Ever played the game Murder? It may have been called something different, but there's a good chance you have. How it works in real life, is you are dealt a card which determines what you are. There will be a killer hidden among the group and each round somebody dies until the group figures out who is the killer and kills him/her instead.
I always enjoy this game when I play, and it's not hard to convert into a game for forums. Since it's close to Halloween, it seemed appropriate to try it out. I tried doing this last year, but hopefully more people will join this time.
Rules: 1. You will PM me if you want to join, and if you would prefer to be listed as one of your OCs rather than your canon character, then tell me. There is no limit to how many people can join this game. However, I will be starting this on the 20th, given enough people have joined. Join while you can. 2. I will use RNG to determine what role you get and then inform you. 3. You will KEEP WHAT YOU ARE A SECRET. 4. I will narrate the story for you and you will post once dictated, if you desire to. 5. Do NOT whine if you die. This is a game. 6. RP isn't required, but fell free to casually do so. Your characters will be in the narration and be the ones dying, after all. Anything you RP can affect things in the narration. However, this is obviously NOT canon. 7. Feel free to casually post/RP amongst yourselves until the game begins.
Roles: Narrator: This is me. I will relay what happens at the beginning and end of each round. Killer: This will be the hidden killer of the group. This person or persons will report to me and tell me who he/she/they killed. Once all killers are dead, the game ends. Killers are encouraged to be creative. Detective: The hidden detective(s) will tell me who they think the killer is and I will tell them if they are correct or not. Detectives must be careful, even when they know who the killer is. If they accuse somebody and don't get the vote majority, it could be light's out for good. Doctor: This person will choose one person who cannot be killed that round. The doctor cannot save him or herself.
Game Progression: Once I have distributed the roles, I will officially start the game and allow you to continue conversing. Then, I will narrate the end of the day, where it is suggested you go to sleep. (This will be noted as the end of the round, once we passed the beginning) However, you can continue RPing as desired until the next round. Next, I will await word from The killer(s), detective(s) and the doctor. I will then narrate the start of the next round and say who has been killed. You all will then have the chance to deliberate and say who you think the killer is. If there is an accusation, a vote will be held, and if most people agree, that person will be killed. If there is no accusation, then I will end the round and await again for word on those with special roles. The game will continue in that way until only the killer(s) is left, or until all killers are dead.
And that's about it. It's not complicated at all. Again, PM me if you want to join. I hope you do. This isn't really a game for prizes, but I'll probably give something out to some people for the heck of it, depending on what happens in the game.

Characters: Jaren - Hero of Justice... or Coldblooded Assassin? Only the cow suit knows. Wallace - Let's just hope he finds his way to the game... Oujay - Will his powers of invisibility save him from assassination? Legault - Hopefully him actually being an assassin won't create too much of a bias... Ephraim - Certainly never murdered his sister. Nope. Certainly not. Blossom - Her husband is DEEEEAAAAD. Enailios - Perhaps he can forge a way to stay alive. Dietrich - ...Yeah, we're going to have to lock the liquor cabinet. Nasir - He seems friendly enough. [Don't know how I feel about that tail, though...] Sunil - In the words of legendary Ledreak, methinks somebody might try and "POP DAT p***y". Bozo - ...What the fluff?! Now this thing has killer written all over it. Aruna - She's got quite a grip, you probably don't wanna get wrapped up in her. Or then again, maybe you do... ;D Sue - If she dies, Rath kills you. Nuff said. Rin - Aw, what a cute little b- ...g- ... ...person... Vanessa - Aaaand cue the skirt blowing wind! ... ...Yeeeeeah. Innes - Careful, his arrow is sharp. [Just not as sharp as mine] Vaida - N-no.. that's okay. We don't need your meatball platter for dinner. REALLY. IT'S OKAY. Ninian - Helloooooo dancer. Iris - Who... who is she talking to...? ._.

Also will the killers know who the other killers are? That would bring more stagey in to the game as the killers could work together to misdirect the detectives. Or perhaps the killers could work against one another killing each other or framing them.

If there happens to be more than one killer, they will know each other, in order to agree on killing the same person. Only one person can die each round from the killer(s).
The deadline was tentatively placed at the 20th, because I was unsure how many people would wish to join. Since there seems to be a bit of interest, I will agree to start the game earlier if the game gets 15 players. It currently has 13.

As promised, I will officially start the game now. Please congregate at your leisure in here, while I do the RNG. It was truly a sour day in Learania. In the country, far off from other civilization, people had gathered. Some may have been invited, perhaps others were on patrol nearby. The rest probably sought refuge from the violent approaching storm. Whatever the irrelevant case was, they had ended up together in a manor. And they were stuck there. A loud bang resounded as the butler quickly shut the front door. Drenched, he strolled into the room where the group was located and bowed his head before speaking. "The weather is getting worse. I'm afraid you are all stuck here for a while. The Master has graciously allowed you to stay the night. Rooms shall be made for you all, and though it be late, a meal should be waiting in the dining hall for anybody who may be hungry." He bowed his head again. "If you'll excuse me." With that, he departed the room, allowing the group to talk amongst themselves.

