*Yellow strobe lights flashed as "For the Love of Money" by the O'Jays hit the Titantron. A limo pulled up to the front of the ramp. The driver came out and opened the door as E Rock stepped out, wearing blue trunks and a towel around his neck. He smiled and laughed at the catcalls from the fans. Slowly, he took a couple of steps toward the ring and extended his arms. On cue, piles of fake money poured into the arena from the ceiling."
And from Oakland, California, weighing tonight at 215 pounds, E Rock!
*The new millionaire strut down the ramp, climbed the steps, and entered the ring. The smiling E Rock then wiped his forehead with the towel which he tossed into the crowd and winked at the fans. He had been on a roll, defeating three former World Champions in the past few weeks. It was his destiny to become the Heavyweight Champion and tonight, E Rock would take one step closer to his goal by becoming the IC champion for the second time. E Rock then backed up against a turnbuckle to wait for his doomed opponent.*

The lights in the arena went dark until the USMC Eagle, Globe and Anchor emblem appeared on the blackened titantron screen before the background appeared to burn away, leaving a field of scarlet red in its place with the words Major Devastation above and below the ensignia in gold, military-style block lettering while Warrior by Disturbed began blasting over the PA system. Once the scarlet background on the screen was revealed, the arena lighting was replaced by mood lighting in a matching shade of red, alternating with gold to the beat of the music. The Marine emerged from the tunnel with a US flag propped against his left shoulder and the Intercontinental championship strapped around his waist as the lyrics to the song began, stopping in the middle of the stage to salute the crowd as fountains of red, white and blue sparks began spraying around him before he started down the ramp, zig-zagging from side to side in order to high-five some of the fans. I am now an instrument of violence I am a vessel of invincibility I cannot leave this undecided Stepping down to battle another day
Remember me for all time This determination is a vital part of me Surrender now or be counted With the endless masses that I will defeat
Come on bring it...don't sing it...better believe it
Broken down 'til your hope has died Beat down 'til victory is mine Stand up and show me some pride And now are you ready?"Now making his way to the ring, weighing in at 270 lbs., from San Antonio, Texas...he is the WWF Intercontinental champion, Major Devastation!"I'm one with the warrior inside My dominance can't be denied Your entire world will turn Into a battlefield tonight
As I look upon you Through the warrior's eyes Now I can see the fear That will ensure my victory this timeAs he reached the side of the ring, Major handed Old Glory to the ringside attendant and performed a standing leap onto the apron before stepping between the top and middle ropes to enter the ring itself, unfastening the belt as he did so. Devastation would then begin climbing the turnbuckles and playing to the crowd, holding the title high above his head in a Rock-like manner before hopping down, handing the gold to the referee and waiting for the bell. Considering that he was still in a rather foul mood after the events from earlier in the evening, the champ would waste little time in getting the action started as he quickly attempted to go for a double leg takedown, and if successful, would look to start raining down punches around the head of the JBL-wannabe.

*E Rock covered up the best he could as the punches rained down on his head. The ref urged Major to separate from his opponent.*

Sean was sitting out in the front row with the trophy watching the match intently. He was contemplating when to cash in the trophy for either the Bruiser or IC title.

It took a count of four AND the ref physically prying Major off of his challenger to end the hail of punches. He backed up a couple of steps while the official reprimanded him on the use of closed fists, although the big Texan honestly wasn't listening. Devastation simply tuned out the yelling and waited for E-Rock to start getting back up before attempting to drive his knee directly between his opponent's eyes.

Looking to continue pressing the assault on his challenger, Devastation rolled out of the ring after E-Rock and would try to drag him up to his feet so that he could attempt to whip the jabroni into the steel steps.

Once the Major pulled E Rock back to his feet, he tried to surprise the Major with his signature jumping reverse STO.*

As E-Rock jumped up and tried to grab Major for the reverse STO, the Marine would quickly attempt to shove his opponent off of him. He may not have exactly been expecting a move like that, but there was a reason why Devastation has held the Intercontinental Championship for the last six months.

They say that those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it, and judging by the look on E-Rock's face, it was clear that he hadn't learned a damned thing from the last time he faced the Master of Disaster. It also appears that it had never occurred to him that a 6'4" 270lb. powerhouse might actually use brute force to counter a technique that, in all honesty, would probably have been more effective if it had been used later on in the match rather than within seconds of the opening bell.
While the challenger stood around looking like an idiot, Major Devastation would attempt to drive the toe of his boot into his opponent's midsection. If the kick hit its mark, the champ would then attempt to introduce E-Rock's skull to the concrete floor with a DDT.

If the spinebuster connected on the Major, the DDT would connect on E Rock as well. Meanwhile, the ref counted.* 1...2......

((Do you REALLY think that's the best idea, dude? Even without taking into account the MASSIVE size difference between E-Rock and Major and the feasibility of E-Rock even being able to pull it off in the first place, a spinebuster is about the farthest thing from an effective counter for a DDT as you can get...logically speaking, and considering the physics of the technique, it would only end up making the DDT's impact even worse for E-Rock.))
