Venturing to the other booths never happened in the wake of the massive Fearados attack. At the time it happened, Needle focused more on keeping Lattice from harm than she did trying to aid the other students in bringing down the beast, and when the dust finally settled, everything was in complete and utter ruin.

"Well, that was exciting." Needle proclaimed in that even tone of hers, flicking away pieces of shattered wood she had gingerly pulled out from her shoulder and from between the needles that went through her arm. Luckily nothing had done serious damage, but some of the fragments had dug in deep enough to make blood well up in areas. Others she had yet to extract, but they were more annoying splinters than anything. She had been too preoccupied to focus on making herself intangible, and that was her fault to bear now.

"Are you well, Sister?" This time, there was a hint of concern to her voice, a bruised and ink-stained hand resting lightly against Lattice's back. Her Sibling was her top priority, and finding Petro and his health status would be next.

Pales
She wasn't scared but she was uneasy. The young Engraver though built and behaved like a protector in most respects was not used to this much coming at her all at once. There was only a handful of threats that occurred back home and most of them came at the hand of an Elder coming to punish. Lattice stuck as close to her sister as she could and had forgotten how to turn intangible thanks to her panic.

Lattice looked herself over, she was a little better off thanks to her sister's protection but there were bits and pieces here and there, splinters, small scratches but otherwise she'd be alright. She turned her head toward her sister as soon as she heard Needle's voice and offered a small shaky smile, "Could say that," she murmured lightly. It was a little TOO exciting for Lattice's tastes.

"Yes...I am well? Are you alright?" She was well accustomed to her sister putting a hand upon her person, she even welcomed it. There was a pause as she gazed away from Needle to see where Petro had gone, "Sister? Where is our friend? Is he alright?"

Huni Pi
The horse boil had tried his best to act as a shield to the sisters from the incoming attack. But forced to remain in his human form, he could only provide (in his opinion) little coverage at best. Still, he'd done all he could to take the brunt of the incoming booth-projectiles. Compared to the sisters, the tall boil emerged from the wreckage covered in scratches and splinters and the occassional embedded piece of wood or two.

In the wake of the fearados' attack, Petro became aware he was a good few feet away from the sisters. Ignoring his own set of minor injuries (yes, Tro, ignore that small chunk of signage sticking out of your shoulder), calloused soles of bare feet made their way towards the pair of ghost ghouls, concern visibly etched on the tikbalang's human features. "Y' two okay?" he asked, brown eyes alternatingly studying them for any indication he might have to help bring them to the Nurse.

"I am well enough." She offered the slightest of smiles to her dear twin, her hand moving to brush some dust from her sister's back, able to see it due to the void it left in the fabric ink of her clothing. "I am afraid I have lost track of our--" The Engraver paused, her head lifting to turn in the direction of the voice, the sight of the familiar set of facial tattoos bringing that slight smile back onto her pale lips. "He is at least walking. That at least is a good sign." She said to Lattice, though the other ghoul would have been able to figure out the same thing by now. They were both scratched up and messy, and Needle was aware that at least her own hair was tousseled and matted, but otherwise...

"We are well, Thanks to your efforts." The way he had attempted to shield them had not gone unnoticed. "I do not believe we--" For the second time she paused, able to make out his shape as he came closer, and of course noticing that one shoulder seemed oddly shaped. "You are injured." Her flat voice was edged with the faintest of concern, taking slow, careful steps forward as to not trip on debris.

Pales
She nodded a bit toward her Sister when it was confirmed that Needle was alright for the most part and let her sibling fuss over her. Soon her handicapped gaze soon caught sight of Petro thanks to his moving about and then coming closer to them. Lattice offered a small upward quirk of her lips that was meant to be a smile and nodded a bit, "You did well to protect us," she muttered softly, "thank you so much."

Every warrior loved to be praised for their effort.

Lattice didn't understand why her sister paused until she took a moment to look over their protector and let out a soft "Oh my, that looks most painful," she said in regards to the bit to the unnatural shape sticking out from Petro's shoulder. She recalled their first meeting and how he'd refused to get medical help from when she and her sister accidentally bumped into him. The young ghoul cleared her throat and put in her best firm tone, "We are going to get that looked at."

Huni Pi
Petro gave a breath of relief to find that the sisters were none the worse for wear and felt himself swell ever so slightly with pride at the praise. While he hadn't done it to receive compliments or anything of the sort, even Petro had to admit it felt nice to be appreciated. "Naw, 's what anyone'dve done for y' two," he smiled, rubbing the back of his neck, only to finally feel the chunk of wood embedded in his shoulder. He'd been too preoccupied with their condition that he hadn't realized how badly he was injured, at least, when compared to the sisters. Initially he was going to deny the severity of his wounds, intending to insist it was just a lot of minor scratches (and most of them were simply minor scratches) but not even the tikbalang could deny the piece of signage sticking out of him.

