Sailor Aster sat on the edge of the concrete fountain in the middle of the square, several bags of supplies at her feet. The lost civilians up at the surrounding were running low on supplies, and the Senshi of Sunflowers volunteered to make the next run. In her bags she brought groceries, medical supplies, alcohol, blankets, toiletries, and discounted clothing items. It was a heavy few bags of groceries, but she was able to carry them all thanks to her increased strength in her Senshi form.

She was waiting for Soldier Virgo to arrive and pick her up to return to the Surrounding with the others. It was late at night - perhaps Virgo was running late, or perhaps Aster had arrived early - it was hard to tell without a watch in Senshi form, but either way it did not matter. What mattered was that the Senshi on Sunflowers was by herself, or so she had hoped.

Danger was near. She felt it. She bit her lip and tapped her foot, hoping for Virgo to arrive sooner than later before whatever Negaverse agent whose signal she felt was able to track her down.

The world was a beautiful and fun place when you were on top of the food chain, so to speak.

Alunite didn't need to fear being cornered by an eternal - he was an eternal. He was about to dish it pretty well at this point. He was also the source of the downright chaotic aura Aster was feeling - about a subtle as a 10-wheeler truck.

Which wasn't to say that she was wrong - there was indeed a negaverse agent around. Fluorite, on the other hand, looked rather ragged, expression set into a line, the start of darker circles forming below her eyes. She turned in a shitload of energy, but little information. That, along with everything else, didn't make her an happy camper.

The fact that her brother was stronger than she was also happened to be high on the scale of irritants - through it also provided some respise - she could patrol with him under the pretense of learning his new powers inside out and get a respite from everyone's else questions.

This was how they'd stumbled upon this senshi, and the fact that she seemed to be waiting for someone had made the pair pause. Who was she waiting for ? And why ?

Unfortunately, Captain Fluorite didn't have the best grasp on patience and waiting, not even on a good ******** this." She hissed. "Go."

His sister's lack of patience was something astounding - Alunite would have happily waited a few minutes more in hope to lure in a bigger fish, but he wasn't the one calling the shots. The second the last syllable had been uttered, Alunite had been gone, only to take form once more right behind Aster, reaching out to catch her arms and restrain her before she could try to flee.

Fluorite, for her part, didn't bother to teleport. Instead she jumped off the building they'd been perched on, landing neatly and making her way toward the fountain. "Waiting for someone, arn't we ? I wonder why..."

Aster didn't even have a moment to react before the corrupted Senshi of the Eclipse appeared behind her and restrained her tightly. With no use of her arms, she tried to kick out from behind her, but at best was only able to brush and scratch against his ankles with her feet. She looked behind her - it was unlike any Negaverse agent she had ever seen. It must be one of the corrupt Senshi she had heard about.

"Let me go, please," she pleaded in whisper to the corrupt Senshi as the purple-haired Negaverse captain made her way over to them. "You're supposed to be on our side."

She then looked at the purple-haired captain, brows furrowed.

"What makes you think I'm waiting for anyone?" she lied. She knew that she was in danger and every instinct in her body was telling her to run. "Please, just let me go. I need to get these supplies to...to someone. Please."

"Now that's a funny thought..." He whispered in her ear, not even bothering to hide the amusement in his voice. "I happen to perfectly like the side im on, thank you."

He didn't lighten his hold on her any.

"Oh, really ?" Fluorite stopped in front of her, through hopefully far away enough so that she wouldn't end up getting kicked. They were extremely similar, Aster might notice - same hair, same skin, similar features changed only by sex and age, beside the different colors of their eyes.

"I wonder what kind of someone... Or what it might have to do with. Outer space, perhaps ?" She feigned pondering. "Perhaps we should just wait until that someone comes about..."

"What makes you think that I'm going to outer space?" Aster asked flatly. Her tone clearly conveyed her nervousness and it was more than obvious she was lying in her suggestion that she wasn't headed to space. She looked at the two opponents, her eyes pleading for mercy. "Look, Wonder Twins of Doom, I just want to be let go. You're not going to get me to tell you anything - I have done more silent protests than you'll ever know - so there is no point in you guys holding on to me."

