There were two teleports within the dark kingdom in very quick succession, two pairs of steps landing in very quick succession.

The siblings still had Aster's blood on them, but there was no time. They had learned of one thing, and they had to report that one thing... In hope that it wasn't already too late.

Fluorite had been scarce lately. She'd done her job lately, but something had been off, something had been gone. She turned in energy, and was gone just as quickly. She seemed to be outright avoiding others agents, save for when it was needed.

The questions, the uncertainity was still there, but there was no time for it. The emotional weight of her kill hadn't come yet, but it needed to be delayed for as long as possible.

There was work to do.

It was a different Alunite that took form and fell in step behind his sister. His upgrade was still a recent thing, and the information probably hadn't spread much unless Hiro had gone and mouthed it off to all who cared to listen in papa-kitty pride. Alunite certainly didn't care who knew and who didn't, and he seemed to be more concerned with his presentability than his sister, wiping one spot of Aster's blood from his face with one long sleeve, his steps more calm and even.

Fluorite, on the other hand, was frantic. She'd found the aura of a general queen and all but set off in that direction, hands still shaking in rage. She hadn't heard of anyone who had gotten a senshi to talk yet, had no idea if this was information that was already known. She hoped it was Tanzanite or Laurelite, but she'd even take Apatite and the crazy twillight-s**t at this point.

"General Queen !" Fluorite stomped in the room like a miniature, bloody hurricane, and she was about to get a lesson of look before you speak.

“Not…exactly.” Came a rather more masculine voice than belonged to any of the surviving General-Queens. In fact it sounded a great deal more familiar than that,
The aura was there, the press of a General-something rank but no Tanzanite, No Apatite, no Laurelite even…just Zinkenite. Or could one say ‘just’ any longer. There was something ‘off’ about the cut of his coat, something curious and new in the smoky swirls. No longer angular and abstract they were precise and almost beautiful.

His eyes flicked to Alunite and he gave a small and pleased nod before turning his eyes back to Fluorite wordlessly. “But, I assume you have something rather important. Please, do tell.” He said lifting his chin in curiosity. “What’s happened, what have you learned.”
His heart quickened with the possibilities, the moon queen might have appeared, terrible though that might be, but he hoped it better than that…the blood on the uniforms could have gone either way though, there was no telling until the story was unfurled.

...Oh well Zinkenite worked to, he could report-

Wait.

There was no general aura anywhere she could feel. Only Alunite's and...

Oh.

Oh s**t. The expression on Fluorite's face might have been the most priceless sight Zinkenite had ever seen.

"...OhshitGeneralKingImsorry." When the ******** did THAT happen ?

Alunite hadn't missed that nod, but he remained more or less impassible - now wasn't the time to go fawning around like a peacock.

"As we were saying..." He elbowed Fluorite slightly. In a way, he was just glad to not have been the one who had done the blunder of the century.

That earned him a glare, but Fluorite straighted back up. "We have something to report, indeed." As if that wasn't obvious by the look of them.

"The zodiacs have gotten the other senshi to collaborate with them in some way or fashion. They are, apparently, taking supplies up to the surrounding, but I wasn't able to gather how or for what purposes. She grew a little more tight-lipped after that, in spite of our... efforts."

It was starting to be evident whose' blood it was, now.

His eyes flicked to the blood on their uniforms and back to their faces and he nodded slowly. “And the senshi you learned this from, they’re dead?” He asked carefully. If nothing else he needed to know how much damage they had done.

“When, isn’t…perhaps so important at this time.” He said with a curious if hard to place tone in his voice. “Tell me everything, does it sound like they are planning to survive a long attack? What kind of supplies do you know?” He pressed, his eyes bright with interest. Any information gained could be of value to them in the coming days. Anything they had that might help them find some weakness or vulnerable spot.

"Unless a senshi can survive having a major artery cut, being stabbed in the heart and knocked in a fountain to drown, she's dead." The last word made her voice weaver, as if the reality of the situation had finally came crashing down on her.

One hand was placed on her shoulder, and Alunite continued where his sister had left off. "From the look I've gotten... Grocery bags. Things like clothing, medical supplies, blankets..." He'd thought he'd seen some damn beer, but that was probably his want for a cold one talking. Alunite could pretend, Alunite could do many things, but seeing someone as broken and mangled as they had left Aster meant he probably wasn't sleeping until he could chase down the memory.

"For the look of it I am guessing they might have some senshi stationed there in permanence that requires supplies from here. I didn't see any weapons or anything of the sort."