"Huh, guess 'm injured," he agreed with a chuckle, trying to make light of the situation in order to keep the sisters from worrying. What sort of protector would he be if he gave into pain so easily? Answer: he'd be a terrible protector, that's what! "Don't think it's in too deep," he stated, gingerly trying to pull it out but decided against it. "But if it'd make y' two feel better if I got it looked at, then I will."

Needle had nodded in agreement to Lattice's demand, having nothing more to add than the (hopefully) intimidating appearance of a stoic Engraver. Which probably wasn't very intimidating at all; Needle wasn't sure what counted as intimidating outside of their clan. It was hard to tell, near impossible considering most emotion was given by eyes, but her expression softened.

"You did not have to injure yourself for our sake, I doubt very much that anyone else would have done what you did." That ghost of a smile returned, her eyes lifting to gaze at the glowing tattoos on his face though her head did not move to betray the glance, nor did her voice betray the emotion. "Please, do us a kindness and be sure to take care of this wound. It would indeed make us feel better." Needle parroted Petro, agreeing with his assumption entirely. The wound soon had her attention again, yet as before it had been only her eyes that moved, hidden behind the mask. The Engraver did not touch him, and aside from the initial steps she had taken to stand close to his injured side she did not move much. "How deep is it in, do you know? If it is a clean piece we may be able to remove it and bandage it until we can find a physician." She observed, having ghosted closer to the Tikbalang in an attempt to get a better view of the wound. "I do not believe that it would be good to have such a thing stick out from your person for long."

Pales
It was always refreshing to have someone around that had humility despite their great deeds. She nodded to her sister's words, "Yes, not everyone," she echoed softly in agreement. Not everyone was as kind as Petro was, at least as far as she was aware and not everyone would willingly get hit by things for them like he was. Indeed he had risen quite high in her opinions of him.

Lattice's face, if possible, became much sterner as he tried to laugh it off and was prepared to argue with him as he seemed about ready to dismiss the whole idea but when he agreed she softened her expression - at least what could be seen of it. The ghoul wandered over with her sister not fearing to touch the boil now that they'd gotten a little better acquainted for the most part.

"Yes, we will do what we can here and then get you to a physician," she uttered softly in agreement with her sister. Needle always had marvelous ideas ... most of the time.

Huni Pi
"Best case'd be no one getting injured at all," Petro sighed, realizing his lack of forethought had caused not just himself but the sisters an inconvenience. it would be quite some time before he would consider his wounds Unaware his standing with the ghouls had risen, the earlier glow of pride seemed to be taking a downward turn now that the monster horse had time to think about the consequences. He did not regret shielding the sisters, he would never regret putting himself in harm's way to protect another, no, that wasn't the issue. He was disappointed in himself that he'd gotten that badly hurt when it seemed such an injury could have been avoided. He was getting sloppy and becoming too reliant on the fact that he's used to taking a beating.

He tried to study his wound, frowning at the need to angle his head, "Ain't too deep, but the angle's awkward for me to be able to pull it out in one go. Wouldn't normally ask but, could either of y' yank it out for me?"

"If that is so, I do still require your assistance in a very important matter." The blue clad engraver informed him with a slight nod. She liked his outlook on things, and she still needed him...recent events only proved she had been right. When he asked for help, Needle fought really, really hard to avoid grinning.

"Allow me." She said as a courtesy only, finally moving towards Petro. One cold, ink-stained hand pressed feather light against the wound itself, the other moving to brush along the edge of the piece itself. Before she did anything, she looked back at her sister, still fighting the pleased grin. "Sister, if you would be so kind as to get fabric ready? You may take it from my obi if you wish." Regardless of where the fabric came from, once Needle was ready she turned her masked face towards their companion.

"I am going to remove the piece now, please prepare for a pinch." A moment later, one hand pressed sharply on the wound while the other pulled suddenly upwards, forcefully removing the shard from their protector's shoulder. "Lattice, if you'd please." She said softly, tossing the shard away to press both hands down on his wound until the fabric could replace them. As it were, she was in no real hurry to remove her hands; she felt the warm wetness of his blood...and perhaps she was enjoying it a little too much.

Pales
Her lips quirked downward for but a brief moment as Petro seemed to talk down about himself and shook her head, "You couldn't have foreseen this so there was no way to prepare. You acted admirably under the circumstances," she corrected him quietly.

Lattice looked over at her sister and nodded a bit at being given instructions and was happy to let her sister to be the one to remove the piece of sign from the boil's shoulder as she tore strips from her own obi and some strips from her sister's as well - it wasn't hard to rip the cloth a bit when you could figure out where the weaknesses were.

She tied ends where needed and then moved closer to Petro where she dutifully moved to wrap the wound in spite of her sister's hand being in the way, she trusted Needle to move it when the time came. In spite of the blood she was calm and seemed unbothered, blood happened often in their life. It was a good thing that she knew how to move her hands and arms otherwise Petro would have ended up pierced as well. Once finished she stepped back a bit, "There. It isn't perfect but it'll work," Lattice murmured in a satisfied tone.

