Alexandre ran quickly from where he had left his brother Damir near the cave which their parents had chosen to raise them far away from the influences from the outside world and it's dangers. Or so he suspected. He was heading through the light forest which was filled with large rocks from the mountainish area in which him and his family resided. As he continued through the forest he made sure to leave a direct path back to his home, lest he got lost. Alexandre knew it wouldn't be long before his parents found out he was gone and would more then likely be extremely worried that something bad had happened to him. Despite not wanting to disappoint his parents he also couldn't resist the urge to explore the lands that called out to him.
He has also begun to notice that lately his eyesight was a bit blurry at times. Although, it wasn't very often so he tried his best not to worry to much about it and figured it was normal. However, as he continued along the beaten path he realized that it was proving to be difficult in a unknown scenery. "I can do it!" Alexandre cheered himself on out loud.
After several minutes of walking he came to a open field that had a large pond in the middle of it. He quickly trotted over to the pond and looked at himself. Alexandre was in no way conceited but he did like to look at himself and pick out what parts of himself matched his parents. He saw a awful lot of his father in him due to his white mane and wings, but he saw his mother in his ears, tail and just overall body. Slowly his head raised and his wings flared out. As they stretched out further and further he looked at them, hoping that soon he would learn how to actually use them. To soar above the Kawani lands and look out for those that could not look out for themselves. That was something he dreamed of every night.

 Playing as a Foal.

Isolean had been sleeping soundly for more than a few hours beside her father inside the shelter of the teepee of the human they lived with. A little after midday her father shifted in his sleep and woke her. Slowly she lifted her sleep weary head and looked about her mouth was terribly dry. Carefully so as not to wake him she got to her legs and peaked out the teepee flap. The sun blazed over head she knew it would definitely not be a good idea to go out side . . . but her mouth was soo dry she could almost taste sand. She opened the flap once more with her hoof and mapped out her route from the teepee to the forest. When she frowned at how much direct sunlight she would have to endure her fangs popped out over the edge of her bottom lip. Taking a deep breath to summon courage she took one last look at her father and bolted out for the tree line. The sun hit her back and slowly went from a tingle to a burn by the time she hot the tree line. Once she was safely in the shade of of a large tree she looked to see if it left a rash. Luckily not but if she wound up with one he father would know for sure that she left the safety of the teepee. “I’ll only be gone a moment.” She whispered walking from one patch of shadows to the next toward the lake she knew was nearby. It wasn’t long before she found it but there was someone already there . . . she backed back mostly behind a tree and examined him. He was so crisp white he seemed to exude light himself. For a moment she was super excited about him being her age but . . .from past experience she learned that making friends wasn’t exactly her strong suit. Fangs and being allergic to sunlight made her more than suspicious to anyone that had ever heard of a thing called a vampire. Her Father told her that she wasn’t, and that they didn’t exist . . .But that was a really hard argument to make to any one she had met thus far. Nervously she bit her lower lip and tried to sneak unnoticed to the shaded half of the lake hopefully so she could get a drink and leave before he noticed. All the while hiding her tiny fangs just incase.

Nothing had prepared him for a chance encounter with another soquili today, let alone another foal his age. It was by chance that he had even noticed her off in the distance sneaking away from him to the safety of the trees that came all the way to the pond. As he watched her walk he noticed there seemed to be a black design around her eyes, which he couldn't really make out. His blurry vision really wasn't helping him out in this either. But as he continued to watch her he noticed her jet black hair and pale coat. And even odder, her back legs had a intricate design on them as well. He found himself intrigued by this filly. Intrigued enough to want to know who she was and just what she was doing so close to his home.
Alexandre walked quietly over towards the filly, not sure if she had noticed he was there or not and that he was coming to greet her. Once he had reached her he lightly bowed his head and bent one leg to greet her. "Hello there." He said politely as he rose back to his feet. "My name is Alexandre and I live not to far from this spot." He said with a smile. "Who are you? Where do you live?" Alexandre asked curiously, wanting to know something about this unique female. Despite his mothers closed nature, Alexandre was extremely open to others. He was far to trusting which had thankfully not gotten him into to much trouble, but his family knew (unbenounced to him) that this would end up changing one day if he didn't change his act soon. After all, not much good can come from becoming friends with someone first then asking questions later.

