Kakashi VS Gai!
.current.obsession. -gai is one of the greatest jounin,
he can beat kakashi anytime. 3nodding
So, .current.obsession has spoken! What are your views on this deathmatch? Please do not be biased because this is a Kakashi FanClub! Fair opinions please!
My views are that Kakashi would either win by that little bit, or it would be a tie.
Kakashi, since he was young, has been hailed as genius, and rightly so. He has the moves, he has the smarts, and is a vey good all rounder.
Gai, on the other hand, is a very good taijutsu user. And although we (Me, anyway) have yet to see him in a serious fight, I am sure he's a very strategic fighter. They both seem so equally matched!

I'm really not sure on this one. I've yet to see Gai fight seriously. What pops into my mind is the Lee vs Sasuke fight at the chuunin exam. Methinks it might turn out the same way as theirs did. Kakashi's sharingan would be useless, but his speed and other moves might be enough. I'm going to wait to vote here, I'll definately need to think about this one.

after thinking it all through, i really have to say kakashi...but its tough, because we havnt seen gai get in a serious match yet

its hard since i've never seen Gai fight but i say kakashi,just because he has the sharingan,and if that didnt work,he would think fo something else cause he is really smart and good at strategic tactics.

Hard to say, I think Kakashi would win because one of the 1000 jutsu's he knows has to be able to totally own guy-sensei...

I'm going to wait to vote here, I'll definately need to think about this one. the problem is that when gai explained his stratigy to the leaf jonin in finding itachi of countering the sharingan it was flawed. he had to avoid actually looking at the person hindering his taijutsu tremendesly. also sasuke vs lee isnt an accurate basis for the match because sasuke only used the sharingan as an amature. kakashi used the percieving and piercing eyes against zabuza and we can imagine that that means kakashi has that match in the bag. for those who disagree saying theyre rival record meens that gai has won before ur wrong. they only do stupid contest like rock paper scizzors and 50 yrd dashes. so theres my opinion. feel free to disagree.

i agree with the others when i they say its hard to tell since weve never really seen Gai in a serious fight, but at the same time in normal conversation Kakashi has the ability to easily get under Gai's skin just with the words "im sorry did you say something" and if he was able to get that one moment of Gai caught off guard, it would be over. so my voge would have to go to Kakashi but none the less it would be a good match regardless of who won

Well they do mention that Gai has Kakashi beat as far as challenges go, but my sister got this Ultimate Naruto info book and it says that most of the challenges really didn't have much to do with actual fighting. They were more like eating contests and rock paper scissors kind of things. With that in mind and the fact that I've never really seen Gai in a serious fight I would have to go with Kakashi. I've seen what he's capable of and I think that he would probably win.

but...
Kakashi makes shadow clones
2 clones hold gai OR dogs hold gai
kakashi uses chidori
gai goes bye
I mean, with only taijutsu, how do you beat someone with genjutsu, ninjutsu, and taijutsu?!?

kakashi probably wouldn't care
gai can be scary when he takes out his weapon
but kakashi is the good all around