She then looked at the boy behind her as she continued to resist.

"You're hurting my arms," she whined. Her weakness was obvious as she prayed for someone to arrive soon and save her.

"Oh so sorry~" Was the answer Aster's comment got her, sing-song like. And probably extremely annoying, which was the point of the exercise, really.

"Ah, oh well." The look of confusion on Fluorite's face was about as believeable as Aster's lies.

"Well, you heard the woman, wonder twin." Yes, that had amused her, and she felt no need to correct Aster's outlook on her and Alunite's relationship. "Let her go."

"But I haven't gotten to play today." He pouted, clearly over-exaggerated, and did let go - through not perhaps in the way Aster had been expecting, or at the very least hoping. She was all but flung toward the smaller captain, who seemed to be expecting her - with a solid punch in the abdomen.

"And who's to say we can't do that yet ?" Fluorite grinned. "If she won't talk, well... Perhaps we can make her wish she would. We certainly could find uses for her, don't we ?"

This didn't sound like happy fun times for the senshi of sunflowers, not in the least.

"Please just ---oof!" she was interrupted by a punch to the abdomen as she was tossed into the Negaverse captain. She tried to recover the best she could and as quickly as possible, but she clearly struggled. Nonetheless, she muttered out with as great force as she could. "In the name of Aster of Sunflowers, I don't want to fight you. I just need to return to the Zodiac Surrounding so I can---" she stopped ********. So much for not giving up any information. She blinked tightly and swallowed hard. "Please, I don't even know who you people are. Can't you just spare me?"

There had been a point where Aster might have been able to go after the two had gotten bored of beating her around and moved on to more important endeavors.

But then she'd said the two words that doomed her.

Zodiac surrounding.

One kick to the side of her head send the senshi back down, then that same foot crashed on her chest, knocking the air right out of her lungs. Two knives took form in Fluorite's hands, and one was pointed right at Aster's throat.

s**t just got real.

"So the white moon senshi are helping the zodiacs." She said, darkly. "What about the missing civilians ? What did you guys do to them ?"

The pressed down on Aster further, the blade getting dangerously close. "SPEAK."

She made no promise to spare her. "Speak and I'll make your death a quick one, not the weeks long agony the maniacs on your side cooked out for my people."

Hooooooly crap. Aster had just learned a lesson that Alunite had known for 15 years now.

Do not ******** with Fluorite when she was in a bad mood.

But for now he was silent, though his expression turned predatory. He kind of hoped the little senshi wouldn't crack too quickly so he would get a go at her, too.

Tears mixed with blood on the Senshi of Sunflower's face as a knife was held up against her throat under demand to speak. She had said that she would remain silent and give up no information - and while she had already failed at that once that evening, she was not eager for it to happen again. In defiance, and still unwavering in her refusal to fight back, she kept her lips tightly sealed.

Blood dripped down her sealed lips from one cheek as tears dripped down the other. Her lips were pressed tight to an exaggerated extent as she shook her head no, her meaning clear: they were going to have to do more than that to get her to talk.

Alunite's wish seemed to be about to become reality - a brush of the blade left a cut, shallow but painful on Aster's neck, and then she was kicked again, sent rolling toward the taller of the pair.

They were just getting started, and unless whoever she'd been waited for showed up, they had all night, as long as Fluorite was concerned. "Why don't you show her how deadly a senshi can be when trained properly, Alunite ?"

Jealousy aside, all of the last month aside... There was pride in her voice. Alunite was both her brother and her greatest achievement, her sword and her shield. Plucked from the senshi's grasp before they'd ever known or cared of his existence, put in the right hands that nurtured him into power.

"Oh, gladly." Alunite gave his sister a mock-bow, then settled into a more battle-ready stance.

"TOTAL ECLIPSE !" A beam of dark energy shot out toward her, and she wasn't much in the state to dodge it.

Aster's sealed lips let out a high-pitched muffled whimper as her neck was cut and she was kicked to the ground. She tried to pick herself up, but the beam of dark energy from Alunite's forehead slammed into her, embracing her into the darkness. It took less than a blink for her to be completely blinded. There was no light anywhere, more darkness than she could have ever imagined experiencing. It wasn't just the sensation of shutting her eyes, it was a frightening, hollowing sensation of the quiet stillness of nothingness surrounding her.

