Feo was a bit rattled from the battles with the hyenas, but thankfully the impact on his family was low. His mother had passed on, but having Jina to lean on in his grief was more than he ever could have asked for. His tail twitched as her reclined on a rock, letting the sun warm him as he watched friends and family relax from a good hunt. He told himself that he needed to go find his mate soon, but the sun was just so relaxing it was hard to get himself to get up.
"Hnngg....Jina, I'll come soon, I promise," he mumbled to himself, drifting off in sleep. Peace was slowly returning and he was grateful for it

The black and red lioness was in their den. The sun was already high in the sky, and she hadn't seen any sign of her mate around. Smiling to herself, she walked out of the den and let the sunshine warm her dark coat. Normally she had trouble with the sun on her black coat. But the sun was just at the right height today.
Jina decided to take this time to clean up the den. After all, there were no cubs around, and she didn't know where Feo had gone. She needed this time to herself. Even if it was short. She hummed a tune as she used her tail to dust out the den; enjoying the beautiful day.

Feo felt himself slipping off of his rock, and it jolted him awake. "Huh?" s**t, he should probably be at home instead of being lazy for everyone to see. The golden lion pulled himself up, shaking out his mane to further wake himself up, and slowly made the walk towards the den that he shared with his mate.
He felt a little bad, but couldn't quite pinpoint why. Perhaps because he had left her alone, and he didn't know if she liked that or not. As he got closer, he thought she sounded happy. Which was good, and proved that he didn't need to worry too much.
"Jina?" he asked politely. He didn't want to barge in if she was in the middle of something.

She was nearly finished cleaning everything when she heard Feo's voice from just outside the den.
"One minute!" she called out. She smiled brightly. He couldn't come in yet! Not when she was so close to being done. She wanted to surprise him with their clean home. "I'll be out in just... one... second..." she said as she swiped the last cobweb off the wall with her tail.
"Hey Feo." She said as she walked into the sunlight, squinting a little at the bright rays. "How'd the hunt go?" she asked, a bright smile on her maw as she walked up to him and nuzzled into his mane.

"Oh?" He...had to wait? This wasn't common. He listened to her obediently, waiting patiently in the sunlight outside of the den. It was nice to see her so happy, and obviously doing something with the den. Wasn't it nice the way it was? Males were kind of oblivious like that.
"Jina," he said happily, giving her a nuzzle. "It went ok. Then I sort of....crashed on a rock for a bit..." Yeah. Whoops. He wasn't going to do that again.

"Hehe, I'm glad." She said as she sat in front of him. She couldn't remember a time when a hunt went bad. Feo was always careful; and she was glad. She didn't want to worry about him all the time. She heard that gave you grey fur.
She laughed lightly, "I don't blame you." She said as she rose her head towards the sun. "It's such a beautiful day today." she said as she closed her eyes, and let the rays warm her fur. "A nap sounds like a good idea." She said as she opened her eyes and looked back to him, "I might have to take one later." She smiled lovingly at him.

"Don't make the same mistake I did!" He laughed. "We should take a nap together. Find the perfect rock...waste the rest of the day away..." It sounded perfect to him. It would be too warm to go out and hunt again anyway, and neither one of them had other responsibilities to handle at the moment.
"Sounds good huh?" Just what he needed. "Just the two of us."

She smiled. A nap together. That was a better idea than just taking a nap.
"That sounds wonderful." She smiled and stood, taking a few steps away from the den before remembering, "Oh! Wait!" She said as her ears perked up, and she jumped back towards the den, "Come see what I did while you were hunting!" She said happily, her tail swaying behind her. She couldn't wait to show him how clean the den looked. Not that it as really dirty to begin with, but it gave her something to do while he was out.

Feo was all ready to get back to that wonderful rock he was on, but Jina wanted to show him something. "Oh? The den?" He was a bit curious, because she just seemed to excited. He took a few steps towards the den, glanced back at Jina, and walked in.
The sun's rays made it easy to see how much cleaner it had been than just yesterday. Dim lighting made it easy to miss the fact that it had been dirty, and he hadn't really noticed just how bad until it was actually clean.
"Oh wow, you did all this Jina? You're making me feel a bit too lazy now!"

Her excitement grew when he entered the den, and she slowly followed behind him. Noticing a stray rock at the corner of the entrance, she quickly kicked it out with her pack paw.
"Oh, say that; it was nothing, really." she said as she looked around with him and stopped beside him. "I had nothing to do, so I thought I'd take this time to clean." She said, laughing lightly. "With no cubs to watch over, the days have been very lazy lately." she smiled.

Feo's eyebrow quirked. "Oh?" Females could be so sly, and he wondered what was on Jinamizi's mind. "Is that a subtle hint or something?" He grinned as he looked at her, and at the clean, if a bit empty, den. It would be nice to have cubs again...but he felt that it mattered more on Jina's opinion than his. She was the one that would be more impacted than he would be.

Jina looked back up to him and smiled lightly, "Well, it wasn't meant as one..." she said softly as she leaned in closer to her mate. "But if you want it to be, it can." She giggled lightly.
She did miss the pitter patter of tiny paws running around the den. And now that everyone had grown, and left to find their own dens, things had seemed a bit too quiet around here.

Feo grinned. "Ok. Sounds like a deal." It had been fairly quiet lately. He had enjoyed it for a while, just time alone with Jina, but perhaps having more cubs would shake things up a bit. "We can talk about it more after our nap. I'm certain that there's a fabulous rock with our names on it...and the sun is warming it up for us."
Nothing better than a warm rock to relax on!

She nodded, "And I think it's calling our names." She said as she turned and walked out of the den.
More cubs... The thought was a little scary, but they had done it before. And she knew they would be ready again. After all, what could be worse than six cubs in your first litter?
"Feeeeeo.... Jiiiiina... come relaaax." She said and laughed lightly as they made their way to a large, heated rock.
