The large stallion was in a different kind of mood today. He felt fulfilled and it wasn’t something he felt all the time. Now he hadn’t been able to be truly happy in a very long time, but today was the exception. He had adopted two sons and it wasn’t something he would normally do, but they needed a solid father figure in their life. He knew how to handle the role since he was always taking care of watching the children in his family’s herd. Now he wasn’t too scared of having children of his own one-day. That is…if it ever happened.
Giving a small snort, he walked out of the forest and into the open land. He had been spending so much time with Melanie lately that he hadn’t had much time for himself. Her determination to find her lost child was something that he admired in her. He had that same determination, but it wasn’t really for anything important. Maybe his could be placed towards that kalona stalker he always had watching him from the trees? He hated feeling like he was under surveillance all the time. But it’s not like he hated the stallion anyway. At least he felt safer knowing someone was watching him even if that someone was a little uneasy in the head.
Sighing lightly at his thoughts, he wandered across the great plain feeling the slight breeze hit his body.
Thinking was all he did anymore.
Though he was happy Melanie agreed to have children with him even if it was a one time only occurrence. She didn’t want it any other way to begin with and he was completely fine with it. He couldn’t even imagine himself with children. He knew if he had a girl he would protect her to the death and if he had a son he would teach him to be strong from a very young age. Though it didn’t matter what gender they were he would train them to be fighters regardless.
Sighing deeply, he stopped in the middle of the field lifting his head to look around feeling like someone or something was approaching, but he didn’t know which it was. He shifted slightly letting his mask move slightly on his muzzle as he glanced around the area very slowly.

This open field will be the best place to get her thoughts settled. A small, spotted mare walked through the grass, contemplating numerous, small thoughts. By this time, she had already left her family herd. Not only to find adventure, but to escape the drama. Marsiela returning after running away was a joyous occasion, she agrees with that, but with the additions of foals and a mate... well, that wasn't terrible either. It was the fact that the middle child seemed to be so distant from everyone, causing everyone to worry about him, especially when he would wander away for long periods of time. She wasn't up for that and felt that it was time for her to go off on her own. That didn't mean she abandoned the Elric family completely, she would still visit and all, but it was just time for an adventure on her own... like her father.
Pressing further into the field, her tail flicked as she continued to muse things over. So far, adventure had been seeming to avoid her. There were some that said life's biggest adventure starts when one finds a mate and starts a family. She didn't feel the same. She didn't need a mate, though she did meet an interesting stallion. She sure didn't need foals either. At this point of her life, she wasn't even sure if she even wanted any, they seeming more of a hindrance than a blessing in her opinion. Now, that might change, so she was leaving herself open for that but until then, there wasn't a big rush.
She stopped and sighed. She would never doubt her decision to leave, too stubborn to see that she might have been wrong to permanently leave her family like that. She was also too full of pride to return as well. Shaking her head, she tossed the thought from her mind. Any second thought she may have had dissipated when she heard someone approaching, ears perked at the sound of grass rustling and getting closer.

The large male stopped his movements a little bit when he heard a bit of a rustle coming from nearby. If there was someone else out there he was going to get on the defensive. He didn't know who or what it was, but if it was going to hurt him he wasn't going to just sit there and let it. So instead, he pressed on and walked through the brush until he noticed the mare standing there looking like she was curious as to what the noise was as well. Though now he felt a little better knowing it was just some mare that was here instead of something dangerous.
No fighting today it seemed.
Examining the mare further, he found some resemblances that made him step back a little bit. Was this Ferra's sister? He did remember her telling him something about a sister or at least he thought she did.
"You resemble somebody I know...do you have a sister by any chance?"
He asked her in a gruff tone of voice as he moved a little closer to her seeing her markings more at the distance he stood from her.
"My name is Gabriel."
He wasn't big on formalities, but he wasn't going to just stand there and remain some unknown stallion. That was his brother's job not his.
"What brings you out here?"

The small mare continued to look around for whatever it was that originally caught her attention. Soon enough, the appearance of another soquili drew her gaze. By what she could tell, it was a stallion, as she watched him move closer. His appearance was surely interesting, but not familiar... she's never met him before.
Her honey colored eyes kept watching as he moved closer, but quirked a brow when he asked if she had a sister. A small snort escaped from her as she tossed her head. "I don't see how that's any of your business." She retorted, scowling slightly at him.
At least he was polite enough to introduce himself, she thought as she bowed her head slightly to him, though still clearly a bit suspicious of him. "It's nice to meet you Gabriel, I guess. I'm Sayan Elric. As for why I'm out here, I'm just taking a walk... Is that a problem?"

Gabriel tilted his head slightly at the mare before stepping a few feet away from her. He didn't want to be bothered, but sometimes it was inevitable especially for him. There was no stopping what someone was going to do. If he could, he would live on a island for the rest of his life away from everyone. "It's not a problem unless you make it a problem. Though...I don't think you could."
He examined her closely thinking she would be easy to squash if things did get a little violent. He would just have to try and control himself this time before things got a little too out of hand. "So walking randomly out here is a hobby of yours? I do have to say it's an interesting one since their are dangers lurking around every tree or bush out here. Unless you know how to take care of yourself." He said to her shutting his eyes a little bit feeling the need for sleep hit him. He rarely got more then 5 hours of sleep on a good night. He didn't depend on it nor did he want to.

The small mare watched as the stallion backed up some. Her tail flicked. She wasn't one to start fights, but her father had told her how to defend herself in the case she needed to. So she watched him. At his comment, she quirked a brow. "Don't underestimate me because of my size."
His assumptions that she was a fragile little mare like her mother was starting to get on her nerves as he kept talking about dangers being around and being able to take care of herself. She snorted, tossing her short, braided hair. "There's nothing wrong with taking a walk every now and then. As for these dangers, I'm not worried. My father taught me what I needed to know to stay safe."
