It had been a miserable day at the academy for a certain cat. His luck had finally run short and it started this morning as soon as he walked out the door. He had forgotten to grab the books he had borrowed from the library, only to find out that his Nergal crew, his team of nergal bad luck causing minipets had had a hayday with said books, tearing paper from the spines and making the biggest mess in the room that even Night deemed not worthy to clean at the moment.
Which resulted telling the librarian, the surly behemoth exactly what happened to the books and then running....and the speed of light to get away from the man. He had barely managed to escape as he ran out of the academy grounds.
That being said, and with nothing else to do, he headed to the small town on the outskirts that held the luxurious maul where anything you wanted...you could buy. Just as he was about to head into the maul though, a very unfortunate Slurpee drink just happened to drop from the door as he was entering all over him, soaking him and sending the chills of having something wet all over him down his spine. His tail stopped its usual sway motion as his ears laid back to look up at the culprit. Some passing reaper on a broom hadn't used her handy cup holder and thought it would've been fine if she just balanced it on the pole of her broom...obviously not.
So covered in red sticky liquid and the need for a change of outfits, Night headed into the Maul. The only lucky he seemed to have was the enormous amount of money in his pockets hadn't been stolen or lost. Thank the lords for that, Night tail swished in a annoyed motion as he headed to the nearest clothing store, buying the first thing to suit his style, a white t-shirt, black hoodie, lime green and black green pants and...oh hey look at those gloves. He added them all to his purchase and came out of the store looking a lot fresher and better. Now, since he was at the maul, maybe he should do some browsing. Last time he was here after all had been the date before Prom with Vieve. Now that ladies and gentleman, was a lady who could...shop.
It'd be fun to see her again after all. But he wasn't sure if he should chalk that up to good luck...or bad luck if he did see her again.

She was skulking around in the mall- it was a free day, after all. There wasn't much else to do around this area than look through the windows at clothes and minipets, and Vieve would do that gladly, spending time checking out all the shops.
It was motivation, in a sense, to work even harder.
Just as she turned a corner, she saw someone familiar.. A boy with cat ears, a tail, and the piercing green eyes she remembered well (she'd had to have him cover them up with sunglasses).
"Night!" She beamed at him, practically skipping up to him- all of a sudden, she was in an amazingly good mood. "I didn't expect to see you here!" The last time she'd gone shopping with him, he'd bought quite a lot for her... perhaps this time, too, she'd get lucky.

His tail flicked as he turned the corner. Beyond his new clothing, he wanted something a little more on the expensive side. Maybe a new minipet? Or perhaps he could afford a new skellyphone. He had been meaning to buy one after a unfortunate incident of being dragged into water and it frying but....who knew. He wanted a Eyephone as well but...
His thoughts we're broken as he looked over to the girl who called him. His ears perked excitingly as he saw his prom date and friend from that day. "Vieve!" he met her halfway, changing his walking pattern. The little salamander was looking as bright and cheerful today as they we're the last time he saw her.
"I was just thinking of you." He grinned, crossing his arms over his back, "Funny that you should show up when I was." He winked before looking around, "Browsing the mall today?" His grin stayed plastered on before he thought of something, "Hey...if your here...and not busy....Wanna go shopping with me?" He smiled again, "I could really use some help with buying some things." Last time this had happened, she had spent all of his money. He felt that would be not a bad thing to happen today either.

Thinking of her? That was a little creepy, but she brushed the thought aside.
"Thinking good things, I hope?" Vieve teased, poking his arm. "It's nice to see you, too! What've you been up to?"
Where you was clearly: you and your wallet. Mostly your wallet.
"I'm just taking a look around, nothing much! And sure! What're you looking for today?"
The salamander didn't have much of an agenda for today, to be honest- but now that she'd run into Night, she'd already started formulating plans.
"Trying to impress some girl again?" Smirking, she walked closer to him, in an attempt to try out that.. that flirting thing. Apparently guys found it endearing. And statistics showed that people were more likely to buy things for people they were fond of.

"Think good things abut what? You? Oh right, no it wasn't really good per se I guess. Kinda of remember the last time I was here at the Maul and it had been with you. I just remember by the end of the trip well...I had no more money." His hands came up to rest behind his head before grinning at her, "So I guess that's more good for you than myself but you know...It's not like i objected after all."
"Not much, been planning for the field trip and getting close to graduating from Year One. Yourself? You like the Academy so far Vee?" He fell in step with her, "Recently gained new shinies to exchange for money. Apparently their worth quite a bit." Night jingled the trinkets in his pocket, his destination was the exchange for Halloween currency before he started the shopping trip.
"Not sure what I'm looking for, need new clothing, maybe some furniture or something. I just felt like shopping. We can get something you like to." He looked over, he was a gentleman over and wouldn't drag a lady around without offering a compromise for it.
"Ah..." Night flushed at the mention of impressing a girl before shrugging. "Something like that. Can't always be the Kitten in her eyes, otherwise I will never get anywhere." He looked over at her before grinning, "Have you found a young boil that strikes your fancy Vee? Now that you've been here longer?"
