pavi again enjoying this time spent with the entire family.
Titan watched his brother and his parents more intently studying there actions and behaviors. He turned to his father and asked the same question "Father..When will we be able to fly..? It would be amazing to soar through the sky's with you" His eyes are glinting with joy "Being above everyone must feel amazing" he nods and turns to his brothers "Dont you think it would be amazing Alex?" he ponders his question thinking it might be dumb as his brother asked about flying first but he only shook out his mane wandering over to Adalyn "Mother why do i look like you while the others are white?" he ponders this long and hard but being proud to be who he is "I am the only one who had black like you" His eyes are on her now full of questions and wonder
Adalyn suddenly looked down at Titan who had wandered over to her and smiled at him "It makes you unique Titan you and your brother are all unique in your own ways" she bends down and fuffles his mane smiling "You will grow up to be strong and proud like your parents but you must never fall prey to the evil ones who walk this land..Never bend to there level..That goes for all of you" her eyes are distant as she thinks of her past but then she turnes to each foal and in turn looks them in the eyes as if to make a silent promise

His mother and fathers responses made him think for several minutes on the life of flying versus non-flying. He liked being able to walk around and explore the lands just fine, but the thought of flying and being able to see everything and have the choice to decide on whether or not he wanted to get closer was one thing that really drew him to it. "I like walking just fine." He said to his father finally. "And maybe it isn't, but until I do fly I won't know for sure." Alexandre said as he looked over at his brother with compassion. "Damir might not have wings but at least he looks looks like you. And even Titan has your tail." He said with a smile before looking back at Pavitra. "I think each of us has something we wish we could have that the other does have." His wings fanned out around him as he stretched a little.
"Evil creatures?" Alexandre asked with a curious look on his face, now turning his attention fully on his mother. "Do they not look like us?" He asked, tilting his head to the side in confusion. That's obviously what she must have meant when she said creatures. Unless she meant that they looked like them but were so different in lifestyle that they might as well be a whole new species. Alexandre smiled as he looked at the love his parents shared. He then changed his expression to that of disgust as he wanted to put up the front that the ooie-gooey love they had was awful. However, it gave him comfort knowing that his parents were obviously in love.
As Titan asked why he had the black hair Alexandre found himself returning to his earlier statement that each one had something that the other probably admired about the other. He admired Titan for his black hair, their fathers tail, and his tail. While Damir seemed to have the multi toned body like his mother, a tail like his father, and a horn like him too. While he on the other hand had none of those. Not that he didn't like the things he did have, he just liked the things his brothers had in traits more.
