Jeremiah had become obsessed with getting everything just right for his script so he had thrown himself into his work. No longer was he the carefree, happy individual who scoffed at the idea of seriously sitting down and completing his homework. Now, the junior readily did his homework so he could go back to his script. Things were coming much easier for him now and he was almost done. He hoped that by the end of the first draft, he'd never have to see another sheet of paper again.

Who was he kidding? Miah adored writing and was beginning to think he'd realized his life's career path. He was going to be a writer, by God! When Jeremiah's pen touched paper, it was like something was coming alive within him.

But the boy had sorely neglected his friends and every social aspect of his life. He was ready for a break - that's why he was going to that convention he'd heard about. You know - that one where a lot of famous people were going to be. Heck, he'd heard that guy in that one movie with the whip and hat was going to be there. Miah couldn't wait to get his autograph!

Jeremiah went to a few panels on script writing and did a little bit of shopping so he could get some things to have autographed. He then went to stand in the ridiculously long line for that older guy who was a great actor. Miah knew that he would probably laugh, but those movies had meant a lot to him growing up. The character’s dad had been a lot like his own.

Indigo lived for the weekend. Oh man, she loved weekends! They were even better when she didn't have to work. And this weekend she had gotten off because of a convention in town. She'd already gone to see the cast of Space Trek, gotten autographs from everyone, and even a series of pictures! It was great! She'd wandered away from her dad and brother, and saw her movie hero was here! Indiana Harrison! Oh how she swooned for him! So much so that she was actually dressed up like the movie character today. Her indigo hair was tucked up under her hat, and she had a whip at her side as she bounded over to where the panel was... and stared in horror at the line. She started following it back, hoping it wasn't going to be /that/ long. But it just kept going... and going... and going.

When she finally found the end, it was with a sigh as she stepped in line behind a boy, probably about her own age. Now how fast did this line move? Did it even move? She was sort of bouncing in line trying to see the line make any signs of going /anywhere/ but it seemed like nothing was happening.

“Man, when will this line ever end!” Jeremiah groaned as he watched a girl around his age walk up. “This is insane, right? I mean, those guys over at Mister What were quicker than this and they’re like, so popular it isn’t funny.”

Tilting his head, he eyed the girl. “But it’s worth it, don’t you think?”

"Huh?" The boy was talking to her. "Oh man I know! Even Star Journey wasn't this bad. They were really popular too! But I guess it's later now, and more people are here. I bet everything has lines from hell now." She sighed. "Man, I hope that he's not going to leave at a certain time. I really really really want to meet him." She smiled some.

"So you like the Indiana Harrison movies too?" She beamed brightly. "Do you have a favorite?"

“I’m surprised who all they got here, to be honest. Some of my all-time favorite script writers were doing a panel on ways to beat the block. It was the most important thing I learned to day.” Miah told her excitedly. “Especially Jess Wheaton! He changed my life with Fluffy the Monster Killer.”

When she asked about Indiana Harrison, he was ready to propose on the spot. Did he like his movies! Hells yes he did! “My all-time favorite is Raiders of the Lost Temple, but really – any of his movies is worth my well earned money. Except maybe that City of the Glass Skeleton one. Aliens. Really?” He scoffed and earned a few glares from the diehard fans in front of him. “What about you? Any one special movie of his?”
PostPosted: Thu Oct 06, 2011 9:12 pm

"Ooooh, Lost temple was pretty good. But I think I might like Final Religious Journey best. Oh man, no, I don't know. They were all great! I even liked Alter of Impending Disaster. I know people are like "Oh man, why did they give him a little kid sidkick, but come on, they had some wicked cool traps in that hallway when they were going down to the lost city with those voodoo nuts. I mean those spikes from the ceiling? Wicked!" She was getting excited, and a couple people in line turned to look at them. Not like she cared.

"You know... Glass Skeleton might not have been the best, but I think that's because the director is sort of crazy obsessed with aliens. Have you seen his other works? I think over all it was ok I mean they had that awesome battle on the armored jeeps. But the thing with the monkeys? And the son? Yeah no. That's why I only saw it twice in theaters."

