Personal Information
Name: Mieu Lenomeshi Age: 350 Gender: Male Sexuality: Heterosexual Species: Shinigami Ethnicity: Japanese Division: 11 Seat: Lieutenant Zanpakuto: Konpaku Reiatsu Color: Magenta Reiatsu Appearance: Slushy and thick Personality: Mieu's personality is colored by his illness in almost every way. The constant pain of his lungs deteriorating has made him very reluctant to talk; an act that causes him severe distress. Any and all words that come from his mouth should be taken as meaningful, else he wouldn't have said them. Mieu's short lifespan and rapidly approaching death have only proved to increase his drive to become stronger. Unlike many other shinigami who only fight when it's required, Mieu is willing to put any enemy to the sword. To him, it's less about fighting, or even the communication of warriors, and more about finding someone who can finally kill him and save him from the horrible death he might otherwise suffer through. Because of his life of pain, Mieu has developed an incredible immunity to physical damage. No matter how hurt he is, the shinigami never seems to realize the extent of his injuries, and if he does, he just doesn't care.
~Background~
Height: 6'1 Weight: 137lbs Hair: Black Eyes: Purple Clothing: (It's obvious) Physical Appearance: Slim Past Divisions: none History: Mieu suffers from an inborn, progressive disease called "Charon's Breath" that eats away at the spiritual particles in his lungs and threatens his well-being on a daily basis. To keep himself from dying due to suffocation and internal bleeding, Mieu wears a black and purple ventilator that covers his mouth and nose. This device allows him to breathe through a series of spirit particle converters, air purifiers, and tubes that trail through his trachea and into his main stem bronchi, where they regenerate the tissue as quickly as it deteriorates. The ventilator is only ever removed so that Mieu can eat, drink, or apply medicinal packets - acts he only does in private due to the gruesome processes they entail. The pain of breathing causes him to wheeze and choke at random intervals, despite the dutiful help of the 4th and 12th Squads. Aside from his ventilator, Mieu appears to be a very conscious dresser. His skin is as pale as snow and thick eyeliner surrounds what little of his purple eyes can be seen from under his matted, black hair. His hair lies just long enough to obscure his ears, each of which is pierced with numerous silver rings. Despite the fact that his face is never seen in public, the few rumors that make their way around the Gotei 13 state that his face is ghostly and breathtaking. Unfortunately, these rumors remain unexplored.
Mieu Lenomeshi is a shinigami that hasn't bothered to actively alter his uniform in any way. His haori and black undergarments look decently average from far away. Once one gets closer, however, they can see that Mieu's clothing is ripped along the arms, legs, and torso. These tears and cuts are from the numerous battles the shinigami enters on a daily basis, whether for training or in defense of Soul Society. Mieu's pale skin has many of these cuts as well. Because of Mieu's unique Reiatsu, the entire area around him is chilled and cold in a way that suggests that death is near. This temperature drop causes the breath of his ventilator to stream out like a white trail; a leaking soul. Mieu carries his Zanpakuto, Konpaku, in a sheathe that's strapped diagonally across his back. This blade takes the form of an unusually long katana with a purple and black hilt. The blade has no tsuba, which makes it extremely difficult to block with. This doesn't bother Mieu at all. The shinigami always claims that blocking isn't conducive to his fighting style.

~Zanpakuto Information ~
Zanpakuto Name: Konpaku Zanpakuto Type: Katana Zanpakuto Sealed Appearance:
Spirit Appearance: Konpaku, Mieu's Zanpakuto spirit, takes the form of a Will o' the Wisp; a ghostly ball of light that seems to flicker in and out of reality. During its free time, the ghostly spirit can be found tending the rotting organ-plants that populate the inner world. This duty seems to be the number one focus of the spirit. It appears to ignore anyone and anything else so long as there is work to be done on it's macabre garden. Should Mieu seek to converse with the spirit, he must do so while helping the spirit with its eternal task. Spirit Personality: Konpaku is a very odd spirit, and it's rarely much use to converse with it. Every time the spirit talks, it does so by asking a rhetorical question and quickly answering it. What's worse, Konpaku cannot form words with its organ-less body. To speak, see, and hear, the spirit controls the organ-plants that grow around it as catalysts for its senses. This means that an eye will follow either Mieu or a guest while a twisted pair of lips, possibly attached to a skin-colored vine, speak to them. During Shikai, Konpaku seems to buzz around frantically, attempting to use spurts of Reiatsu to quickly heal the degenerating organ-plants. Once Bankai is released, the spirit splits into dozens of different Will o' the Wisps. Each one of these copies inhabits an organ-plant and animates it. Spirit Relationship: Spirit Inner World: Mieu's inner world appears as an endless, infinite bog filled with swamp trees and gas wells. The dimly lit plane of existence is inhabited by strange flora that make a mockery of nature. These plants share distinct similarities with organs. There are flowers with bloodshot eyes in the center of their buds, bushes that grow livers coated in cirrhosis, and hands with ghastly, broken fingers that grab at nothing from within the swamp-water. This unsettling, downright nightmarish world represents the ever decaying state of Mieu's insides due to his disease. The most common organ-plant is a pair of lungs that literally breathes out swamp gas, filling the surrounding areas with the unpleasant aroma of rotting flesh and organic decay. Guests to the inner world are usually warned by Mieu, despite the fact that the shinigami says very little of the actual nature of these disturbing images. Meanwhile, Mieu seems to be completely uncaring about the symbolism of his inner world. While he doesn't overtly step on the organ-plants around him, he doesn't avidly avoid them either, and his path often brushes his haori against the slimy outsides of the disturbing growths.
