The gold and white Pidgeot disappeared in a flash of red light - it wouldn't be good to subject her to the cold for too long - and Claire clipped the pokeball back to her belt before donning a warm coat. There was a scarf in her pocket in case she needed it after a while, but there was already a pair of dark gloves covering her slender hands. She turned toward the pale blond man but didn't look at him yet as she reached into her coat to pull out another ball, this one releasing a petite Glaceon in a flash of white.
Her bright eyes cast around momentarily before she spun in a happy circle and began bounding around in the snow. "Laaa!" There wasn't a lot, but maybe they'd go where there was more?
"I think this was a good idea," she noted, watching the Glaceon with a smile before focusing violet eyes on Frost. "A very good idea," she concluded as Alexina began prancing around Frost in a circle, peering up at him expectantly.

Frost was a man of several very focused talents. Modesty was not one of them. "Of course it was," he agreed, perhaps looking faintly puzzled by Claire's statement, "I suggested it after due consideration after all." Stepping lightly off the Metang he had been standing on and smoothing down his thick woollen coat the small man looked around at the stark clean scenery with approval. He spent some moments doing this before he noticed the small Glaceon dancing around him, and when he did he raised his eyebrows slightly. "Patience," he said, not unkindly, "I will let him out now."
So saying Frost reached into one of his pockets and pulled out Skiron's luxury ball, letting the ice type out of it, and then put it away again. As his paws touched the snow, the shiny-esque Glaceon let out an enthused chirp. On spotting Alexina he gave an even happier one and trotted over to nuzzle her face. he exclaimed.
Koios meanwhile gave a polite hum to all present before drifting up into the air again and then over to the edge of the nearest cliff; it wanted to study the rock structures!

Claire resisted the (very great) urge to snort at his modesty - or lack there-of - and instead turned to watch the pair of Glaceons with a smile.
Alexina nuzzled Skiron back, then dropped into a play-stance for merely a moment or two before pouncing him to n** at his ear. That would've been terrible. Easily fixed, she thought, but still terrible. Claire probably would've gotten the hint if she started somehow making it snow in her bedroom.
"About how long do you think we should stay?" The agent asked as she slipped her gloved hands into her pockets, looking to Frost again. Not too long, she expected - possibly an hour or so, depending on how cold it was - but she wanted to make sure.
Two-toned icy blue eyes stared out from a snow-coated bush several yards off, focusing on one pair for several moments before slowly studying the other pair and back again.

"I had allowed between half an hour and two and half hours," Frost replied with a shrug, "I tried to be more exact than that but in the end I decided it was better to be vague than constrained." Vague was not desirable, but changing a plan once it was set in his mind was even less so. "I do have something of an ulterior motive for coming here," the small man added, peering thoughtfully around the chilly landscape. After a moment it occurred to him to tell Claire what that motive was. "Ice types. I have something of a fondness for them, and yet I only possess one. This seemed like a good opportunity for me to look around as well as for Skiron and Alexina to have fun." His Glaceon really did seem fond of Claire's. Perhaps he should try to find more chances for the two of them to spend time together.
"Anyway, I think I would have a better chance of finding ice types higher up," Frost went on, "and as there will be more snow higher up I think these two will be happy too. Shall we go?"
Skrion perked his ears and looked up at his trainer with a chirp. Enough to properly roll around and burrow in; paradise!

"Sounds good," she said with a nod. Well, as long as they left before she could no longer feel her toes or fingers, of course. After that, well... She very well might leave Frost there.
Alexina said gleefully, rolling off Skiron before bounding up the trail. Their humans could catch up.
Claire listened with faintly raised brows, though she wasn't too surprised. His codename was Frost, after all. She'd actually been surprised he didn't have more than Skiron in regards to the type. "Alright," she said amiably, setting off after the pair of Glaceon at a comfortable walk. "Though I'll note now I only brought Odette and Alexina, and Pidgeot aren't good in cold climates. If you find anything, I'm afraid I won't be able to help much." She should've expected it, but she didn't - otherwise she might've at least brought Zeus, but instead had left him back in her room with the remote and the rest of her pokemon.
The bush a few yards ahead of them suddenly rustled for a moment or two.

