Okay how Ren had gotten all the way back here was a mystery. She knew this place very well as for the few months after she had been kicked out of her home Xesani raised her here. Perhaps it was Ren feeling nostalgic after all this time. After all Xesani had finally gone her own way and some how she had lost Kuari for a while. Then when she was in the midst of exploring the vast reaches of the world again, after all Ren did not get lost it was beyond her and very dishonorable, she had bumped into walker. Walker was her very silly younger brother who was the first one in centuries not to have cat ears, then again her mother didn’t have cat ears and so what did her family expect. So after checking up with him and making sure she watched walker grow up safely. After all that kit was never going to find his way home and Ren was still on her mission so she couldn’t go home, not that she was very inclined to at the time. It was perhaps why she had ventured back here; a run down place in the middle of nowhere. However the bamboo was nice and she loved the garden with all the Asian flowers and especially the pond. Ren did admit she had a thing for lotus flowers. It was the only place for miles which grew them. They reminded her of home where lotus flowers where everywhere. Suddenly Ren clicked her tongue. Well now what was she supposed to do? Well the universe liked throwing her weird things. She was sure something would happen soon.

Mirage hadn't left the desert in a long, long time, constantly around a tribe that she felt over-whelmed being near. She had said she'd join it one day but now... she didn't really think she'd fit in. Her father just had even more kids, and now she had almost a herd of siblings, only two being related to her mother. Sometimes.... she wanted to just say she didn't want to join the tribe. But she loved her father, she didn't want to hurt him.
So, after her new sisters growing up, she had left the borders and slipped out to explore. This was a luxury she feared loosing if she left the tribe. As she traveled she came upon a garden, unsure what those beautiful flowers were. Yet, she loved the scent, licking a petal lightly.
"Ow!" She yelped when she felt a sting on her paw, ears flicking back as she spotted a...stinger? Had she been stung? Ew. That hurt! And she couldn't get it out! Whining slightly, she attempted to bite the thorn, though failing.

Yep leave it to the universe to throw something at her. It sounded like a fox, after all only a few creatures made that type of yelp when they had injured themselves. However the lack of fighting sounds proved it was probably a result of ignorance or stupidity. Well Ren wasn’t really the sentimental type and sitting here looking at flowers in the pond was all very nice and all but it was better to check on the intruder in her territory.
Walking over towards the source of the noise she popped her head through some of the brush to see what it was. Yep it was another fox just like Ren had supposed. From the way the new comer was looking at her paw Ren would say the injury occurred on the foot. Hmm maybe add clumsy to the list? Ren raised an eyebrow briefly making note that the new comer was as bright as walker seemed to be only with ren’s black. Luckily ren had more muted rainbow colors then the vixen in front of her.
“What are you doing here?” Ren asked maneuvering herself out of the brush. They could be hostile but then again Ren was a fighter and hardly backed down from a challenge. Even though it was pretty obvious the other vixen didn’t have fighting intent.

Her head whipped around when she heard a voice, ears flicking to see a rainbow and black fox... or cat? She wasn't sure. She had cat ears so... Mirage was struck silent in admiration, having never seen a fox with cat ears before. As she watched the vixen her dark eyes flicked between her stinging paw and the vixen, then realized she had asked a question.
"I'm taking a break." She murmured back. "From the desert." She glanced about, wincing as the stinger made her paw throb. "I found this place, it's different then my ho-" Was it her home? "The desert."
She eyes the other vixen, then tilted her head slightly, raising her paw. "Can you take this out?"

Yep, queue the staring. However Ren was pretty used to it even though a small twitch/swish of her tail and jerk of her ears showed her slight irritation. Seriously you would think she was the only one out there. Well then again Ren was also a wereleopard. So honor dictated she should be nice about the whole staring. Then again Ren didn’t really follow that part too closely.
Hmmm desert then. This was pretty far away from any desert. Ren briefly wondered if the new comer was ever planning to go back. Then again what business was it of Ren’s. None so back to more important things, “hmm pretty far away from home then” Ren said a bit roughly. Nope Ren wasn’t too big on manners, although the interesting slip of the tongue was certainly something to remember at perhaps a later date.
Hmm the flowers had bit back had they? Well ignorance was the answer then. With a huff Ren walked over and quickly removed the splinter. After all Walker had definitely gotten his fair share of them over the time he had grown up.

"Ah. Yea." She nodded at that question, twitching when the fox moved to touch her paw, allowing her paw to flip over and wincing when the splinter was taken out, though she didn't squeak. Glancing back up at the flowers she looked back at the vixen, head tilting.
Judging by the earlier flick of the tail this fox had not enjoyed her staring. Observant as always she licked her paw, lapping up some blood, and then raised her head. "I'm sorry for staring." She said, always good with her manners... Well... usually. "You are pretty, I was admiring you." As well as blunt. Glancing up at the flowers she moved closer to touch one.
"What are these called?"

