Levi had only been to the library a handful of times herself. The tatzel's long, thick white tail swayed side to side down the hall while she thought of just what sort of books she'd take out and attempt to read today. Plain old jean shorts, orange tank and sandals were her wears today- no fights to take place in and the dorm chores were all taken care of for the day. Her pigtails bobbed to her walk and she greeted the familiar librarian. He reminded her of that tank of delicious fish.
It was relatively sound in the library aside from the shufflings of books being put away or the creaking of chairs moving from someone getting up/sitting down. Peering about the various shelves of books, the white haired ghoul waited to get a spark to bring her down one of the aisles.

It had been a while since any of the students, or in fact pretty much everyone, had seen a certain Chupacabra wandering up and down the halls. With everything that had happened recently it was as though the small monster had ceased to exist among the hustle and bustle that was becoming Amityville's new daily routine, and to be honest? Temes felt very lost in the crowd. Not that it was hard to do of course, seeing as she hadn't grown an inch at all even with all the passage of time. The only thing that had grown on her was her waist - an embarrassing reminder of all the duties she'd been shying away from.
Even her trip home had yielded nothing pleasant, her family sending her back almost as quickly as she'd left. they'd nearly ripped her apart over her weight gain and naturally that made her turn to her Thermos twice as hard as soon as she was back on campus. She was out of shape, overweight, and behind in her studies - naturally this meant the only safe place for her at the moment was to hide in the library and get to work on catching up.
That also meant, of course, she'd have to try and reach the books. Even with her feet standing on top of a few books that she'd managed to pull from the bottom shelf she couldn't reach anything, her muted sobs echoing down the empty aisle. All she wanted was to look at a picture book, not stress herself out over something as stupid as her height.
"This...ah...yo quiero ir a mi casa....." I want to go home Going home would have been a moot point since her parents had all but flung her back to the school.

An ear twitched to a new sound through the regular background happenings of the library. It was faint but grew as she passed along more shelves. Brow straightening with an expression of curiosity, she quickened her pace to follow the lead of the tiny voice. This sounded like a whimpering cry; whoever it was, they didn't seem happy about something. Through her initial head tilt down this new aisle, Levi saw the source of the sobs and stopped in her tracks. It was a fellow student... or... a critter of some sort, anyways. No, it must be a student; she was wearing one of the skull pins in her hair and was likely looking to grab a book for study purposes?
Well then!
Levi perked a smile and carefully walked into the aisle, trying not to stun the poor petite ghoul. Ya'll right thar, screecheart? It was apparent something was troubling her, sure, but Levi wasn't going to make any assumptions as to what it was. That might make things worse. Levi's eyes followed the direction of the ghoul's tiny hand. Reaching over, she pointed to one of the books. This tha one yer looking' for? Again, she kept her expression calm, looking to suit the crying ghoul.

"!!!!! AI JACK MIO!!" At the sudden appearance of an arm, a voice, and the book Chuppi had been wanting, the monster spun back on her feet and toppled off her stack. It didn't long for her to completely back into the shelf behind her, sharp quills stabbing into the wood and the books stored there, and she placed her hands over her face in an effort to hide. It wouldn't work since she was huge and very much out in the open but at least Temes wanted to try. Her beloved Thermos stood across the aisle from her, resting against her book-stand, and the Chupacabra very much wanted to be having it at the moment. "Please don't hurt me, I won't say anything at all okay."
Her English was pretty rough having spoken only Spanish all her while at home and in her lonely times, but she didn't think this new stranger would speak her native tongue at all. In fact they had a rather weird accent of their own and she wasn't so sure that English was their first language either. "I'll leave without fuss too, so. . . .." Temes opened her fingers a bit to peek at the invader and perhaps bully, her red eyes watery with fresh tears. Her bottom lip quivered softly as her gaze followed the pointed hand. "Ah...yes."
Well, that was a sudden change in mind. Chuppi didn't think this person was going to outright hurt her since they didn't look so mean, so maybe it was best to play along?