Huni Pi
The horse boil could only give Lattice a small smile at her consoling words, "Always room for improvement, yeah?" Though the next time wooden projectiles came flying at them from all directions, Petro was going to make sure to look for some sort of shield that wasn't a part of his own body.

He stood stock still when the sisters began preparations for extraction, inwardly frowning that they had to resort to tearing their own clothing for his sake. But he didn't have any alternative to offer, and he'd learned at the picnic table area that most students preferred if he were clothed so his loincloth was out of the picture. When he felt Needle's hand grip the chunk of wood and heard her tell him to prepare for a pinch, he planted his feet and braced himself. It was going to hurt, that much Petro knew from past experiences. And as expected, no pinch came. Rather, it was a sharp, abrupt stab of pain that exploded in his shoulder. Teeth ground, brown eyes screwed shut shut, veins in his neck bulged from restraining a yell. All he allowed himself to make was a loud, forceful grunt upon the removal of the shard from his flesh.

There was a welcomed numbness from the overwhelmed nerves of his shoulder, even more the welcomed relief when Lattice finished bandaging him. "Couldn't've done better myself," he assured both sisters. "This oughta hold me long enough to get to see Nurse Cricket. Thank y' both." He briefly got down on one knee to show his appreciation then quickly straightened back up.

"The shoulder is a difficult thing to bandage." Needle nodded towards her sister and her handiwork, having indeed moved her hands away from the wound when the time came. "Very admirable indeed." Needle murmured in agreement, though it was mostly to herself it was directed at Petro. She was impressed with the way the boil did not cry out, and kept a calm composure when the shard came out. It was a rare event; she felt how deep the shard was embedded, she knew how painful it was. She was now sure this boil was the one she needed, and before she returned Petro's kneel with a deep bow, she merely glanced at her sister.

"You have an astounding tolerance to pain." She allowed herself to sound impressed, but it was not for long. "Is it from experience? Do you make it a habit of acting so...valiantly?" He seemed so good at it he must have done it before! Of course acting to brash wasn't a bad trait; it obviously got you hurt sometimes, but it was still something that was sorely needed in this world. Especially their world.

"Ah...but that is not important at the moment. Needle had finished wiping Petro's blood onto her now torn obi trail. "Petro, I have a request to make of you." She informed the boil matter-of-factly, reaching a hand back to take Lattice's, pulling her forward again. "My dear Lattice has the honour of attending your Academy...please, keep her safe?" Lattice was the more timid of the two, and Needle, despite how she was convinced that Lattice needed this time to become more brave, still loathed to leave her alone. She sounded sad, having to ask someone else to protect her sister; at the same time she was hopeful that this boil, who had been wounded twice in their presence, would agree to help.

Pales
Lattice nodded a little bit at Petro and offered an encouraging, "Always so long as you never give up. Always practice and improve," it was a mantra that had been drilled into her mind since she was a small ghoul and now she practically lived that philosophy at least as best as she could. Sometimes she had moments where she brooded over plateaus in her skill.

"I did my best," she replied humbly as she stood back a bit, "I could have done better in spots but it'll do," she agreed with the other two when it concerned her bandaging skills. She wasn't a very good healer but she did pay some attention to the Elders when they showed how to bandage bleeding wounds one day. Lattice felt inwardly pleased that he appreciated their help and even kneeled before them to show his thanks, it felt odd feeling so pleased over a simple act as that. She wiped her own hands on her obi mimicking her sister, she wasn't near as bloodied as Needle but there was some.

Her head tilted toward her sister when she spoke up about a request and her lips parted a little in surprise that she couldn't keep contained despite all the training to keep her emotions hidden. She shifted a little bit and for a moment didn't say anything. She wasn't angry with her sister and even moved a bit forward when gestured to on her own accord. Lattice's head bowed toward the ground, "If...Petro wouldn't be bothered by it, I am uneasy about strange places," she admitted acquiescing to her sister's request in her own way. "A...and without my sister there I'll be a little lost," she added actually sounding saddened, unable to hold it back much like her surprise.

Huni Pi
Petro quirked a square-root brow at Needle. Tolerance for pain? Him? Naw, he felt the pain whenever it struck. The horse boil just chose not to let other people know just how painful it was for him. It seems he defined tolerance for pain different than the ghouls. "Naw, ain't valiant. Just spar lots in the Clan and we ain't the sort to hold back. Haven't had much chance to spar more'n a few times or be a shield since I got enrolled to the Academy," he admitted, "'S a good thing, yeah? Means it's safe here. Sorta," he chuckled wryly, side-eying the current wreckage that had been the Floresctival booths.

