They had a brief encounter along the corridors, Owl and Edel. The frost demon was ecstatic to see her friend in school, so there may or may not have been a little hand-holding and twirling about.
There were also a lot of kung fu fighting poses being made and a brief mention of the school gym's reopening.
So the day came and Edel was waiting outside the school's gym for Owl. Today was the day she would learn some Kung Fu Fighting from none other than the rotting bear.
Boy was this exciting.

Quote: The OOC: Owl will be imparting her awesome fighting skills to Edel today, so as her instructor, Owl is feeling really generous and allowing Edel to attack first. Owl had gotten a shirt custom-made for this. Sure, it was from a shady-looking werewolf outside of the old mall, but Owl was happy with it. Misspelled words were scattered around the dirty yellow shirt, but Owl would argue that they were perfect and if anyone said otherwise, she would have poked them in the eyes to make sure they were still working. So, at a pre-determined time, Owl was seen wandering from her dorm to where Edel was waiting outside the gym, wearing the pre-mentioned shirt. Owl's eyes scanned her for a brief moment before running really quickly into the gym. She was ready to fight. By the time that Edel had caught up, Owl was positioned where she wanted the battle to take place. It was a bizarre stance, but she obviously had her reasons for it. " Do attacking now, Edel!" she yelled seriously. HP: 30/30 Quote: Owl has 30HP as she is a year one student. Edel will now attempt to hit owl by rolling 2 6-sided dice and subtracting 6.

Edel knew the battle was on the minute Owl had ninja-darted into the gym right under her nose. She really needed to work on those reflexes.
Hurrying into the gym, the ghoul was now standing face to face against Owl, prepared as ever in a strange yet convincingly threatening pose. Owl was serious about this alright, so she'd better be too.
As Owl yelled for her to make her move, Edel swiftly formed a throwing knife made of ice and poised herself for the attack. All those Terror Warrior runs seemed to help quite a little, and Edel had sent the throwing knife hurtling straight towards Owl.
HP: 30/30
Damage dealt: 10 – 6 = 4

Quote: The OOC:Edel's attack looks like it could stick. Owl now has to option of defending herself from the incoming icicle by rolling a 1d4 to nullify the corresponding amount of damage or taking the full damage and launching a counter-attack

Owl looked at Edel for a moment, confused. She'd just been hit with stuff! Was that part of the rules? Owl was not sure. However, Owl decided that she would attack with her 'king food' moves. As this was a demonstration, Owl talked her through it. " I get arm! I have big arm, very big. And do this move! I hit you right there. Owie! Yes. You get hitted." Thanks, king food master Owl. HP: 26/30 Damage dealt: 8-6= 2 Fear: Unused Effects: -na- Quote: Owl has decided to take the damage and attack Edel in return. She rolled an 8, so (taking away 6) she has delivered 2 damage. Good job, Owl!

Oh dear
That was what the frost demon thought as she watched the icicle drive itself into Owl's arm. That looked like it hurt. Edel stood there to watch what Owl would do feeling as helpless as a child who got caught doing something really, really bad.
Edel wasn't sure of what to make of Owl's feelings as the rotting bear yelled out her attack, but she allowed her friend to whack her in the shins as payback for the attack earlier.
Grimacing, Edel stepped back to put some distance between them. She had a slight advantage of a bit of range after all.
Forming another icicle in her hand, the frost demon looked like she was about to repeat the previous attack when it occurred to her that she might be doing some serious damage if she continued using .....sharp objects. Chucking that aside, Edel opted for something....softer.....
Like a snowball to the face.

Owl stumbled a little as the snowball hit her in the face. She was slightly confused as to why Edel needed lessons on fighting. She was fine, really. Although Owl didn't notice it at all, it seemed that Edel was much better at this than her, and Owl's flimsy kung-fu moves were no match. But Owl didn't give up, oh no no. She decided that she would have one more go at the kung-fu, and if it didn't work, she'd go back to her traditional fighting moves. Not that she really had any, seeing as her race were not great fighters. Amazingly, her brilliant kung-fu moves didn't work very well. HP: 22/30 Damage dealt: 7-6 = 1 Fear: Unused Effects: -na- Quote: Owl has tried to attack Edel again, unfortunately only doing 1 damage. If Edel tries to block it, she wont have done any at all.

Narrowly dodging a swipe from Owl to get away from a scratch on her side, Edel continued to retreat and keep a distance between the two of them while she could.
She had been really lucky all this time that Owl's moves had not hit her straight on – those looked dangerous. Or.....could she be holding back? Edel was slightly miffed at the thought that she was taking advantage of her friend here.
“I-Is that all you got?” It was a really lousy taunt, Edel was stifling her laughter as she said it. Perhaps now Owl would get serious with her.
Edel formed another snowball in her hand and pitched it at Owl. Looks like it was going to be another direct hit.

Owl abandoned her kung-fu to use her claws as an attack. Edel's attack hurt Owl the same as the last two times. Owl paced for a few seconds before attacking. It was swift and slightly more effective than her previous attack, dealing the most amount of damage to far. HP: 18/30 Damage dealt: 4 Fear: Unused Effects: -na-

Edel was regretting the fact that she had taunted Owl earlier as a two sets of claws dug into her. Now that hurt. Now that Owl's strikes were getting faster, it'd be best if she kept her away.
The frost demon quickly formed a tiny ice shield which she used to nudge Owl away, dealing her no damage but creating distance between them once again.

Owl, confused by Edel's lack of actual attack, didn't do anything either. She stood there, looking bewildered and wondered why EDEL NO ATTACK. Perhaps it was time they started attacking again. " Attack now?" she said, looking over at Edel. HP: 18/30 Damage dealt: 0 Fear: Unused Effects: -na- Quote: Unfortunately, Owlbby didn't manage to attack Edel this round.

Edel grinned at Owl, before suddenly turning tail and running away from the rot bear. Attack at point blank range? Hah, not a chance! The frost demon was running around the gym, away from Owl.
Turning around as she ran, the frost demon teased her friend for the second time.
“Catch me if you can Owl!”