Hmm luckily this new comer wasn’t too much of a chatter box, not that she could handle chatter boxes. Walker was bit of one as a kit and Kuari who was very child like also had been a bit of a chatterbox at times. With a flick of her paw she sent the offending thorn flying off into the bushes before leveling her gaze back at the vixen in front of her.
“Hmph” was the response Ren decided to dignify the girl that she was listening. It was like she said she was used to the staring, foxes tended to stare at her. It was their problem they had to gawk at anything different from them. “Tch, its fine it’s not like it hasn’t happened before.” Then it was turn for Ren to raise an eyebrow. Well she didn’t get that often. However Ren supposed the girl had good taste.
“Those, ah those are an Asian flower called a lotus” Ren replied.

"They are beautiful."
Mirage sniffed the flower, looking over at the vixen. Nodding at her "hmpf" and the next sentence she said she glanced back at the flower, blinking. "Did I bother you?" She asked, glancing back over. "I thank you for assisting me, but, I didn't mean to distract you. Is this your garden?" She asked, impressed. Had this girl made this garden herself?
Glancing back at the flowers she picked one gently, then a few more. Carefully she wound them together into a bracelet, slipping it onto her wrist.

When the vixen mentioned they where beautiful a rather interesting smile crossed Ren’s features. It was obvious Mirage had never been to Asia before. Lotus flowers along with many others had some times more interesting meanings. “Hmm I suppose they are,” still with the dry tone. Well Ren didn’t really care for such things as manners.
It was her garden. She hadn’t planted everything in the garden. However a small section of it was hers. It was passed down in her family and every oldest female added to the garden. They didn’t have to take care of it or stay and tend the garden, just add to it. It was Ren’s personal taste to come back. “hmph trust me if you were really bothering me I would have never come to help. I am not so bored or so nice hearted to help people when it interferes with things” Ren replied.

"You sound like me." She mused back lightly, nodding as she touched another flower, gently. "As a kit I was really easy-going and sweet, but now I prefer to keep to myself. I only get involved if something interests me, but, not much does anymore." She had always had a sense of feeling incomplete, as if she needed to find something, just one little thing. What was it she was seeking? Not her family, she had thought it was them and yet here she was, avoiding them. So what was it?
A home? Didn't she have one? Two? Maybe they weren't the kind of home she was seeking... Either way... She smirked lightly, glancing back at the rainbow vixen. Maybe she was just strange for feeling incomplete.

Ren would say part of her personality from her kithood still remained. However it was hardly the rainbow spotted foxes problem to point out personalities. “Hmph, except for I was never easy going and sweet as a kid. I’ve always had this personality. After all it’s suited me quite well” Ren replied and crushed the urge to flip part of her hair back in place. She finally decided not to because it would add a more haughty tone to her statement and in all fact hair in her face didn’t bother her. She just ignored it.
“Hmph, that leads for a pretty boring existence after a while. You should actively go searching for something every once in a while keep your skills sharp.” Ren stated. You never knew when a fox like Ren was going to be in a bad mood and decide to fight you. Plus just staying uninvolved got you no where. Either eventually you where dragged in where you didn’t want to go or you went out and seized things for yourself.

"I do have an interest." She responded with, shaking her head. "It's the reason I'm alive right now. But I can't find the answer to it." She shook her head, cracking her shoulders. "I can't find it, so, I don't care for other things. It nags at me to much, other events and matters just run over my head due to the consistent nagging that I need to find something."
Briefly she sighed. "Perhaps I am sick." This wasn't a question, just a gentle muse. "Perhaps I need to find someone that can give me medicine."

Ren just raised an eyebrow and once again wondered what was with her and attracting rather interesting characters. First she ended up with Kuari, and then her brother was a bit interesting as well, finally now she had a girl who was trying to find the meaning of life? Or at least her life. Perhaps it could be something else but really why was it any of Ren’s business she was hardly a psychiatrist “well if its about life, you aren’t supposed to find an answer until many years down the road. You either are born with a sense of it or you try your best at everything else to find what comes naturally” Ren huffed. Seriously she was being way too nice for her own good.

"Not life." She shook her head, eyes narrowing at the flowers. "No one will understand life or their own. They are an idiot if they think their simple mind can comprehend it." Her voice seemed to lower at this. "No. I was struck with a feeling I need to find something or someone, and until I find them or it I will never stop dreaming or wanting it." She looked at the cat like vixen.
"The answer to life is something to large for our brains to grasp. Even I would be an idiot if that was what I wanted, but, it's not."

“This isn’t necessarily accurate. You might not understand all of life. However some lucky foxes are able to figure out some of what their life was supposed to be or at least some of what life should be.” Ren stated with a slightly put out tone. “Well excuse me for getting the two ideas’s mixed up. Personally it looks like your trying to find yourself a family. Now before you start going off again this doesn’t exactly mean blood relatives it’s more a place you know is completely yours. “Ren knew what it was like to be out there searching. She was still on the mission from her family. “Once again not necessarily. Many foxes spend countless hours trying to decide what their life is for. Sure I find it a bit foolish and they can be using their time for better things but to some extent as long as that’s what makes them happy”