Hearing that Lattice had been accepted in Amityville, a big grin spread across Tro's face, "Yeah? She did? 'S great! It'd be my honor to help Lattice get settled. Y' can count on me!" He promised with great enthusiam, the arm with the unbandaged shoulder lightly thumping his chest with a fist. Then he paused. A look of concentration that suggests the gears in his head are turning. Wait, just Lattice? "What about y', Needle?" he blinked, "Why ain't y' two not enrolled together? Ain't seen y' apart since I met y' both."

Ah, there it is. Petro's honest, if rather insensitive, nature. He meant no malice by his question, and he certainly didn't fail to notice Lattice's anxiety at the thought of being separated, Tro just doesn't really think very well when emotions were involved.

Needle's very slight smile faded at the sad tone to her sister's voice, but she did her best to not look as upset as Lattice sounded. She had gone back to carefully crafted stoic features, and when Petro asked the inevitable, she flinched behind her mask. The relief she had felt at his enthusiastic agreement faded into a sense of embarrassment for herself.

"This...will indeed be the first we have been separated." Needle admitted. It was then she did something that was somewhat out of character for her; she started to fidget, however slightly. Bruised and ink stained hands linked fingers in front of her, her head dropping in shame. "I am still hopeful, but I believe my application was...unreadable. The ink..." Her lips had pulled into a surprisingly prominent pout for a moment before she remembered who she was and where she was, where the metaphorical mask went right back up.

"I will continue to try, but I will not allow Lattice to pass up this opportunity on my behalf." However heavy-hearted the decision made her, Needle was stubborn; judging by the brief glance she cast to the ghoul in question, it was something that had been discussed before.

Pales
"We are safe with you around," she said simply not feeling the need to dress the words up or down. They were blunt and simple and even admiring in their own way and with that Lattice fell silent on the subject.

She nodded a bit at Needle's confirmation to Petro's questioning about how and why not both of them were going to the Academy. Lattice's face became neutral again as she tilted her head up proudly, "I..I promised my sister that I would go and I would be social." There also seemed to be a bit of determination peeking through the otherwise monotone voice. "I will go and I will wait for her until she can always be with me again. We will write each other everyday."

Promising to write everyday helped to get Lattice to put a foot out of the metaphorical door but the other foot had yet to follow.

Huni Pi
So long as there ain't no fog, Petro thought to himself, still unable to completely get over his rather dismal performance during the mandatory field trip. He would redeem himself, someday, he swore it. And he wasn't going to let it stop him from fulfilling his oath to the sisters. As he listened, he tilted his head in mild confusion, "What do y' mean unreable? Like y' ran outta ink?" Truly, the tikbalang had no idea what the Sisters were and what they were capable.

The little he knew of them simply involved their difficulty in sight with the exception to ink. And that they had lots of very sharp spikes in their arms. Oh and that Needle liked tattoos a lot. And that Lattice was interested in being a protector and she did not like strange places. Huh. That did not seem like a lot. But he supposed he'll become more familiar with Lattice when he helped her settle in.

"Anything y' need, 'm here for y', Lattice. And Needle, too," he added, making sure the sisters knew his offer extended to the both of them. "Y' don't gotta worry 'bout most've the students here. Any've 'em gives y' any trouble, y' lemme know and 'm gonna set 'em straight," he solemnly vowed, punctuating his promise with a fist neatly burying into an open palm. The movement only aggravated his shoulder wound and he paid for it with grinding his teeth and a twitch.

Ran out of ink?

"I wish that were the case. As it were, we always have full wells." Needle lamented. "That particular batch was...stubborn. It would not allow me to write properly." She explained it as though he knew what was happening; it had been so long since they met someone new that it was hard to remember that he didn't know anything about them, and vice versa.

Her smile grew slightly wider when he extended his offer to her; she wasn't in the school yet, there was a chance that due to her, ah, problem that she might not ever get in, but it was touching to hear he was willing to protect them both. Ahh, a protector; they didn't really have those back home, either. Just a strict set of old ghouls, the occasional older boil taking watch over the doors during ceremonies. But having one just for them? That was exciting! It made her feel important, and her stance straightened a little bit, despite how straight she was already standing; it also drew a light blush to her cheeks, which she was hoping that nobody would notice.

All of that faded though, when she saw him flinch; that was the downside to having tattoos across your cheekbones, since they could see the embedded ink distorting.

"Oh my, We thank you for your vigor and gallant vow, Petro." She started, deciding to begin with a bit of a compliment. The Engraver placed a careful hand on his forearm. "You are still injured, perhaps now is the best time to have you mended."

Pales
"Yes, it was a particularly difficult batch," Lattice agreed softly with Needle about the ink, "I offered to help you," she reminded her twin quietly. Not that it would have helped much since it was better to try and do things on one's own, but the offer had been made. She looked over at Petro and shifted her shoulders, "For us ink is ... special. It...has personality," she explained in a bit more depth seeming to figure it would be better to let him in than to make him wonder about their conversation. Lattice seemed to understand that outsiders wouldn't quite comprehend.