"Wha-where--?" her lips broke the seal as her hands felt around the area. Where was she? Was she still by the fountain?

Her voice was soft, weak and sad.

"Help."

As first it didn't seem like much had even happened. This served as much as torture than as a display of his power for Fluorite's benefit, and it was only when Aster's spoke, soft and frightened, that Fluorite's expression changed, and left her wondering just really was going on in tghe girl's head.

"I should have known you were a ********." She said. "All the annoying senshi are ******** style="color: mediumvioletred">"I'll take that as a compliment from you." He said, amused, as he walked toward Aster without a care in the world. She couldn't see them - might not even be hearing them talk, as far as he knew. Or perhaps she was hearing something completely different.

He caught her by the collar, and lifted her back on her feet. "Showtime." He whispered to her.

Then the pain began. Due to the nature of his magic, Alunite had learned how to be a danger hand to hand. Her arm was bended as far back as it could go, then further with a sickening snap. Her opposite leg was next, a strong, precise kick shattering her knee. Then she was backhanded right back where she'd came from.

"Tag." He said, simply, as if this was only a game.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

The cry screeched as her bones shattered, her body falling limp the floor. She had no will to fight, she had no strength fight, she was in no shape to fight. All she wanted was to return home.

"Please," she whimpered, crawling on her hands and knees. She paused and vomited up a small puddle of blood. She bleeding throat stung, and as she tried to grasp it and protect it with one hand, her body fell over completely - unable to support itself with her limp broken arm and legs.

Perhaps it was bravery, perhaps it was stupidity, but Sailor Aster stuck to her ideals.

"If you're going to get rid of me, get rid of me. But I'm not going to say anything," she gargled as blood continued to drip from her swollen mouth. "Let me go."

This one was weak, Fluorite decided. Weak and soft. She hadn't given much, to her annoyance, but she'd given something, and was even now begging for her life.

She'd never once tried to fend them off.

She wasn't even worth calling a general queen over to corrupt. There wasn't even a good base grounded inside the brown-haired girl to start to build a warrior out of her.

Or so Fluorite thought.

"Foolish bravery." She caught the girl in a similar way her brother her, through could not manage to rise her as high, her height being an hindrance.

That scream had been delicious, and Alunite savored it. His handiwork, right there. "What's next ?" He asked, simply. While the strongest one in between them, Fluorite was very clearly calling the shots.

"I don't happen to enjoy torture, unlike some of them." She squeezed Aster's neck tighter, forcing even more blood out of the wound on her neck. "I don't feel like taking all night on... this." She spat. "We leave her body for her little zodiac friend to find. Show them the cost of getting the others involved in their businesses." In spite of her words, she drew more blood than needed - cuts on her arms, cuts on her face, on every spot she could get as she lashed out with her free hand, the one holding the girl's neck shaking with rage.

At least now, she had at least one answer, but so many questions remained unanswered. So many things remained unclair, muddled, including answers Aster could not even have dreamed to hold within her mind.

Not even the last blow was merciful - did the senshi even deserve mercy at this point ? - the main artery in her neck was breached, then the knife planted itself in her heart, before the girl was tossed into the fountain.

"Let her paint the water red." She said, wiping the blood off her one used blade with the side of her uniform. Alunite didn't look much better than her at this point, but there was no time to waste.

"We report."

And so the two chaotic auras teleported, vanished out, just seconds before a powerful order-aligned senshi could register on the two's radars...

SPLASH.

The cool water of the fountain could have felt nice on her wounds, but the wounds were far too severe. A broken arm, a broken leg, cuts and bruises all over, a slit across the neck with an artery burst, and a stab wound in the heart. It was too much pain for any human to bear. There was too much blood lost for any human to survive.

Aster sunk to the bottom of the shallow fountain, her blood mixing with the reddened waters as she choked on the blood and water, unable to breathe. She was going to die.

Sailor Aster was going to drown, hacked and beaten for her values in spite of all the danger.