The tatzel stared at her; whoopsie? Toppling over the stack of books was a cue for her to hold out a hand in attempt to catch the ghoul but- that might cause more damage than good. Really, the ghoul who spoke strangely was as petrified as a statue and now attached to the bookshelf on the opposite side of the aisle. Jumpin' Gizzards. She waited for a bit, thinking of just how badly this ghoul must have been shook up. Sure, she'd been with overly meek ghouls before... friends like Xiu or Mitsu were really timid. The experience of prom must've given those petite ghouls a different outlook on her, however. That dancing... wasn't something she would've normally done in a public setting with those rougher types watching. She could've been attacked at any time or called a ghouly ghoul. But she wasn't; both Xiu and Mitsu saw that feat and likely thought of her as-
...she couldn't finish the thought. Shaking it off with a shudder, Levi's tail slid into something by the floor. Beside the books that once stood like a tiny step stool was a container of a sort. A thermos? She assumed it belonged to the ghoul. Perhaps she was lunching in the library and was also worried about getting caught with liquids near the books? Possibly. For Jack sake, the critter was on the floor covering her eyes like a hiding scarling. Levi didn't take another step. When the smaller ghoul whimpered her plea, she just listened. It was not without difficultly to decipher her words, but Levi responded with a sigh. Ain't got no intention 'a hurting' ya, ghoulie. Why would I not be wantin' ya ta say anythin'? Hadn't she asked if the book was the correct one? Of course she wanted the ghoul to speak.
If yer leaving' tho' ...ya might wanna take this, aye? Eh... no hard feelin's? Perhaps it was offensive to point at books to her. In any case, the tatzel had pulled out the book easily and held it down at eye level for Chuppi as she spoke.

With hands still shaking and eyes still watering, Chuppi reached out and took the book that was held towards her. A small smile spread across her flustered, tear streaked face, and she pulled the book close to her chest. Her breathing was still a bit hard since she was so out of shape and had been startled so badly but at the very least she was starting to calm down once more. Tears still slid down her checks, just with less frequency, and the monster did her best to clear her throat to speak. "I...would...very much....thank you. Like to thank you. Very much. Muchas gracias." The monster bowed her head downward and held it in place for a moment or two, her little shoulders shaking as she attempted to regain her composure. "Ah....also?"
She tried to shrug her shoulders free to walk forward but a think gasp, followed by a faint whine, escape from her lips. Having fallen back as hard as she did, for being as heavy as she was, she'd embedded herself rather deeply into the shelf. Each quill was easily more than a third of its length into the books and the wood and, with each wiggle, Chuppi was actually moving the section she was pinned against. Despite her small stature the weight the Chupacabra possessed was enough to multiple her strength. "I...I'm stuck. Ya no puedo, I can't do it. "

Not 'a worry. She was still obviously distraught, but at least there was a hint of a smile on her face now. When the red-eyed ghoul made it known that she was unable to leave the bookcase, Levi's eyes widened. Jimminy Jack. Eh- don't worry, we'll git ya outta there. She paused, with a frown on her face and a finger tapping her chin in thought. She couldn't destroy the shelf/allow it to tumble... that would be bad for both of them as well as the books. Depending on what she did, she could startle the ghoul again, bringing those tear right back up to a waterfall. Then once again those magnificent wheels in her head creaked with a pretty simple idea in mind. It was probably best to introduce herself if she was going to try this.
Ma name's Levi, by tha way. Itsa pleasure ta meet'cha... got a name, screecheart? She just smiled them, sitting cross legged on the floor in front of the other ghoul, swiping away at the fallen books. I can try something' but... She peered side-to-side at the two ends of the aisle. Okay, no one was there to see her do this. It'll mean huggin' kinda... ya'll okay with that? Figure it's tha best way a not getting' knocked over by them books neither. She looked up to express the shelving Chuppi was attached to.

"Me llamo ....I mean, my name is Temes. Most...most people around here have taken to calling me Chuppi though so you can if you'd like. I...like the nickname. And...if you want to hug me you can, but I should warn you. I...I am much, much, much heavier than you think and I also have more quills than it looks. I could hurt you when you hug." Chuppi's face nearly betrayed her happiness at being told she could be hugged - how long had it been since another person embraced the little monster? She loved hugs and they made her long for her family and the few friends she had, but now wasn't the time to dwell on it. Thinking such things would make her cry even more and crying right now would do her no good in the long run. She'd just stay stuck on the wall and be left alone.
"But...it's...also nice to meet you Levi, please treat me kindly in the future and I am sorry for crying at you but I got startled and. . . . " Chuppi started to trail on in her speech, so overly nervous about the situation and so badly wanting her Thermos. Just a little bit of the blood inside would calm her down, make her think better, but it probably wouldn't and she'd end up draining the entire thing in one single gulp.
