Sunlight broke through blue-gray skies shinning down on the freshly dampened Cyrus City. A swift rain storm had made its way through in the early afternoon and had not let up until several hours later. To Ment, it was the sign of the impending fall season. It always rained in the beginning of the fall season.
Ment had been waiting on Arius to arrive for quite some time now. He had braved the rain to meet him at a local coffee shop, but after his third coffee he felt he had waited long enough. He couldn't deny he was a little pissy with Arius having invited him and not shown, but he didn't fault him for it. He probably worked last night and was tired. He figured, with that kind of a job, you were much more active than one thought.
"This is a bit of a wasted day," Ment sighed heavily, grabbing his umbrella and shaking off the remaining rain droplets from it with tired and sad eyes.

Ailin had gone for a long walk before the rain storm hit and had not been near enough to home to just turn around. Instead, the youth decided to be stubborn and tough it out. He stuck his arms into his coat pockets and aimed for all the puddles as he stomped through the fast growing wet ground. By the time the rain had begun to let up, Ailin had concluded that perhaps a walk in the storm was such a bright idea. He could feel the water seeping through his jacket and knew that soon it would seep through his jacket and that if that happened before he found a warm place to drive off, then he would be liable to catch a nasty cold.
Already able to hear his 'mother' nagging at him if he were to return home and get sick, he began to look around for somewhere he could warm up. Eremon had given him some money and the youth's eyes lit up when he caught sight of a coffee shop. Something warm to heat up his insides sounded perfect and he trotted over to the shop, happy that for once Eremon had come in handy for more than just annoying him.
On his way in, he noticed someone looking sad and tired and his curiosity got the best of him before he made the counter for it was rare the young boy saw someone look that unhappy. With an upward quirk of his eyebrow, he took a couple steps in the other person's direction, "I hate to interrupt, but...are you all right?"
As his clothes dripped his eyes flickered over to the counter and he shifted his weight from hoof to hoof as he waited, but he did not move - he was curious and wanted an answer before he moved on. Niamh would be upset if he did anything less, anyway.