Lattice blinked behind her mask but a small smile appeared on her lips in spite of herself, "I am very honored that you are so willing to help us," she replied. Truly he was going to be a very good friend to hold on to.

She watched as the boil seemed to flinch and nodded in agreement with Needle, "Yes, we can talk more after you've been looked at by someone that can help," Lattice wasn't too concerned, after all he was a great warrior it'd take much more to bring Petro down.

Huni Pi
Petro was confused at the sister's explanation on their difficulties with ink. Stubborn? Not letting Needle write properly? What? How? "Like it dries up too easy? Who made the batch? Didja let 'em know about it?" He made no attempt to hide his utter bewilderment. Ink was ink. It was wet and it stained and usually really hard to clean off your skin. He clearly did not understand what the sisters were talking about. Hopefully, as he became more familiar with the two ghouls he'll understand what it was exactly they meant.

The change in topic was a welcomed one, if only because it kept Petro from completely betraying his ignorance. A wry smile touched his lips when he felt Needle's hand rest on his forearm and Lattice's insistence that he get his injury looked at. "If it'd make y' two happy, guess we could take a quick detour over to Nurse Cricket's office." He had wanted to show them the rest of the school since he had offered during the Open House.

Lattice's mild scolding made the corner of her lip twitch, but she ducked her head for a moment in submission. "You did, dear Sister." She left it at that; too stubborn to let Lattice write for her, apparently. She had to do something on her own, and this might as well have been it. It donned on her with his reply that he had no idea what they meant, and she turned a barely amused smile to her sister.

"When you get my first letter, Sister, please do remember to show our Protector." Then he would understand what they both meant, and how difficult it was for her to get an actual letter out. When they finally did start moving towards the school, more importantly the nurses station, she heard the gong of a large clock. The deep bells of the clock were much different than the condemning bells she feared, and while this set did make Needle pause in her step, it was for an entirely different reason. Mentally she counted the slow gongs, and with a sigh she gave Petro's arm a second light touch.

"I am afraid we must part here." She submitted, allowing her disappointment into her voice. "Lattice and I are due to return shortly. I do sincerely apologize." Uuuugh, she wanted to stay! Her displeasure at having to leave was plain as day on the usually unreadable Engraver.

Pales
Lattice smiled lightly at Petro and shook her head at Petro's questions, "There is nothing our Elders can do for us," she paused looking over to her sister and nodded a bit. "Yes, that might be the best way to show him. As soon as your first letter comes in I shall track him down," she replied to her sister's words with an actual chuckle which was rare for Lattice who kept her composure at all times but in light of certain events she really didn't feel up to the effort unless at home with the elders.

The young Engraver stared over at her sister when she paused and found herself pausing near her, she was aware of the gongs but she was trying to ignore it stubbornly. She finally wanted to have Petro guide them around and to show them what the campus had to offer, but when her sister admitted they need to go she sighed softly and nodded relenting. "But we are close enough to the Nurse's Office, right?" Lattice wanted to make sure he went into the office rather than letting them leave and not going into the office. Somehow she thought he would do that to them.

Huni Pi
"Sounds good," Petro nodded when the sisters decided to show him the first letter Needle would send to Lattice. Even though it felt like he was prying into personal matters, if it meant being able to get what they were talking about in relation to the ink, then he would go along with it. He won't read the actual contents of the letter if he could manage. It just wasn't right to the tikbalang.

Hearing the chimes, Tro first paid it no mind. Until Needle and Lattice made it known they needed to leave. "Do y' really gotta?" the disappointment was just as audible in his voice as it was in the sisters'. Some other students might try to convince them to stay with the excuse that it wouldn't take long to give them the tour but Tro was not a very good liar and he knew it would take some time.

"'M 'fraid the Nurse's Office 's a bit ways away from here. 'S a lot nearer the classrooms," Tro answered honestly. "But I promised y' two I'd get my shoulder looked at, and 'm a monster of my word."

Enoh Love
Needle had suggested they leave merely to keep to schedule, because Lattice and the Elders liked it that way. The very moment Lattice questioned their proximity to the office, Needle was grinning. Actually grinning, and wide at that. An opportunity to rebel? Count her in.

"Of your honor there is no question, however this is a remarkable opportunity to discover where the FEAR healers reside." Needle was more than happy to make a reason behind going anyway, she enjoyed things like this; they would deal with the Elders later. No doubt they expected this from them on their trip especially where she was involved. The grin had faded, her expression carefully relaxing, and she took a step or two towards Petro.

"We will accompany you to this Office." The idea of leaving after that was never spoken out loud, probably because it would now be up to Lattice to keep them remotely on schedule. She had tried, at least. Nobody could say she didn't try! It was just way more fun making those old crones gets their needles in a twist.