Wallace Wallace shakes the water off of his lack of hair "I don't know how I got here are where I am but I am hungry. So let's go eat!" With that he goes off into the room where the smell of food is strongest, and amazingly he doesn't get lost on the way.

"Fantastic," deadpanned Legault, sighing and eyeing the torrent of rain keeping them trapped in the manor. He wasn't even sure who most of these people were - certainly, some of them looked shady. And Vaida looked as unpleasant as ever. Still, he figured there were worse places to be trapped in than a fancy manor. He didn't plan to steal anything (unless of course he really couldn't resist), so it would probably be just an uneventful stay with good food and a warm bed. Not a bad deal for free, certainly.
"Well. I think I'll follow General Wallace's lead, then," murmured the purple-haired assassin, striding past the other guests. He didn't even consider that perhaps Wallace didn't know where he was going...just like old times.

Oh, goodness. It really was raining hard. She had only been on the way back from a mission when that rain had started, light at first, but by the time she had taken refuge in this manor, encouraged in by the friendly butler, she was soaked through to the bone. Blossom nodded slowly and sat down against the wall, removing her gloves and stockings to wring them out before pulling them back on. She didn't have anywhere better to put them for now, at least. The boots stayed near the front door, water already dumped.
"This really is a beautiful manor..." Blossom breathed, taking in the elegant room with wide-eyed awe.

Man, that rain came out of no where. Ephraim patted himself down to the point where he stopped dripping in water (wringing out parts of his clothes, but there were other people present so...everything stayed on him). Even his pants were soaked to the core but....yea we're not going to get to that. He'll just have to deal with being slightly cold. The butler of the house was kind enough to allow them to stay at the very least.
"..Shall we proceed to the dining hall then? It seems that's where everybody is going" addressing to anybody who heard him.

Oh great, of all the luck it starts raining hard while he's outside. The one night he decided just to take a little stroll. Oujay along with everyone else inside the mansion were pretty much drenched. He looked around as he noticed many of the faces and also didn't recognize some faces either. It seems as though everyone will be here for a while as the bulter noted to them. The swordsman looked around and was astounded by the interior. It doesn't seem so bad to stay here for a night.
Right, try to get as much water out of his clothes so he doesn't catch a cold. Removing his clothes was out of the option so he just tried to pat down and squeeze the water while he wore it. It wasn't doing that great of a job, but it does get it done. With that being finished, food did seem like a very appetizing idea. "It seems so," he replied to Ephraim's statement and started walking to the dining hall himself

Of all the possibilities that could have happened today, it just had to be Sunil's one weakness: water. Yes, curse you clouds with your copious amounts of H20, with your electrons and hydrogen bonding to form water droplets and then tearing open to dump all that built-up fluid on the masses below. Curse you a thousand times, and may a giant vacuum suck away the rainclouds.
... Sunil was entirely lost concerning the previous paragraph. What the hell was that? So much rambling that it kinda looked like science but at the same time looked like a bunch of nonsense. It made his head hurt. What is science? What the hell was a vacuum?
And he was wet from the rain.
He cowered in a corner of the room, assuming the fetal position as he rocked back and forth. He was surrounded on all sides by his mortal enemy, and he would be stuck here until it went away. He was a trapped rat... err... cat. The feline had half considered shifting to his Laguz form to shake off all the water, but that wouldn't be nice. They were in such a fancy manor, with such fancy things that it made him feel even poorer than he should have been. Which frankly, he was broke. So very poor.
However, hunger soon got the best of him as his stomach rumbled. It had been how many days now since he had a decent meal? And it seemed like there was food being served in the dining hall. Food. Glorious food. Empty tummy.
... Maybe the deliciousness in the next room would warm him up and raise his spirits.
The cat slowly got up onto his feet and slowly walked towards where the others seemed to be going.

Argh, that storm was not what he needed. He was not a fan of the heavy storm days, and yet here was one, and he was in it. With a manor in sight, he went there, deciding that it was best to take refuge there till the storm died over.
Sure enough, the butler that came in told them that they would be stuck there for sometime thanks to the storm. They would have rooms, and at least some cover from the rain. Keeping his hammer to his shoulder, he decided to take a look around. The place seemed nice, but looks could always be deceiving.
He took a look at the others that had joined. For the most part, they didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary. There was that girl that had visited his shop sometime ago. Other than her, he didn't know anyone there. When he heard a comment about going to the dining room, he nodded. "That sounds like a good idea. Maybe from there we can get our minds off that storm."

What are horrible day to travel. Aruna despised slithering through mud and puddles. She didn't mind the fact her clothes became clingy because her normal fashions included form fitting garments. However, they chilled her skin with their touch. Luckily the nagini arrived before the rain had picked up into the raging storm it was now.
Aruna let out a disappointed sigh after the butler announced the condition outside. She was trapped here until this damn weather cleared up. At least the manor wasn't run down. Actually it happened to be quite the opposite. But she would miss her darling Ganon and the warm nest of blankets they shared in the Hostess Club.
From her coiled position close to nearest heat source, the scaly woman searched for faces she recognized.
