║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ ║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ Kiran nudged open the wooden door with her hip, since her hands were both full with bags. She carried three bags with her into her new room. One was a black and yellow duffle bag that was full of books, religious icons, formal attire, and insense. Another was a suitcase that was full of her casual clothes, her uniform, toiletries, and other essentials. And the third bag was a brown satual that held all her school supplies. Kiran came in and dropped the bags on the bed. A sigh of relief escaped her mouth as she felt the weight leave her arms. Thanks to her decreasing health and poor diet, Kiran was not very muscular. In fact she was very thin. Not life-threateningly underweight, but still kinda lanky.
Kiran began to set up her room in he way she had it back in India. She placed the different idols of her culture's gods and godesses around the room, with candles and insense stands next to them. Kiran heard a scratching noise from her suitcase. She quickly remembered that her little tiger was in there and unzipped it. The small feline sprang out and pawed at the strings attached to her hoodie. I'm sorry Bageira. I almost forgot that you were in there. She said softly as she strocked it's head lovingly. Kiran remembered when she had first gotten Bageira. She wasn't the one who had found the little creature. It was actually her younger siblings of whom she had become gardian of. She had been cooking dinner for them when the three children came running in with an injured tiger cub. Apperently they had found it all by itself. Kiran took pity on the poor animal and helped nurse it back to health. After that, the tiger just became the family pet. Her younger sister suggested the name Bageira, like the panther from the Jungle Book. They all agreed to give the tiger that name and the animal didn't really seem to care either way.
After she was accepted into the school, Kiran had decided to move her little family with her. She arranged for her siblings to stay in different hostels during the week and then she would care for them after school and on weekends. Her siblings told her to take Bageira so that she wouldn't be lonely. Kiran starred longingly at the tiger that was in the middle of hunting a fly. A soft smile broke out on her face. I'll see them soon. We'll all go to the park on Saturday. This is a lot safer place for them to be. They'll get a good education. Kiran said as if she was still trying to convince herself.

║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ ║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ Kiran struck a match, lighting the small flame. She let the fire lick the end of her insense sticks until they started to burn, letting off a scent of cinnamun. The sweet smell wafted through the room. Kiran clapped her hands together and closed her eyes smiling. She stood in front of a statuette of the goddess Sita. She had finished unpacking all her belongings and was now enjoying some free time. Bageira was still on the hunt for the fly that had escaped the small tigers claws. Kiran breathed in and out slowly. In through the nose, out through the mouth. She chanted in her head as she began to clear her head of negative thoughts. She took a seat on a mat that she had laid out, crossing her legs. Her hands were still together and her feet layed unmoving on the side of her knees. She often did yoga. It helped keep her flexable and calm. Medatating also helped as well.
After a some time of calm and peaceful medatating, Kiran grabbed her sitar and plucked the the strings, as a soft melody drifted from the instrument into the silent air. She played some of the tunes that she would preform for her siblings before bed. Although she knew it was impossible, she hoped that they knew she was playing their song and would sleep better. The insense continued to burn away and a slim stream of smoke imunated from it.
Her fingers danced along the steel strings as the song progressed. Bageira had given up his hunt and settled down next to her and was quietly sleeping. He was curled up in a fuzzy orange ball up against her leg. His rising and falling back from his breath was in rythem to her music. The tune almost made her want to sing, but she feared that people would not be so happy with that.
Kiran loved the way the light reflected off her instrument. The sitar was a lovely golden brown colour and shimered and glowed undernieth the light fixture of her dorm room. Thoughts of the day floated through her head. She had a terrible time at the airport. It took her and her siblings 29 hours to fly from India to here. Then it took another 10 hours to get out of custems. It didn't help that the airport had lost their luggage, meaning that they would have to wait for the next flight to come in, hopefully baring their things. Kiran didn't understand. In India, the airports had very little security. They checked your things and asked for passports, but that was it! Here, it was insane. Kiran nearly brokeone of the security guy's arm when he said that he needed to pat down her siblings just incase. And after getting her bags pawed through, her siblings and herself molested by security and lost luggage, they were finally able to leave the god forsaken place. Note to self; don't fly on an airplane ever again!

William Kirkland Sophmore and ready to learn! William silently walked around the dark school. The slight clanks of his pet cages and suitcases made him fear someone would come and scold him for the racket he made as he passed multiple dorms. It's not like it was the first time it had happened before though. He flipped his map open and looked where his is dorm was. "Dorm 18, huh?" He mummered as he continued walking.
As William came closer to his dorm, he heard music through the one of the dorms. His dorm. One of his sheep started to slightly growl as the music got louder. He took a peek at his map once again and saw that he wasn't alone. "Heeeellloooo~ 'nyone home~?" He said as he knocked softly on the door, hoping he didn't disturb his fellow dorm friend.