Pales
Lattice should have known that her sister would jump at the chance after she wavered for even a single moment to go back home right as the time had sounded signaling when they should have left but she wasn't really ready to leave just yet. The ghoul paused as she let her sister explain as to why they would linger and gave a small nod of approval. Lattice could work with that, she could totally work with that. The Engraver felt rather happy that Needle was able to come up with this excuse.

"Yes let us accompany you, we are interested in seeing the healers and such," she agreed softly, "our Elders will possibly reward us for taking the initiative to know more," she continued on not caring if she was enabling her sister's behavior or not because it was partially her own bad behavior as well.

Later the responsibility driven ghoul would probably lament at how horrible she was but at the moment she just reveled in the freedom of being 'naughty'.

Huni Pi
Petro grinned widely, even though he thought the sisters wouldn't be able to see it (or maybe the would thanks to the slight distortion of his facial tattoo), when he learned they would be staying just a little bit longer. Sure it was because they wanted to know where the FEAR healers were located and maybe because they wanted to make sure he actually went to see Nurse Cricket, but it didn't so much matter to the tikbalang.

"Alright then, just follow me," he beamed and without thinking offered the sisters his arms. Oh s**t, wait, he forgot about their arm spikes! Too late to back out now. Guess that means he has a couple more injuries to walk off. "Nurse Cricket's real protective of her children, um, the bugs that're always crawling around in her office. If y' can have y'r feet intangible, y' don't gotta worry too much. Oh! And she's also one of the few ghost professors in the Academy." Hey, he promised them he'd be their guide and he was certainly going to keep his word.

Oh, Lattice was enabling. Was she ever.

"Perhaps then, as we are taking initiative, we might spend more of the day with our charming guide?" Needle suggested, since she didn't really want to leave to begin

with. Sadly, of the two of them, only Lattice had the freedom to not return today if she wished; as much as she wanted to, she did like having her arms. Petro's grin

was noticed and Needle let out a quiet giggle, her head tilting down to observe the shape she assumed to be his arm being offered to her.

His injured side, too! How trusting. While she wasn't entirely sure what the gesture meant, she had witnessed a few people being lead around in such a fashion and

could only assume that was what he was offering to them. She had an awkward time trying to fit her arm near his, and every time she felt resistence against her spikes

she backed off and attempted another angle.

"A ghost professor? That is wonderful to hear; I would assume she teaches FEAR healing?" In the end the whole fiasco seemed to difficult, and so she settled on placing

a cold hand on the inside of his wrist, laying her arm flat against the underside of his. Her spikes cradled his arm, but so long as he didn't bring her closer it

shouldn't cause damage...in theory, anyway. "What classes do you have?"

Pales
One last hurrah before she and her Sister would be separated due to school - that is how Lattice looked at it. That and it was always thrilling when she

decided to be a little cheeky with the Elders by defying their curfew. It was something they wouldn't be too harshly punished for. Scolded but certainly not

menaced much.

The Engraver nodded to Needle with a small smile appearing on her lips, "Indeed. We must take advantage of his offer to show us around since we didn't get to the first

time," she said softly and blinked behind her mask when Petro offered them his arms, a faint bit of color appeared at her cheeks when she noted the pleasant distortion

of his tattoo to show his grin. She looked at her Sister as she took up the offered arm. Had Petro been anyone else or even a complete stranger Lattice would have

politely declined and grasped onto her sister's free hand. A moment of hesitation of her own before she took Petro's free offered hand and positioned her arm similarly

to how Needle had done with Petro's other arm. If the boil fell or stumbled he'd be in for a world of pain as he brought the twins down with him.

"She does sound intriguing," Lattice murmured after she'd settled in place at Petro's other side, "I will be sure to make careful steps." She assured respectfully

waiting for Petro to lead the way.

Petro couldn't blame the sisters for having an awkward time in accepting his arm. He really didn't think this gesture through obviously but he made

note to remember it in the future. Maybe when they were more familiar with each other he could possibly offer to have them hold his hand instead. It would be an

innocent gesture, of course, it would just be the easier alternative to offering his arm. When they finally settled their arms in such a way that was the least

uncomfortable for everyone involved, he began to slowly move forward. (No sense in causing more injury, yeah?)

"Being careful 'round her children's a real good idea. She once ate a student because he didn't know about her children and squashed one. She

spat him out again after a bit. And it ain't me she ate, just letting y' know,"
he chuckled. It had been a startling punishment he'd witnessed but maybe that

sort of thing was normal for ghosts.

At Needle's question about his classes, Tro's immediate answer was "Sex Ed. 'S the class Nurse Cricket was teaching. Only class of hers I been in.

And there was this Maths class where we ended up building a trap using raw materials we find in the forest. Sheridan and I caught a mouse on our first try!"
He

seemed rather proud of this little accomplishment. "And there was Music class. Was given a sax'sphone. Looked more like something y' club others on

the head with than something y' play. Was no good at that,"
he made a face. "And there's Gym too! Professor Red made it an outdoors class

'stead've using the Battle Dome. Dunno how or where she got alla them skittersharks."