"I am sure I can cope," Frost said with a slight nod, "Persephone will manage I am sure, she is useful for disabling opponents." Koios would be ideal of course but the Metang seemed to abhor violence and he wasn't about to try to argue with a supercomputer which technically speaking wasn't even his pokemon.
While Frost was pondering this he was not noticing his surroundings, and as such did not notice the grass rustle. Skiron on the other hand was very much alert, it was part of the job description. he murmured to his companion, ears perking up. So saying the ice type gave himself a quick shake off and padded towards the grass with equal parts curiosity to wariness.

Alexina had seen the rustle too - Claire did not - and she trotted towards it. she churred in agreement, slowing to a walk as they approached the bush. Her head raised slightly as she sniffed the air, and delicately stepped around it.
"Good," she replied with another nod, leisurely following after the pair of Glaceons as they headed for the bush. Persephone was the.. Spiritomb? She vaguely remembered seeing it at the outpost when it was being raided. How long ago had that been now...? "Oh, I haven't seen that Metang before - it looks very interesting. When did you get it?"
The only thing they'd find in the bush's immediate area were familiar-looking pawprints and the smell of an unfamiliar pokemon - the pair of two-toned eyes was now watching from another bush several yards away.

“I met it in Ambergris,” Frost replied with a nod, “I attempted to capture it but failed, as it was already contained within a pokeball. It didn’t seem desperately upset by my attempt though, rather it drew a large R in the dirt. I showed it my ‘dex and it hummed approvingly a lot, thus I surmised it was seeking Team Rocket for some reason. It passed me the pokeball you see clipped to its arm and I brought it back to base, turns out it was created in the labs and then sold but was less than enamoured of whoever bought it. Mmh. In any case. It seems content to remain with me for now, although as you see it keeps control of its own pokeball, so I suppose it is an associate and ally rather than a subordinate.” He was more than glad to have the steel type on his side; even though it refused to attack the defence and utility TMs he had taught it made the metang a great asset.
Skiron chirred, stopping to sniff at the ground. That scent was familiar, and also unfamiliar. he glanced at Alexina, A wild one, he wondered, or was there another trainer nearby? He couldn’t smell any other humans but it could be downwind or somesuch.

"Really?" The agent's brows rose in some degree of bemusement. It seemed like an incredulous story - a pokemon carrying its own ball and surrendering it to a Rocket - it did make a bit of sense. Metangs were intelligent, after all, and she'd even seen the thing with her own eyes, so that was good enough. Plus it was Frost. She couldn't see him telling tall tales of any sort. "Poor luck for whoever bought it," she commented with a small amused snort, still following the pair of Glaceon up the snowy hill. "Spent a pretty penny for it, then went and lost it. Probably not so much luck then, as it was more than likely incompetence on their part."
Icy eyes narrowed slightly in interest as the pair of Glaceon studied the bush, then started looking around for it. The pokemon remained motionless for a few moments in thought - then was struck by an idea.
she suggested, ears perking as she recognized the familiar-yet-unfamiliar scent right as he identified it aloud. That meant either it didn't have one, or it had wandered quite a fair distance from its trainer.
The bush several yards from the pair of ice-types rustled - but whether it was accidental or a ploy to attract their attention was anyone's guess.

As the rustling sound reached him, Skiron perked up his ears and glanced at his companion. So saying he headed quickly for the patch of shifting bushes. It hadn’t greeted them in return, was it shy or hostile? Hopefully just the former; he didn’t especially want a fight today.
“Quite so,” Frost responded, “but a gain for me, and for it so far as I gather. Mmh. We both seem to have interesting ways of coming across pokemon, do we not?” Frost gestured towards Alexina as he spoke, shuddering internally as he remembered Zeus and the Chocolate Icecream Mess. Disgusting.

