Talaitha stretched and looked around her. She wanted to run and hunt, but she had not seen game for nearly two days. The lioness had gone longer without food before, but it still was not pleasant to think that by the time she saw anything to hunt she might not have the energy to get it. She frowned as she spotted what appeared to be a hare and decided to take her chances with it.
The lioness made short work of hunting it down and found herself with two hares by the time she got done chasing the things. Hare might not be something she liked to eat, but she was not going to get much better around here. She was pretty sure she was on the wrong side of a prideland or something with how there did not seem to be anything of size to hunt and a lot of scents that said that should have been otherwise.
Tal finished the hares and left only a bit of them laying as she took a bit of time to rest. It would keep her going for now, but she really did wish she had better prospects of food right now. She groomed her fur clear of any blood, and just as she was getting ready to take a nap, she perked up her ears and swiveled them toward what sounded like a rock shifting. Nothing more came and she wondered if maybe she was just being paranoid.