Shikai Appearance: Shikai Appearance Shikai Release Command: "Breathe. Konpaku." Shikai Release Appearance: To unleash the Shikai form of his Zanpakuto, which is only done if an enemy proves challenging enough that it warrants such extremes, Mieu generally clears the area with a series of powerful, shock-wave creating slices. He then puts away his sword - if it was already out - and wheezes through his mask, saying, "Breathe. Konpaku." With an oppressive, chilling burst of purple/black Reiatsu, Mieu draws his sword from the black scabbard. A white light seems to glow as the sword is drawn, changing it from a long katana into a thick, extended machete-like blade. This blade has no cross-guard, much like Mieu's unreleased Zanpakuto. The grip and pommel of the sword are completely unchanged by the Shikai release. One can immediately feel the unnerving power of the released weapon, which is classified as a physical/utility-type Zanpakuto. The machete blade of the weapon seems to fade in and out of the corporeal world, making it look as if the weapon doesn't belong in the same plane as Mieu, let alone that of his opponent. Shikai Ability: Shikai Attacks:
1. Inbijiburu Kannan (Incorporeal Affliction): Mieu's Shikai form is technically classified as a utility Zanpakuto, although many scholars consider it a physical-type as well. The primary purpose of Konpaku's Shikai form is the Inbijiburu Kannan, a technique that allows the sword, Mieu, or any combination of the two to become incorporeal at will. When in this state the incorporeal subject, whether it be the Zanpakuto or Mieu himself, can glide through physical material as if it weren't there. The incorporeal subject is not granted any form of invisibility, and it can still be seen by the naked eye unless obstructed. This ability is often used in conjunction with Mieu's incredibly forward, aggressive fighting style in order bypass a parry and then cut the person behind it. This particular movement oftentimes causes Mieu to be wide open to a free attack - a prospect which doesn't seem to bother the shinigami in the slightest. Mieu also uses this ability to slip into the ground or phase out momentarily to dodge ranged attacks. Unfortunately, only physical objects and assaults can be avoided/bypassed by this ability. Attacks that disturb heat, energy, mental acuity, or any of the five senses are completely unaffected. Particularly skilled opponents may also notice a very short - less than a tenth of a second - lag between the transformations. These lag-periods are the ideal time to deal damage to the shinigami, but his skills are often enough to deter such ideas.
2. Mittomonai Chishio (Ectoplasmic Blood): The secondary ability of Konpaku Shikai form is a byproduct of the Inbijiburu Kannan, and as such it is rarely called upon directly by name. Once the first technique is activated, Mieu's blood becomes a raw, thin form of ectoplasm. Any sanguine material that escapes his body, whether through his mask or a wound, is a crystal white and cold to the touch. This blood has no offensive properties whatsoever - anyone can come into contact with the blood and feel only a disturbing chill. The positive effects of this Reiryoku-tainted blood are the enhanced healing properties it contains. Mieu's wounds cauterize immediately, preventing infection. Non-fatal gashes and cuts are closed and contained within a few dozen seconds, allowing Mieu to continue fighting through otherwise debilitating but non-life-threatening wounds. While Shinigami are often capable of surviving grave-looking wounds - ones mortals could never hope to survive - this technique is capable of healing only wounds that can be filled by blood. Missing limbs or organs are completely inconsolable by this technique. While Mieu never utilizes his blood in order to heal others, it is capable of it. Direct contact with Mieu's white blood can heal wounds as if they were his own.
