Feo was still feeling empty with his mother's death. He would find himself wandering the lands, not really going anywhere but making sure to keep himself within the boundaries. He sort of kept an eye as to where the Mava'Bunda lands were, but it was quiet...for now.
He let his paws do the guiding, letting his mind miss her. He was happy that Jinamizi was interested in having another litter again. It would be good for him, and his other adult children. Still... there was a hole in his heart.

Angavu needed to get out of her den, she was surrounded by hares and while she didn't hate it, it was hard to constantly listen to the chatter.. and dealing with the constant reminder of recent events. Mnyama and Koko had lost their mother, the others had all lost the matriarch of their little family.. and that was how it was for her family, too.
She was not yet whole from the fighting, she walked with a limp, but she didn't let it stop her. She needed to get up and move around, anyway, if she wanted to heal properly. As she walked, keeping to herself, she wasn't expecting to find anyone else- least of all a lost looking figure of a familiar shade of gold. She didn't hesitate to stare but didn't seem keen on approaching him directly.

You know that strange feeling when you know someone was staring at you? Feo felt a shiver run up his spine, and he turned to notice someone staring at him. Even though he was the son of Shomoro (and she had had a talent of knowing so many of the pride), Feo had never been that social. So he didn't quite know who he was looking at.
"Um....can I help you?" he asked cautiously, not sure if she wanted to talk or was just spacing out and he was the unfortunate end of her eyes.

Angavu's eyes followed Feo, even as he turned and spoke to her. She didn't speak immediately, she seemed to be sizing him up- trying to decide what exactly made him so familiar. It had to be the fur, but how would he be related to Amadi? She would never know unless she asked and she didn't really care enough to ask.
"No, I'm sorry for staring," she said finally, "You look lost, but you certainly don't look out of place."

His ears lowered against his skull. "It's alright." He felt awkward, but why avoid it? "Just adjusting to my mother's death. It's hard....harder than I thought, even though I knew she was old."
His treasure...he had many, but a mother was special, and there since day one. He only hoped that his own children cherished him as much as he did his mother.
"Thanks for asking," he said with a slight smile. "It sounds weird, but this is why I love it here. We're always looking out for each other."

There was a tense moment of silence as she considered exactly what he was saying before everything clicked. He was talking about Shomoro. A lioness around the same age her grandmother had been, though more involved in the pride socially than Memetuka had been. Not so violent circumstances as she recalled but a major loss to the pride.
It also answered the question of his relation to Amadi, he had been Shomoro's grandson.. she was pretty sure, anyway.
"I'm sorry for your loss," she said, taking a shaky couple steps closer, putting a lot of effort into trying not to limp, "The pride has gone through a lot lately, we have to watch out for each other."
She smiled sadly at him.

"Thank you," he said again with a deep bow. "I hope that I never have to see the Pridelands go through another shift like this again."
He wondered if she had been in the fighting, as she seemed to be more off of her feet than a lioness normally would be. It seemed rude to ask, as no one ever expected to be in a battle.
"If you ever need help with anything, I know my family would be willing to help." He was really starting to believe that she was feeling the same as him, if for other reasons.

Rather formal but he was very interesting. He was far from seeming especially social, though. She'd yet to shake the feeling she was intruding- and knowing he was grieving, it probably was the truth and so the feeling was not going to go away.
"I am familiar with your family, I don't doubt their kindness," she smiled, "I am sorry I intruded on your walk."
She was tempted to explain the family they shared, it was a shame her last litter had so much family nearby and saw so little of them.. but this wasn't really the right time or place and it was already awkward enough.

"Oh?" That made Feo sound stupid. "Err, well, my mother was very social, and acted like a mother to all those she encountered, but I can't say that I was as social as she was. It's nice to know that she is thought of well with so many."
He really appreciated it. It was just...how much should he push that? Not much, he thought. Still this did perk him up a bit, and revived the spirit of his mother in him. Maybe he should try to be more social like she was.

She was tempted to correct the impression she gave and tell him she knew his niece and nephew, thinking of Manuku's current mate Marini and her own Amadi. He seemed cheered by the way the discussion was going so she was content to let it be and simply offered a smile. "I'll be on my way," she said, finding little other way to correct this awkward encounter, however friendly it was despite the tension, "And I'll try not to stare so openly next time--"
She paused.
"I didn't get your name," she said, "I'm Angavu."

Feo chuckled. It had been quite a strange way for the conversation to start, but now he didn't mind so much. "I'm Feo. It is nice to meet you formally, Angavu."
"I'll see you around again," he said with a nod, deciding to go check in on his brothers. See how they were doing, and just have a little more time to spend with his family.

"Feo," she repeated with a smile, "Nice to meet you, too."
She watched him go off before taking off herself, determined not to draw unnecessary attention tot he way she was walking. Her paw was well enough but still healing, no need to worry about it. Hearing the way he spoke of his mother got her thinking. Memetuka had lived a far more sheltered life. She would have been more social and known to the pride, but she held onto some things for too long and it kept her away from it all.. what she really had was the family of hares that had kept her company and relied on her in part for their safety. They weren't really just a nuisance, she ought to stop avoiding them.
With this in mind, she decidedly headed for home.