She saw him was coming out of the corner of her eye for a moment she almost froze in midstep and contemplated just bolting away before he could get to close. As getting pelted with rocks ( it had happened the last time she had tried to make friends) and enduring sunburn just for a drink of water didn't really sound like fun. Sometimes for all the trouble it caused she wished she really was a vampire at least then some of this might be worth it. She looked about to see if he had anyone else with him not a soul. maybe this time it will be different she mused and smiled (keeping her fangs hidden of course) at him as he made a polite bow before her. She returned with a curtsy as her father had taught her and replied quietly "Were staying not far from here as well right -" she caught herself deciding that telling someone who might start to hate you at any moment the actual direction of your home was a bad idea indeed. "not far in that direction." she added lifting a hoof to point in a different direction. "but only for a little while we move around a lot. My name is Isolean - Isolean Vriends. Its a pleasure to meet you Alexandre. "

Alexandre nodded his lightly as he listened to the female who was apparently named Isolean. He noted her hesitation at telling where exactly she lived which he understood. He himself was very trusting of others, but when his family was involved he tried his best not to compromise their safety. Admittedly he did fail at times though. "You live the opposite way of me." He said as he looked at the direction in which she was referring. "I've never been that far away from my home before." Alexandre replied, returning his gaze to the filly in front of him. "You have pretty legs." He said, not realizing that what he said could be taken entirely different then the way he had meant. "I like their black color and the intricate designs that cover them. Very unique." Alexandre said with a larger smile.
His wings fanned out lightly around his torso as he stretched once more. "What are you?" He asked noticing her lack of wings or uni/ceryeni tail. "I've never met someone that didn't have a tail like mine or unicorn tail like my father and brothers." Alexandre said. Something about this filly made him curious. Maybe it was do to the fact that she was the first soquili he had met outside of his family. Or maybe it was because she was the first girl he had met. Maybe it was a combination of the two. "Are you a only child?" Alexandre asked, wanting to know more about her and her history.

Using one of her back hooves to scratch at her ear casually she smiled in a fashion that was suggestive to a flattered blush. "oh um thank you." she whispered sheepishly. However his next question made her freeze in place. Her breath even froze in her chest. "what are you." For a second panic wracked her Had he seen her fangs or - "I've never seen a tail like that." Her breath came back as a relived sigh and she gave the tail in question a little wag. It was getting longer everyday and required more and more brushing. He continued to speak he certainly had some weighty questions or were they just normal conversation? She wondered. "its just a regular tail lots of soquilli have them but well I Suppose you could say I'm an only child." she shrugged "My father - well not my real father found me found me still in my basket abandoned in the forest. If I have a brother or sister or even real parents I do not know them." for a moment her head hung low but it popped back up quickly as she smiled once more. "I like your wings I wish I had wings I would love to be able to fly away sometimes. And Your coat is so white. I bet your parents have a devil of a time keeping you so clean. Father nearly drives himself insane trying to keep me in order."

He noticed immediately when she froze in her place but decided not to question her. Maybe something he had said upset her a bit. Or maybe she just did that randomly. Alexandre watched as she scratched her ear with her back hoof and found himself even more perplexed at her. "How do you do that?" He asked with slightly widen eyes. "They do?" He asked, meaning it more as a statement. "Well I suppose I need to meet more just like you." He grinned. Alexandre listened closely as she talked about her family situation, feeling slightly sad that he had mentioned it. He didn't know that others might not have a family like he did with other siblings or at least know their parents. At least someone had taken her in though. He thought to himself, spacing out a bit.
Finally he returned his thoughts to the conversation at hand. "I'm sorry you had to go through that." He said as she lightly draped one wing over her body to comfort her. "But I'm glad that you were found by your father!" Stressing the fact that he considered the soquili that adopted her, her real father. Once she started talking about his wings he pulled them back to him as he walked a few inches away and spread them out so she could look at them in greater detail if she wished to. "Thank you! I'm not sure exactly how to use them yet... But one day soon my Da will teach me!" He said excitedly. At her next comment he found himself a little unsure how to answer. "My mother and father don't care to much if we get dirty. They have taught us that we have to make the decision on our own to take care of ourselves on that level." He responded with a nod. "I like to be clean." He said with a cocky grin that was his attempt to make her laugh. "Well he must do a fantastic job because you look devine." Alexandre responded, still smiling.