“You should have taken her star seed.” He said, it was a gentle admonishment but it was far –cleaner- than what she had just described. What she said though made him frown. “Fluorite, with…fifty something civilians missing, you don’t think…”
He stopped himself, the scowl deepening. What if the fifty missing were all…senshi. What if they were using that many senshi to rebuild the wall, maybe it took that much magic. He had no way to know for sure, there were hardly textbooks on the issue.

Yes they might just be to slow down anyone who fought them but they should know by now that would hardly distract members of the Negaverse, they could recruit or kill as needed, thereby bolstering their own ranks, so the likelihood was senshi.

“…This could be very important, thank you.” He sounded preoccupied. “…Both of you, I think we may need to step up our energy collection rather than maintaining it, unless you plan to help search for the parts of the great youma, would you please devote as much time as you can to collecting energy?”

"We were trying to get her to talk more... But somehow she seemed to find her backbone." It had been careless, a mistake, done in the heat of her anger. A mistake that she would come to regret, even if she didn't know of it yet.

But then the idea he brought forward was downright chilling. He hadn't spoken those words, but the allegations were there, and the captain seemed to pick up on them. "...The perfect alibi..." Gods... Gods, she hoped not.

Going to space scared her shitless as it was, through she would never admit it. She didn't need to start thinking of the welcome comitee that might be waiting up there.

"I will." She'd skip some classes if she had to, if it was what it took to make headway.

Alunite was also quick on the uptake - quicker than his sister, if the hand tightening on her shoulder was of any indication.

He hadn't thought about that. This had never been remotely in his thought process. "...Would explain the sharp decreasing of senshi in the streets..." Many had noticed it.

"Gathering energy isn't my forte, but I will do my best." Really, senshi lacked the sheer ease of energy gathering that the higher ranked agents had. Even now as eternal he still needed direct contact, much to his dismay. "Also, if you need me to go to the surrounding... I will go. Just tell me when." He was a senshi, after all. He was pretty certain he could do well in space.

And well, a part of him still longed, as much as he tried to repress it.

“There are other tasks you can assist with as well, if they make another team to send to search for parts of that Youma, you might do well with that, if nothing else keep with your sister and make sure that neither of you are injured without reason. I think we’ll need every strong hand we can find.”

He drummed his fingers against his leg thoughtful. “You might speak to Osumilite.” He added suddenly looking dangerously interested in that idea. “I believe this may work to our advantage as far as our work HERE is concerned as well, tell him I asked you to fill him in and let him know what you saw and did. He’s a Lieutenant but he has a rather useful lot in life.”

"Osumilite ?" From the sound of it, she knew who the general king was talking about. Not the worst lieutenant she'd had to deal with, but clearly there was something Zinkenite knew about the lieutenant that Fluorite didn't.

"Also, when we found the senshi she was waiting for someone at the fountain in Times Circle, through if they have half a brain they'll probably be changing meeting spots." It was certainly what she would do. "It might be a good idea to keep at eye on that area for the next few days, just in case."

"I can find him." Alunite said. Better for Fluorite to gather energy, since she was so much better at it. He'd heard of the lieutenant from his sister, and probably had a good idea where an older man would patrol at. He also still had some teleporting left in him, unlike Fluorite once she got out of here. "By your leave, General King."

He had nothing else to report, after all.

Zinkenite nodded, “Good” was all he replied. “Good” he repeated. They were ‘dismissed’. Baffling in a way to be filling these shoes, they still felt ‘new’ and strange. He felt…changed in a way he could not begin to put a finger on, passionate, clear, but strange. It was good to see them though, familiar faces even if the uniforms had changed. He watched Flourite as they departed and his eyes narrowed thoughtful.

Soon, she’d proved capable enough of handling the fundamental duties of Captain, he suspected she could handle those of General, she’d have growing to do, experience to gather once she filled those shoes before she was truly polished but that, only time could deliver.

There was a quick nod in answer to those words - Alunite perhaps more used to Zinkenite's 'quirks' than his sister, or perhaps the difference in power, but he was the first to gather and teleport out.

He had some tracking to do, but... a shower definitively came first.

Which left Fluorite, strangely small and raw compared to her usual. It could have been a great number of things - the kill she'd just done, or...

Well, it was hard to pin-point where this had even started. Those eyes closed, a split-second, making the shadows under them all the more visible, before she blinked out of existence as well, unaware of the thoughts dancing in Zinkenite's head.