3.Kokyuu-Ware (Myself, Breathe for the Angels): This is a very specific ability that Mieu rarely uses, if only because he considers it hurtful to his goals of dying against a powerful foe. In his words, it stacks the odds in his favor against an otherwise worthy opponent. Should an enemy use a concentrated attack of pure Reiatsu, namely, a Cero, Mieu can absorb the energy through his mouth and use it to temporarily heal a significant portion of the damage to his lungs, increasing his power by an enormous factor for a little over a minute. His ventilator has been specially designed to allow for this ability. However, it cannot handle an attack as powerful as a Gran Rey Cero. Such an influx of energy would short the electronics in the ventilator and cause it to shut down or explode, possibly leaving Mieu in a very fragile state. Should Mieu suspect an enemy of using such a powerful Cero, there is a small chance that he will remove his ventilator in order to absorb the attack. Should this be the case, Mieu will immediately try to kill his enemy in the most brutally efficient way possible. Anyone who sees his face without his trust is no longer allowed to live. Once the time span of increased strength is done, Mieu's lungs degenerate at a rapid pace, leaving them in the same condition they were before.
Bankai Appearance: Bankai Appearance Bankai Release Appearance: Konpaku, Soukutsu-Yowai (Ghost, the Haunted Tender of Souls). To activate his Bankai shnigami Mieu slips his blade into an incorporeal state using the Inbijiburu Kannan. He then clears the area using whatever Reaitsu he has to before lifting the sword towards his face. Mieu's head looks up as he stabs the incorporeal blade down his mask and into his throat, where a white light appears just under his pale skin. When the Zanpakuto is pulled out, nothing seems to have changed. Then, a few moments later, a terrifying spike of Reiatsu spreads outwards from the shnigami, blowing anyone but enemies on his level into dust. Then, as if on queue, the white light within Mieu's chest and neck increases in intensity. A dozen white orbs, each of which looks like a Will o' the Wisp, burst forth from his chest and burn away the front of his uniform. These white entities begin floating around the shinigami, releasing a humming sound as they zip from place to place, ignoring any material in between them and their goal. Once the transformation is complete, Mieu wheezes once more, saying, "Bankai. Konpaku, Soukutsu-Yowai." In Bankai, Mieu's strength, speed, and other abilities are obviously increased by a significant amount. He retains the abilities of his Shikai and gains two more. Because of the Kido-like nature of this release, Mieu rarely uses it unless he happens upon a truly spectacular enemy. This is also the release that allowed him to kill his former Captain, making it one of the more controversial and avoided releases, as well. Bankai Ability: Bankai Attacks:
1. Shoutaku (Will o' the Wisp): Mieu's Zanpakuto is centered around the Will o' the Wisps. The hovering orbs that appear upon the Bankai's release are all incorporeal. They cannot become substantial or interact with any physical matter that isn't Reiatsu-based. This makes them completely useless as a defensive technique, as they cannot protect Mieu from any incoming attacks. However, when they glide through any material, living or not, they leave a path of withered, cold desiccation in their wake. These routes are drained of their structural integrity through rapid decay. In living creatures it seems as though the flesh has been wracked by a degenerative disease, although it doesn't spread. These attacks can slaughter lesser enemies with one glide through a major organ - the heart, brain, spine, kidneys, and stomach are all common targets. Powerful enemies, such as Captains, Arrancar, or particularly skilled Lieutenants have stronger, more resilient organs, and might require more than one intersecting pass before total decay occurs. The orbs are controlled by Mieu's mental will. They are in no way self-sufficient. Should Mieu be knocked unconscious or rendered unable to see, the orbs are affected, as well.
2. Katana no Makeinu (Blades of the Fallen): When his injuries have mounted to a near-fatal level, and Mieu actually suspects his defeat, he can will any amount of his Will o' the Wisps to mimic the shape of his sword. These spirit blades can turn corporeal, unlike their previous forms, and can interact directly with the world around them. They can block attacks like a normal Zanpakuto and make powerful strikes of their own, causing opponents great distress as they find themselves fighting a battle on all sides against powerful melee weapons. These blades hold the same incorporeal, degenerative ability that their previous forms do, and can effect much larger areas thanks to their enhanced size. Despite this change, the main blade, which is in Mieu's hand, is incapable of dealing any sort of damage while it's incorporeal. In a final attempt to bring his opponent down, Mieu will often phase all of the blades in and out randomly in order to take an opponent by complete surprise. No opponent as of yet has survived this method of attack, and is has been nicknamed the "Dance of Death" by those who have seen it during Mieu's training sessions.