Admiring his wings while still saying strictly in the confines of the shadows. She scratched her other ear with her other back hoof. "My father is a guardian it's something like knight. So when he does his evening routine after we wake up I join him. Well not for the whole thing of course he's a lot stronger than I am but the streches are my favorite part so I guess it makes me just a tad more limber." she replied but couldn't help but laugh at his grin. Unfortunately as she did so . . . Her lips pulled back in a wide grin to reveal two abnormally long k-9s and a few other shaper teeth. Not enough to mark her as kolona blood and certainly not enough to make her a purewalker but Clearly not those of a simple plant eating soquilli. In fact What was supposed to be a happy face was so over shadowed by these fangs it gave her a somewhat frightening appearance. "oh Alexandre! If only my father felt the same sometimes I feel like all I ever do is- is something wrong?" she asked noticing he was looking at something.

"Hmm... Well maybe I shall have to try it." He said looking at his back legs for a brief moment, managing to look back at her just in time to see her smile. There that smile i--- He though to himself before realizing that her teeth were very sharp and very unlike his. Was this another mystery of these kinds of soquili or was it just her? It took a lot to frighten him but this, this was probably one of the scariest things he had seen in his life. But all at the same time he was curious as to why she had fangs and if she realized that it wasn't normal to have them. Or at least from what he had seen from his family. "Are those....." He gulped loudly. "Are those fangs?" Alexandre asked with wide eyes, body frozen stiff.
He hadn't even really noticed the rest of what she had said, maybe at this point didn't even care. "I.... I..." He said unsure of what to say next. Isolean didn't seem to be the evil type that her mother was afraid of them coming in contact with but, her teeth. Her teeth were just. They were just wrong. If he was willing to be honest about it, they were wrong to him. But then again he found himself unwilling to believe that she could be a dark creature. She just... It wasn't fair! His first friend and she might be a evil creature. He needed to know. "Isolean.... Are you.... Are those.... Are those normal for your kind?" He asked unsure of how to word it to how he meant it.

The apprehension the all out fear that was apparent now on his features was the story of her life. Quickly as if hiding them would make him forget he had seen them she clamped her offending mouth closed and sealed her lips tightly. Her head lowered slightly and she backed a little further Into the darkness it seemed she was to be forever cursed to lurk in. Then she remembered the words of her father. "you have them too. You know." she said motioning for him to run his tongue along his own teeth to see for him self. Though clearly his were nowhere near like hers. Slightly pointed sure but nothing compared to the Ill purposed killing implements her maw contained. She knew this but chose to make the argument anyway. "yours . . . just aren't as long or as sharp as mine but father says the length of my teeth have nothing to do with the course of my destiny. Good or bad that's my choice to make. He said some of the greatest mares and stallions he's ever met like the troll herd have great tusks. like huge fangs but they are some of the most honorable soquilli anyone could hope to meet." she added even as she spoke it she wasn't sure if she believed it anymore. The thought that maybe she was as evil as some thought her to be always lurked at the back of her mind pleugeing her like some sort of sickness. She then tried to step a bit closer to him perhaps to nuzzle him in a friendly manner. To savor just a little of the friendly moments they had shared to show him . . . to show herself she could be a good soquilli. However he was outside of the shadows. The full sunlight hit her causing her To filch and snarl like a wounded beast pushing her back into the shadows. Under her pale coat on her face and front legs hives began to turn up. They stung and burned quite badly. On top of the pain It made her angry that she couldn't go near him. So barring her fangs she kind of growl shouted and tore at the shaded ground beneath her hooves in a rage. Her temper now out of control she Looked at him looking at her and how perfectly normal he was. She hated him for it and Was that pity beneath his fear she wondered. "What are you looking at!? -Just go away!" she hissed for a moment it seemed like he wasn't moveing fast enough away from her or even at all. "I said leave!" she shouted and snapped her fangs at him threateningly her breath came as growls and snarls. Now she really did look and sound like an angry monster.
((( he can totally run away now or get angry at her and shout back but she will bite him. I don't know if I want her to do that. ))