Truth be told, Needle thought being eaten by a teacher sounded exciting. Not something she was likely to do without hearing from the student that had suffered through it, but one day? One day she might step on the bugs on purpose, just to feel for herself what would happen. She was careful to keep this to herself for now, she didn't want Petro to think her too strange.

She moved easily alongside him, gazing uselessly around the area he was leading them through, and of course it was getting them no where. Still, the place was interesting, and from what she could see it was still a total mess. When her question was answered it did take her a moment to realize what was being said, and when she did she looked surprised.

"Sex Ed?" She parrotted, pretty sure her questioning tone would give away that she hadn't the faintest idea of what he was talking about. "I have never heard of such a thing." It didn't stop her from murmuring this out, and her lips puckered thoughtfully before relaxing once more, going to listen to the rest of the classes. Would they be as outlandish as the first? Actually no, they all sounded pretty tame in comparison!

"A saxs'phone? Skittersharks?" Clearly, this ghoul needed the schooling. "I understand...A question, though? If there is a music class, is there a class for dancing?" Needle was doing her best to not sound hopeful as shew as pretty sure she had been a little too full of emotions today, but she just couldn't help it!

Pales
Lattice started a bit when Petro noted that the Nurse had eaten a student for eating one of her 'children'. She would definitely try to be careful around them then. She shuffled along as she listened to Petro talk letting her sister ask the important questions about 'Sex Ed' and other such things. It made no sense to the ghoul to echo the exact same questions; Petro likely heard them the first time. She smiled softly at Petro's pride at catching a mouse on the first try offering a soft, "Congratulations to you and ... Sheridan." She did not know who Sheridan was but if Petro mentioned them they must be worthwhile.

She smiled slightly when her sister let a bit of hope etch into her voice but said nothing about it. For the most part the ghoul was content in being silent and observing. "Gym? What kind of things do you do there?" she asked quietly. The idea that it apparently was located in a Battle Dome caught her attention a bit. Was that where they learn fighting arts?

"Are there...any places for people to get together and play card games and the like?" Lattice asked curiously, "Perhaps even where people make proper tea ceremonies?"

Huni Pi
"Yup. Sex Ed. We were taught unsafe FEAR sharing means y' get Mold. Turns out it was the second class Nurse Cricket held. Wasn't enrolled yet when she held the first one," he shrugged. It wasn't that Tro didn't like scarelings. It just seemed like something he wasn't going to have to deal with for a long, long time. And when that time came, he was more than certain everyone in his Clan would have a say in it. Unsolicited. But that wouldn't be anything new to the horse boil.

Needle didn't have to worry about not knowing most of the things Tro was talking a bout. The tikbalang himself had no idea such things existed until he got to the Academy. This was a place to learn and by Jack was he learning.

"Thank y'," he beamed at Lattice for the congratulations. "Sheridan did most of the heavy thinking in the trap making though. 'S not really what 'm good at," he admitted with no shame. "As for a quiet place to play cards, uh, most've the time the common area in the dorms're good for that. Or y' could stay in one've classrooms if they aren't being used. 'M thinking the Cafeteria's pretty quiet if it ain't eating time."

At Needle's question, the tikbalang slowed his pace and looked thoughtful, "Y' know, don't think there 's a Dance Class. But new classes'r always cropping up and stuff. Y' two enjoy dancing?" he asked. If they couldn't see the playful glint in his eyes, they would surely hear the cheery suggestiveness in his voice.

Needle nodded silently to Lattice's questions, which had been on her list of 'to-ask' as well. Aww, Lattice is learning! The Engraver was fairly sure that Sex was too much trouble for what it was worth, at least with what Petro was explaining. Sure, she was curious...but that subject was probably better left for another day.

"I am sure you are not giving yourself enough credit." She assured the Tikbalang, her hand giving his wrist a little pat. "There must be plenty of quiet places, an Academy is for learning after all." Studying was important! Even as Engravers there was a lot of it; mostly of customs that Needle could word vomit at the drop of a hat, but still...studying!

"A pity...perhaps one day." They had music, but not dancing? Sad! Being denied sight, Needle's other senses were fairly sharp; she heard the tone of his voice, and it had her blatantly grinning. "I love to dance." She stressed the word heavily, knowing it was a word and an emotion that was nearly forbidden in her world. "I often coerce Lattice into dancing with me when we are alone." Her fingers strummed momentarily against Petro's wrist, her hips shifting for a moment in what was probably the beginning of a dance...until she realized where she was and how close her spikes were to flesh.

Apparently, people didn't like getting skewered, and so she stopped. "And yourself?" She was fairly sure she knew the answer, though.

Pales
"That sounds horrible," Lattice replied to the idea of getting mold due to unsafe FEAR sharing. That was something she wanted to avoid. She let the subject fall away other than that one comment.