Nodding his head vigorously, Miah agreed with her wholeheartedly. "Definitely! I loved Short Stop in it, he was just so adorable and the stuff that he'd say was just too funny not to laugh at."

Jeremiah crinkled his nose at the justification of Glass Skeleton but she did have a point - if he could step away from the craziness that was the director's obsession it may have been okay. "Yeah, I guess I'll have to re-watch it and ignore the aliens. The whole point up to the aliens was okay, I guess. I just wish that they'd done another movie while he was younger. Plus he did a variation of my favorite quote in the movie series - y'know the one about snakes?"

He suddenly thought of his second favorite Indiana Harrison movie - Space Fight. "And we can't forget how much of a loveably cocky b*****d he was in Space Fight. You wanted to punch him and pat him on the back at the same time."
PostPosted: Tue Oct 11, 2011 7:37 pm

Indy thought a moment, and nodded. "I think I know the one. But every time I hear any quote about snakes, I think of Pythons on a jet liner. You know, Jack Samuel going "We gotta get these goddamn pythons off this goddamn jet!" like 10 times. He sort of ruined all snake quotes for me ever. That movie ruined a lot of things though." She shrugged.

"OH! OH MY GOD I loved him in Space Fight! Hans Duo was like... who I would cheat-crush on when I wasn't fawning over Indiana Harrison. Of course when I was little I didn't know they were the same man. But I'd still date either one!" She fistpumped, and flailed her arm around a little.

Jeremiah chuckled at her enthusiasm. “I normally don’t find men attractive, but Indiana Harrison will always be one of the few who I would openly date.” He admitted with a wink. “I don’t know who I’d be without him, y’know? His acting has always led me to want to be that committed to the role.”

"You can love Indiana Harrison and still be straight. That's the magical thing about him." She sighed. "I always wanted to be brave and awesome like him. But really, who doesn't? I never wanted to dress up as anything for Halloween, unless it was from an Indiana Harrison movie. Though I could totally dress up as Hans Duo." She tapped her chin. "Hey, you should dress up as Crunchy! We should totally hang out this Halloween together!"

"That would be amazing!" Miah was now flailing like an idiot in excitement over the idea. "We could go around and make totally asses of ourselves to people who think they're too good for Indiana Harrison." His eyes crinkled wickedly as he continued, "We could even go to a school dance or something fun like that, you know? If you'd want to go with me, it'd be the funniest thing ever. Crunchy dancing with Hans."

"Dude. Dude. Dude. What school do you go to? Cause there's like that prom thing, you know? We could totally dress up for that. ... No, maybe not. I donno. Is it weird that I actually want to wear a dress for prom? Maybe I can make one that looks like Hans Duo's outfit." Her mind was going off on a tangent. Oh, how would she ever get a dress like that? "... I can't even dress up like Princess Lani. My hair is too short."

"Ooooh! That would be so much more fun!" Miah was really getting into their topic of conversation. "It would be so much fun! I wonder what the theme of this year's prom will be." Jeremiah was wiggling all over with excitement that it took him a moment to gather she'd asked him a question. He replied, "I go to Applereach - but don't hold it against me, okay? I know some people hate Applereach but it's the one place I feel like I can be me."
PostPosted: Thu Nov 17, 2011 4:55 pm

Indy started laughing all over again. "I can't hold it against you unless I hold it against myself too." She grinned broadly at him. "I got to Apple too! MAN! Why don't I ever have classes with awesome people like you? I get stuck with all the boring trouble makers who are all 'Wah wah wah no one wants me I'm going to sit in a dark corner and brood at you cause you hate me too.' Or like the people who can't sit still for 5 goddamn seconds and and start climbing on the desks because they think it's cool." She crossed her arms and huffed as the line moved forward.

Jeremiah started to laugh like no one was listening as she said that about the desk climbing. "While it's true about the broody messes, I'm actually one of those people who can't sit still unless I'm really engaged in the the topic." Miah shook his head, but pondered his own question aloud. "You know, neither can I. I mean, I can't believe we haven't bumped into each other before. I've been in a million different clubs and stuff - are you a big club goer?"