Alexandre was not one to get easily frightened or just up and run away from someone if they needed something. However, as he looked at her fangs he found himself a little overwhelmed. And then she appeared to have burned from the sun. Was that possible? That was what had upset him. Not only did it not make sense that she couldn't be in the sun but the anger she appeared to have out of the blue made him feel the need to bring in his protective side. While he wanted so badly to help her and comfort her, he was still young and wasn't able to yet understand the world and it's mysteries. As Alexandre quickly turned away from her and moved a couple feet away he turned his head back around, taking a final glance at her. He knew he would never forgive himself for not helping her. And this final look would hopefully satisfy him until he was old enough to have the knowledge to help her, even if it was just to comfort her. After all, she was his first friend. "I'm--- Sorry." He managed to spit out, not sure if she could hear him or not. With that he ran back into the forest and back to his family.

"I'm sorry . . ." He felt sorry for her . . .what else could be more infuriating. She watched him trot off until he was well out of sight beyond the tree line. With his every step further away she felt a mixture of better and worse. Better because he couldn't look at her anymore and worse because he was probably heading back to his family. . .his real family . . .his normal family and she was now alone as per usual. Her knees shook, then gave out. With a flop she fell to the ground she had been tearing at just moments ago. Wearily she placed her hooves over her head to cover her eyes then Gritting her accursed teeth she sobbed to herself. Sometimes it felt the black tear markings around her eyes were a tad to well fitting. Meanwhile the time drew closer to noon and the shadows shrank. Leaving her less and less shadow to hide in and thusly less and less safety.

Recovery woke with a start when his side went cold as it was ussed to the heat of Isolean's small form beside him. Quickly he looked about she wasent there but her tiny tracks went in the direction of the teepee flap. "Isolean!" he called getting his feet beneath him. Out the teepee flap he went Blake laid napping beneath a tree and thesh-ah was sipping from the stream she must have just gotten back from her rounds. "Have you seen Isolean?" he asked them panic riseing with his tone. Both the mares looked about and concluded that no they hadn't at least not since dawn when he took her to bed. He eyed blake suspiciously for a moment. Knowing what that meant she got to her feet and took a step back. Though recovery Desperately wanted someone or something other then his own negligence for his missing daughter it appeared there was nothing and no one to blame it on. "There's no time to waste recovery go look for her that way. Blake you look the other way and I will stay here incase she comes back on her own." thesh-ah directed with nods of her head. "here take this to cover her when you find her it's thick and will keep the sun off." blake said tossing a thick blanket much like her own to him. It landed across his back gently. With a nod he bolted off in his appointed direction. "Isolean!!!" he called at the top of his lungs and dashed off into the tree line.

It didn't take Blake too long to spot a few very faint filly hoof prints in the moss. Sniffing them lightly she detected hint of recoveries scent. "bingo." she chuckled and Fallowed the light trail given as best she could. When she came close enough crying caught her attuned ears. "Isolean." she called gently. There came no reply only more crying so she allowed that to be her guide instead. The tiny filly lay in a disheveled distraught little heap. Bright red sun burns blistered here and there over her upper half. With agile teeth Blake tossed her prized blanket/scarf from her own back over isolean and came to lay down beside her. For a moment she just looked allowing the foal to continue with her weary sobs. Minuets passed but At last blake could resist no longer . . .laughter was the best medicine after all. "Why the long face?" she asked with a playfully grin giving her ears a comical twitch. "get it horse long face?" blake snickered enjoying her clever puns intensely.