The agent chuckled lightly at his comment. "Yes, we do. Seems to be a sort of track record now," she commented idly as she thought back to how she'd obtained all of hers - most notably Odette and Zeus; the former from a game of poker, and the latter saved from being eaten by a Houndoom. The rest were interesting, but not as much as those. She glanced at the pair of ice-types as Frost indicated her own, but she didn't notice that they were specifically looking for anything.
Alexina followed Skiron eagerly, determined to find out who this other Glaceon was. The bush that rustled, however, was very noticeably empty when they arrived - apart from the same scent and pawprints. Her ears twitched back a bit in disappointment. Hmm. She called, looking around momentarily to see if she could spot anything, but she couldn't. She turned back to Skiron with a bewildered expression.
A curious, airy voice suddenly asked, floating down to them from somewhere a few yards off again - after they were a sufficient distance from the humans, of course. look lost,> it said, are you lost?>

Skiron tensed up at the sudden voice, but as it didn’t sound aggressive he relaxed somewhat after a moment. he replied, casting around for the speaker, And where are you come to that, he still hadn’t spotted the airy-voiced stranger.
It appeared to him that they had said all that there was to be said on that subject, but he understood that smalltalk was important and tried to think of something else to bring up. “Are you working on anything interesting at the moment?” Frost asked eventually, deciding that even if she wasn’t he could talk about things he was up to.

the voice said in more relieved tones, but then hesitated.
Alexina affirmed with a bob of her head, her gold-tipped tail swishing back and forth a bit as she scanned the area for the source of the voice as well.
Claire glanced at the pair of ice-types before focusing on Frost again. "I don't really have.. projects, I suppose you could say, like yours. I tend to work more in the field, although I do have paperwork to do from time to time. Nothing too interesting as of late, though. What about you?"
The gold-eyed Glaceon frowned, ears flicking back. She asked finally, unable to stand waiting for the other ice-type to appear.
A small pause - hesitation? - before the airy-sounding voice drifted over to them again. and a bush several yards off, a couple feet in front of a tree, rustled meaningfully.

Skiron glanced briefly over his shoulder at Frost but his trainer seemed to be occupied for the time being and so, with a mental shrug, the glaceon trotted around behind the rustling bush.... Well. Hello then. She was quite attractive not that he would say so in front of Alexina, and she wasn’t as attractive in any case at least not in his opinion. he bobbed his head in greeting,
That sounded boring to him, but then each to their own. “We have several projects ongoing,” Frost said with a nod, “currently I am most involved with building an all terrain vehicle with bullet proofing, weaponry, and performance like a high range sports car....” From here Frost launched into some specifics that Claire could probably have done without. As he went on however it became clear how much he was enjoying himself by the gleam in his eyes, the way he gestured enthusiastically, and how his speech sped up both became less precise and far more expressive. Clearly he couldn’t imagine that anyone could be disinterested in the specifics of creating an ultra-light ultra-tough material for the armor, or exactly how to put together an engine using the least possible space to leave room for the mechanisms to control the planned weaponry.

Well, she couldn't exactly say she hadn't expected him to go into detail about what he had going - he seemed like the type who would do just that - but she honestly didn't think he'd go into so much detail, or seem so excited. It was the most human she'd seen him thus far. A smile twitched onto her face at his enthusiasm and she nodded eagerly to his ramblings, eyebrows appropriately raised and looking as interested as possible in something she pretty much had absolutely no idea about, and threw out the occasional "really?", "mhmm", and "interesting" at his explanations to seem like she was actually engaged in the conversation. To be quite honest, she was almost entirely clueless except that he was working on an all-terrain car with weapons. That sounded cool, but the specifics really were lost on her.
While Alexina was small, delicate and lithe, the wild pokemon before them was large with a thick coat, vaguely muscular - and was a couple inches taller than Skiron. Everything about her appearance spoke of living her whole life in the harsh, uncertain terrain of the mountain they were exploring. the Glaceon said as the pair circled to her side of the bush. She was a light blueish gray, sitting in the snow while her dark spaded tail swayed back and forth. Her two-toned eyes were bright and focused on the two domesticated Glaceon. If she had similar thoughts about Skiron, she didn't show it.
Xina replied, her fur prickling very subtly. Although the voice did indeed sound female, they didn't know for sure until they saw the wild ice-type - and now that they had, the fact she was a female was a significant one. Or it was to Alexina, at least.
While Frost continued, Claire spared a glance at their pair of ice-types - it was a habitual thing, just to make sure they were still in sight - except they weren't. A frown flickered briefly over her face before she turned to Frost. "I apologize for interrupting," she started as she paused in the snow, "but I can't see Skiron or Alexina anymore." At the last few words, she'd turned to look for them, even raising a gloved hand to shield her face from the sun as if that would help.
