OH HI There are about 98 shop characters signed up for the meta. There are about 62 Boos signed up for the meta. There are about 12 GMs to run this meta. There are not enough GMs to go around trolling attacking the 98 shop characters like was done last Christmas event. And the Island meta event was too chaotic as a free-for-all (sorry guys! MY BAD - Maru). This time we've come up with a system that's a bit more organized, and this is where the Boos come in! Every 24 hours after a completed battle an enrolled character, Halloween or Hunter, may post here "summoning" a boo to fight. It is up to the players to decide how the Boo came to them: is it an ambush? A random attack? An actual summoning? Even then, not every summoning must be a battle. An enrolled character may request RP with a Boo, but that will not result in a minipet prize... unless the RP turns into a battle, that is. Please check this thread often for updates!

WAIT WAIT I'M A BOO HELP WHAT ARE MY STATS AGAIN? Have you read through our shop’s Battle Guide? If not, please do. Here is a quick run-down of Boo stats:
All Boos have 10 HP.
All Boos roll 2d8 (two 8-sided dice) to battle.
Subtract 6 from the total of your roll to get your damage.
Boos do NOT have a Fear. A "Fear" is this shop's word for Special Attack/Limit Break/Overdrive. If you would like to know more, please check out that thread here.
If a character uses a special attack against you and you're not sure what it does, ask! biggrin Some special attacks do damage, others can heal, some can poison, etc. If you're ever confused or feel lost, please do NOT hesitate to ask for help from the person you are battling, or contact a GM!
Boos are NOT ghosts. They are, however, made out of Fear. Hunters can charge their weapons off of Boos.
Yes, your Boo will most likely die. But that’s okay! Every battle you enter will make you eligible for a Halloween Minipet! Please click here for that thread. IF YOUR BOO DIES IT IS NOT PERMANENT! You simply respawn here in the Boo Room Game Lounge. So live, die, and live again as many times as you like! Dying will not restrict your chances of winning a prize. When battling, do NOT focus on who lives and who dies. Focus on the battle, the experience, the moment. And the sweet prize everyone gets at the end of it! Also when a Boo dies, a boo does NOT need to wait for a GM response. They can appear and then go party in the Boo-only ORP or the Hub if they wish! A Boo may participate in a battle once every 24 hours, starting from when a battle ends. xxxxx ie, I complete a battle on Oct 4th at 1 am, I may not reply to another battle request until 1am on Oct 5th. Same goes for enrolled characters; the 24 hour time limit begins when a battle ends. A battle may take as many IRL days as it needs to complete itself. If you are RPing a Boo and an enrolled character in the meta, you may NOT have that Boo attack the party your character is in.

SUMMONING FOR DUMMIES Only enrolled characters, be they a Halloween or Hunter characte, may summon a Boo. A Boo may only respond to a summoning. But wait! How do you summon and respond to said summoning? First, a Halloween/Hunter posts this:

[b]Type:[/b] Halloween/Hunter
[b]Looking for:[/b] One Boo/Two Boos/Three, etc. ALL BOOS summoned must be fought in battle. You may RP with them prior to battling, however encounters MUST end with a battle or contain one~
[b]Duration:[/b] From what time to what time do you want someone to respond? ie, if you're on from 1pm until 5pm, put 1pm to 5pm here so that a Boo in that timezone/timeframe will respond. LIST YOUR DURATIONS IN PST!
[b]Time Zone:[/b] What time zone are YOU in?
[b]Please respond within:[/b] Use this only if you want a battle RIGHT NOW/within a couple hours. If there is no time limit, please list "Open until filled."
If a Boo is online at the time and wants to take you up on that post, they will quote the post and request to participate. Boos should list their own timezone/how long they'll still be online!Then the original poster takes a look at how many people accepted the offer, and if it works out they'll invite the Boo into their group thread. Never, EVER post in a group thread without permission! Doing so can and will get you banned from the meta for a certain amount of time. Or permanently. It is within the enrolled character's right to accept/reject Boos based off of the likelihood that they will be online. It's bad form to accept an offer 5minutes before you need to leave for the night -- please be courteous to your fellow RPers and give others a chance. Summoning Limitations:Every group may summon as many Boos as they needed to complete a puzzle room OR daily event. For a 1 on 1 battle, one group member may summon only one Boo at a time. If you wish to team up with a group member and battle ghosts 2v2, it uses both character's summons for the day. An enrolled character may summon a Boo every 24 hours. A Boo may participate in a battle very 24 hours. If you are RPing a Boo in this event, you may NOT fight against your own enrolled character.

WHAT IF I CAN'T FIND ENOUGH BOOS FOR AN EVENT? Because the entire meta will be paced by the enrolled characters, it is up to the poster of the request to determine how long they want to keep their search "open." Players are more than welcomed to go with the first person who responds to their battle, or they can wait a couple days IRL to have a "pool" of people to pick from. If nobody is responding to your post, then please don't hesitate to contact a GM! We GMs are here to help! A GM can play a Boo you need,or adjust an encounter accordingly. Let's say a group of enrolled students encounters an event that requires five Boos. Only two people of the four that applied are online during the time the group is online, and the group would really like to have the encounter when everyone's online. In this sort of situation, a GM can either GM two Boos... or adjust the HP levels of the two Boos that did respond to make it more of a challenge, ie instead of two 10 HP Boos, your group now faces two 20 HP level Boos. SO: there is no deadline or limit as to how long a request for Boos can be open. The times at which those requests close, however, varies from player to player.

Boo Summoning FAQ I have a Special Role! Can I use that Boo instead of the regular one?No. Special Roles are used only in certain situations. I have a Boo and a character in the Meta. Can I summon myself?No. Give the other 61 Boos a chance first! Nobody else has responded. Can I still summon myself?Nope! Then you'll just farm yourself for minipets. : P This meta IS about cooperation, after all! How many Boos can I summon at once?For a daily or room event, as many as the event requires. For a battle? Boo Summoning is now OPEN! Some things to keep in mind:
You may only battle every 24 hours starting when your last battle ends! So if you start a battle on Oct 1st and finish it on Oct 4th at 1am, you cannot participate in another battle until Oct 5th at 1am.
ENROLLED STUDENTS! Please be courteous to your GMs and summon a boo at a "quiet" moment in your threads, such as after completing a puzzle. Be mindful of your IC situation, and battle when appropriate please!
All battles take place in your GROUP threads. Ie, I am a member of Group 42, I would summon a boo to the thread Group 42 is in. No fighting in the hub!