She tilted her head a bit at Petro, "You are just fine the way you are. You have a wonderful head on your shoulders," she said sincerely to him and added, "I am sure you did your fair share through other tasks." Petro was wonderful and she didn't want to hear anything else.

The Engraver was glad to hear that there was no lack of quiet spaces and the like; she would take advantage of them as soon as possible. She smiled humbly at Petro's question and responded on her own behalf, "Not as much as my sister. I tend to only dance if she gets me to and even then it is usually when it is just us." Lattice was obviously a little more shy.

Huni Pi
Petro's ego was getting a great many strokes today, it seemed. "Thank y', both of y'," there was a faint tinge of pink to his tanned cheeks as he said this. The praise and the insistence that he deserved them was more than flattering and Tro appreciated it a great deal. His attention moved back forth, from sister to sister, as they answered his teasing question about dancing.

"I like dancing lots!" he declared brightly and enthusiastically, perhaps a little too enthusiastically as the wound sent a jolt of pain from his declaration. He grit his teeth, determined not to let it dampen his mood. "There was this thing the school had recently called The Prom.

Was s'pposed to be some sort'v Rite of Passage. Turned out to be more'v this strange festival that ain't got no battling. Exhibition or otherwise,"
he sounded mildly disappointed by this. And that would be because he was disappointed by the lack of battling. "When y' both're enrolled and we have Prom again, would y' two give me the honor of being y'r escort?" Tro still hadn't quite wrapped his head around the concept of Prom and Dates.

"Then, Petro, you and I must dance." It was unspoken that Lattice would be joining them, but as the other Engraver wasn't much for dancing, Needle didn't feel the need to include her verbally. "...Prom, was it like the festival that---ep!" Out of the corner of her eye, Needle saw tattoos. Familiar, clan-type tattoos. Panic gripped the ghoul instantly, and the hands she had on Petro clung all the tighter, nearly every muscle in her body going rigid. A moment later she relaxed, knowing this particular one was of no real threat.

The woman was dressed like them; however her flowing hakama skirt was a deep purple, her obi too dark to distinguish a colour and her tattoos travelled up both arms to around her jaw with a couple lines curling onto her face. Instead of a mask she wore bandages around her eyes, dark stains running down her cheeks; this woman was a decade or two older than the sisters but had only recently gone through the ritual, in the process of allowing her eyes to heal. She was clearly their elder in every way, and with that came a certain amount of authority. "Lattice." The older Engraver said, voice flat but heavy. "Needle." This one was just as flat, but the difference was there; she expected this from Needle, but Lattice, well...

"I believe our time has come to an end." Needle released the Tikbalang, taking an easy step away from him. "It was good to meet you again, Petro. I wish you luck with your Nurse." She was doing her absolute best to hide her devastating disappointment, but even she couldn't help the slight, unhappy slouch she seemed to have acquired.

Her head turned towards Lattice, waiting for her to join.

Pales
The Engraver was fully aware that she was included in the whole idea of dancing it didn't need to be said and the reason for that was because Needle was Needle and could get Lattice to do anything in the entire world of Halloween with no exception. Lattice simply loved and trusted her sister that much. "We would be honored to have y---..."She cut off when her sister cut off and then she realized why. Her body trembled slightly a moment as she stared over toward the oncoming figure of the third Engraver.

Her trembling only worsened when she heard the tone from the Elder Engraver and it made her head bow down in rather obvious shame, "I apologize, Elder but time just slipped away from us and there was a situation," they were excuses but they were true. The ghoul felt ashamed and would likely chastise herself further once back at the Manor.

So much chastising.

"Sorry Petro...Please do take care, I hope your wound gets better," Lattice murmured her voice turning back to a gradual simple monotone. Flat. Quiet. Much like her sister she was hiding her disappointment as well as rebuilding her walls in a way to try and protect herself but likely it would be for naught. If mental punishment didn't work there was always physical.

Lattice released Petro quietly and then bowed slightly, "See you again soon." Then she turned to follow after the Elder and her Twin.

Huni Pi
Petro did not fail to notice the abrupt shift in the sister's demeanor upon the arrival of the third ghoul. Instinctively he took a step towards the older ghost ghoul, as if to perhaps act as a sort of shield between them. But even when it became apparent that the third Engraver was their Elder, the horse boil could not immediately lower his guard. He didn't quite like the sudden tension he'd felt from Needle and the visible distress from Lattice.

"Ain't their fault. Blame falls on my shoulders. They're only still here 'cuz I asked 'em to stay a bit longer," he insisted with honest, open conviction. But there was nothing else he could do or say other than "See y' soon. Mag-ingat kayo." He didn't bother trying to hide the disappointment in his voice as he bade them farewell and wished them a safe journey.

When the Sisters and their Elder left and was out of sight, the tikbalang gave a slight snort before heading to the Infirmary to get his wound looked at.
