Quite frankly, Shun was pretty unaware of how badly he had rattled Mot before with that one incident. He wasn't familiar with the guy enough to know that he had been acting strangely for a time either. It was somewhat surprising to him, when the cowboy challenged him and asked to meet up in the gym, however, seeing how the other boy didn't seem like the type to be into fighting all that much.
Even so, he wasn't going to complain. The Reaper knew he needed to improve so he was going to take any and every chance he could get. The fact that Mot was a long range fighter just added to this. Most of the fights he had been in involved close combat throughout. It would be an interesting challenge to try and spar him. He'd have to get in close, past his gunfire to land any blows.
To him, this was just as any other spar he had been in, fairly unaware the motives Mot had.
He made his way over to the gym at the designated time and went ahead to summon his weapons. Looking them over, he did a few light stretches to prepare himself for the upcoming brawl.

Mot was done with feeling sorry for himself. Done with moping and worrying. He was worrying his friends, and he was driving himself nuts. In his mind, he needed to bring down the origin of his self doubt and regain his pride.
He needed to fight Shun.
If he could put up a good fight, then and only then would he truly feel confident again.
So there Mot stood, waiting for Shun in the gym after having arranged the duel previously. He'd been there for a while, since he arrived early to prepare himself. Mostly mentally. Fighting was not something Mot was good at. This would truly be a challenge.
Once Shun arrived and summoned his weapon, Mot swallowed hard, shaking off the anxiety and summoning his revolver and chain.
I can do this.. "Ready?" He called out, holding a hand up with three fingers, counting them down. "Three.. Two.. One.. GO!" Mot aimed a shot and fired directly at Shun, managing a minor hit.

Seeing Mot up ahead, summoning his weapon, Shun paused some distance away. If he had come any closer before beginning, he expected the cowboy to move back anyway. Why let his opponent close from the start, after all?
Nodding quietly to the other, he gave a short bow before crouching low to get into a fighting stance. This would be the first time he could use really go all out, FEAR and all if he so chose. It was refreshing from the straight up hand-to-hand he had just been doing prior to this.
Narrowing his eyes, he began rushing towards the other Reaper as the signal was given. He tried to move to the side, but felt the shot hit him in the shoulder. Hissing from the slight pain, he pressed onward and lunged at Mot, slashing towards his midsection and landing a pretty decent blow.

Shun had come close quicker than Mot anticipated. Before the cowboil was able to back away, Shun slashed him across his middle. The tall boil grunted and scuttled backward, aiming a shot back to Shun as he tried to gain more distance from the other reaper.

Feeling another sting hit him, Shun gritted his teeth, determined to press on. He couldn't let Mot get too far else he'd have to work on getting close again. Ignoring the pain for the time being, he came up with his other dagger to try and slash him across the chest this time around.
As far as he was concerned, he needed to keep on the pressure. If he could remain on the offensive, it might work to his advantage while his opponent continued to scramble on back. That was his plan thus far in any case. Even so, he had a few things he could do to try and make sure he stayed within his own personal range... or get out of the way if he really needed to he supposed.
Being pointblank against a gunfighter had its own risks, after all.

The distance between them was short lived. Another slash with Shun's daggers cut across Mot's chest this time around. The reaper was feeling the rush of battle. This sort of anxiety normally made Mot feel tempted to run and hide. He'd rarely been in a battle before though, and that feeling was now being used as fuel to fight with, rather than run away.
With a hiss Mot ran to the side, turning on his heel and firing another shot at his opponent.

Adrenaline was working for Shun as well, as it normally did whenever he got into a scuffle of any sort. He felt another of Mot's bullets graze past his arm but that did little to slow him down. As the other Reaper bolted to the side, he shifted and went to try and slash him once more. Once again, he felt his dagger bite into his opponent fairly soundly.

s**t. Shun was good at this. All his hits were fairly decent ones. Still, Mot was determined. He had to give this battle his all. Everything he had. It was far from over.
Mot, rather than flee again, aimed to pistol whip the reaper away from him before running again.

Shun wasn't quite expecting Mot to pistol whip him. He was expecting more running and more firing back. The gun hit him pretty good on the head, causing the Reaper to let out a grunt. Placing a hand over where he got hit for the moment, he looked up to see that his opponent was getting away.
Shaking his head to try and get rid of the dizzy feeling that last hit left him, he grimaced while thinking of what to do next. With each moment passing, Mot was getting further from him. Well.. there was one way he could take care of this.
Narrowing his eyes, he suddenly disappeared into shadowy wisps. Shun soon reappeared, seemingly from multiple angles around Mot, lashing out at him numerous times with his daggers. Moments later, he landed a short distance away, letting out a breath before preparing to continue the fight.
HP: 18
Damage: .8 * 15 = 12!

Mot turned to shoot at Shun again, only to see smoke where he had once been. The reaper did a double take, before suddenly being attacked from seemingly every angle. The reaper winced in pain, gritting his teeth and curling into himself until the onslaught was suddenly done.
Mot was almost too caught in a paralyzed state of shock to continue. However, seeing Shun reappear boosted his resolve. No, he couldn't quit. He may almost be down, but not without trying his best.
At least one more hit. Even I lose, just one more hit to say that I tried..
The reaper grimaced, aiming his gun and firing one last shot.

Remaining crouched down, Shun soon rushed back towards Mot. He shifted as he ran, to try and avoid the oncoming fire, and he felt the bullet brush right by his cheek. Despite having done quite the number onto him with his last attack, the Reaper wasn't about to let his guard down.
He knew full well that Mot could have a comeback, a second wind, even when it seemed like the battle was almost his.
But maybe, just maybe, he could finish this battle right here and now. As he came up, he lashed out with both daggers.

Mot was almost certain he was down for the count. He'd expected to be out with the next hit, but When Shun came at him with those daggers again, something inside the cowboil flickered to life.
Mot furrowed his brows, quickly pulling his chain tout in front of him, effectively blocking Shun's strike.
Success.
Mot pulled back and pointed his gun's barrel at Shun, firing a shot close range.

Hearing the clank of metal hitting metal, Shun stared as Mot caught his daggers with the chain from his gun. How resourceful of the cowboy. Pulling back, he soon felt one of the other boy's shots rip through him, causing him to stagger for the moment. If he had gotten that good of a hit now, he really would have hated to see how things went if he had lowered his guard.
Gritting his teeth, he looked back towards the other with his right dagger coming up to slash him diagonally.

Mot had been thinking and acting faster since coming close to defeat. His reaction time was better, and saw Shun's attack coming again. Rather than block again, Mot rolled with the attack; moving past Shun and now facing his back.
He aimed and fired at the back of Shun's head.

Feeling his attack hit nothing but air, Shun's eyes widened for the moment. Just as he was about to try and see where Mot had rolled off to, he felt an explosion of pain from the back of his head. Crying out, he staggered forward, clenching his eyes shut. Gripping onto his daggers, he gritted his teeth and spun around to try slash him across the face.
No. He couldn't lose here. Not when he was so close to victory moments ago.