║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ ║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ Kiran heard the door open and a voice that followed. Her head turned slightly so that she could see what she guessed was her roommate. The indian girl got to her feet and turned to get a better look at the boy. He was kinda tall with blonde hair. Kiran set down her sitar. Hello. My name is Kiran Sharma. I guess we are roommates. She said calmly and serene. A faint smile layed on her lips. Bageira had once again awoken and was nuzzling her ankle. The small tiger smelled a sheep and it dashed toward the cage that held the fuzzy animal. In one swift movement, Kiran bent down, scooping up Bageira and held him tightly so that he could not get at the other boy's pet. अपने आप को व्यवहार करते हैं। She muttered to the tiger in her arms. अपने आप को व्यवहार करते हैं। - Behave yourself ~ Hindi

William Kirkland Sophmore and ready to learn! William was startled as the door opened. He looked at his roommate. She was beautiful and had covered the room with arrays of antiques that were most likely hers. He returned a wide smile before he almost tripped over as a small tiger came pouncing onto one of his cages. Before he could have said anything, his roommate scooped it up and held it in her arms. "T-thank ya! Ya saved little Lucy here!" He looked down at the cage in which a little, young sheep was, still a bit shocked from the sudden attack. "Oh, I forgot ta ask what yer name was..." William softly said and raised his hand up to shake hers.

║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ ║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ Kiran shook the man's hand. He seemed bright and cheerful. Don't mind Bageira. He'll probably be friends with your sheep bye tomarrow. In all the tigers in India, I have the friendlist one of all. Kiran petted the animal in her arms as it purred lightly against her strokes. Kiran. What is your's? Her accent was very thick. While she spoke english perfectly, Kiran grew up in India, so getting rid of it wasn't going to be any small feat. I hope you do not mind the figures. I am kinda religious so they are a bit of a nessesity. If they bother you, I can move them.

William Kirkland Sophmore and ready to learn! "Ah, it's fine! Bageria will be great friends with Lucy and Kiwi, I'm sure off it." William set his pet cages on the floor to ease the weight he was carrying. "Kiran... Sounds beautiful. My name's William Kirkland. And don't worry about tha figures, I'm perfectly fine with 'em around." The figures reminded him of the carvings he used to make when he was younger. "May I come in? Lucy and Kiwi are 'bout ta fall asleep on me."

║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ ║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ Kiran smiled at him. Oh, yes come in! She said letting him in. Do you need any help with your bags? Kiran asked. She was glad that he was okay with the figures. There was no way that she was actually going to move them. They were very importent in her culture and religion. She looked at the bird. Kiran was used to sheep. They were in India as well, but the bird was something completely new to her. She had never seen something like that. May I ask what kind of bird that is? She asked looking up at William.

William Kirkland Sophmore and ready to learn! "No thank ya. I don't want ta cause ya any trouble because it's my first day." William gently laid his suitcases in an empty spot in the dorm and opened Kiwi's cage. "This little fella is actually just like her name. A kiwi bird. Her kind is mostly found back at my home though, so there aren't many in other places." He pet her gently and she chirped every now and then. "Ya want to pet 'er? I promise she doesn't bite."

║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ ║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ Kiran looked at the small bird. She hesitated a bit but ended up nodding. It was a pretty bird. Kiran had seen many strange and wonderful animals in her home. She reached out and gentaly stroked the bird. It's feathers were very soft. She's very beautiful. In my country, our birds are very colourful. It doesn't help them much since they usually end up being someone's dinner. She said as she continued to pet the bird.

William Kirkland Sophomore and ready to learn! William chuckled softly as Kiwi chirped in delight. "Poor birds... If they weren't so tasty, there would been thousands of those beauties around." William remembered about Lucy again. She was asleep in the same corner of the large cage that she was in, laying on her right side. 'Poor little Lucy, she's been tired since tha long trip over here. 'etter keep tha noise down.' "Kiran, if ya don't mind me askin', how is your country like?" He whispered as he sat by Lucy's cage.

║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ ║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ Kiran didn't take her eyes of the little bird that she stroked. Even Bageira was beginning to nuzzle it affectionately. He figured if he wasn't allowed to eat it he might as well have a few new playmates. Her dark eyes looked up at William when he asked about her country. Kiran thought for a second and shrugged. It's very hot there and there is a lot of disease. But very cultural and has some of the most beautiful sights. She said remembering her days there as a little girl. How about you? What is your country like?

William Kirkland Sophomore and ready to learn! "Your home sounds great if ya ask me. Except that disease part though..." William imagined it in his head. Giant forests with abundant amounts of animals and trees, cities full of friendly, welcoming people. He smiled at the thought. "My home? ...Well it's cool and rains a lot most of the year. There are also alotta festivals and sports held from foreign immigrants that share their culture with us too!" William remembered the times he spent with the citizens. He would run around in the grassland with the children, feeling the breeze rush through his hair and hunt for the Maori clan, keeping them from starvation. 'Good times, good times...'
William came back to his senses as Lucy yawned from her short nap. "Ya wanna come out, little fella?" He cautiously unlocked the cage, hoping Lucy wouldn't run out of the cage like she usually did. She instead hopped onto William's lap and yawned again, giving of what seemed to be a slight smile to Bageria

║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ ║▌██████║▌█████████████████████████║▌█████║ Kiran listened to his explaination of his country. That also sounds nice. She said. Bageira approched the sheep on William's lap. It rubbed up against the fluffy animal and purred softly. It didn't take much for the little tiger to become friends with something. Kiran laughed a little. All the stories that she was told as a child about tigers were completely disproven by her furry companion. She knew that it was a good thing for Bageira to be comfortable with the other animals staying in the room with them. She had feared before that he would be lonely without her siblings there. But now, all her fears were gone with Bageira warming up to his new roommates.
Do you have any siblings? Kiran asked. She took a seat on the floor and crossed her legs. Her long braid ran down her back as she looked up at the blonde teen.
