With the New Comics launching this week.

What do you all think?

___

I've read, Superboy, Supergirl, Catwoman and Justice League. I TIRED to read JL: International... It didn't draw me in like the others so i'm holding off on that. I haven't sat down to really read it. But from what I've seen the art is fantastic.

Catwoman
Loved Catwoamn! She's back to her devil-may-care bad-girl roots, and recently I've really missed that about her. Not to mention that damn good ending scene. The Cat's got her claws in me, I'm hooked.

Superboy was VERY intriguing, he's changed the most from what I've read. There are two female leads in this book that are interesting: Rose Wilson and another woman by the name of Red. Some are guessing she is Caitlin Fairchild form Wildstorm. Ending, Tie in the Teen Titans. Brilliant.

Justice League: Looks like they are starting form scratch again! The superheroes in this 'verse are 'new' and are generally not trusted among the public as they once were in the previous 'verse. Another twist... they don't like each other very much. If they play this right, this very well could be their best seller.

Supergirl. ... oh Supergirl... I own every issue of Supergirl since her previous reboot with the late Micheal Turner so it is with a heavy heart that I say I'm slightly disappointed with what they've done to her. She'd grown so much these last few years, I feel like she's regressed greatly in the new relaunch. And the costume. I bloody HATE it! The story was just another fall to earth, boring tid-bit, It really doesn't have me hooked like it once did. It just didn't have the same impact like the others did for me.

Needless to say I'll keep reading these stories and see If I can keep reading them. Yes. Even supergirl.

I somehow managed to totally forget about this.

Catwoman: That was repulsive. I read it and it made me feel gross. They quite literally reduced Selina to a pair of tits for two pages. I started my long affair with Catwoman back in the Jim Balent days, and those comics were sexy, adventurous and surprisingly addictive. This felt creepy, fanfictiony and objectified. I will not be continuing to read this, and if I ever see the members of creative involved in this project, I will kick them in the shins.

Animal Man: Surprisingly interesting, I like the artwork even if the backgrounds are spare in some places. I put more of the fault at the colorist's feet. I am interested in what happens to this family, which is great considering I'd never read any AM before.

Batgirl: Exceptionally poor dialogue, bizarre plotting, inconsistent artwork and poor storytelling. I think Ms. Simone might have been drunk when she wrote this. I will probably pick up a second issue to see if it's just a bad start.

Batgirl. I kinda forgot I even read her book. That's kinda sad. It didn't do anything for me.

I read the Catwoman. I actually think I liked it. I didn't think the boobage was too big of an issue (and compared to the Balent run, definitely not as BIG of an issue rofl ) except maybe on the first page when she's putting on her costume, but that's been done before. I can live with it. If they'd started leaving her costume unzipped to show cleavage the whole time, then I would've had a problem with it, but they didn't. And she still kicked a**, which was great.

Also, the makeout/sex scene with Batman at the end was SO HOT. I blushed like a naughty little boy. DAMN, DOSE ABS. xp burning_eyes

I'm waiting for the Azarello Wonder Woman though. I've heard it's supposed to be really good. I hope they keep the pants costume. 3nodding

It's not the size of the tits, it's how you treat them. Balent's Catwoman, for all that she's a joke in fandom, rarely felt like an object. This new Catwoman does.

What about Batgirl!!

She went from cyber hacker and informant hero to spazzy teenager who somewhat failed her job!

More curiously: if Batgirl "got better," then who/what was Oracle? And who/what are the Birds of Prey? They have their own title, they clearly still exist, but did they exist without Oracle? Or did Babs abandon them once she got her cape back?

I've heard the new Batman is worth reading, and I like Scott Snyder. Has anyone read it?

oh yes. it is very good!!

One really gets a feel for both Bruce and Batman. and you see him using his alter ego a little more.

I think there are three titles with him.

Well, I saw this on facebook. From all I've seen, DC has sort of bungled things. I haven't really read a single semi-current issue since the relaunch began because they seem to have fundamentally screwed with the characters. I've seen scans of pages here and there and they aren't impressing me a bit. Hello? Gritty, a*****e superman? Not interested. Mega gritty Bruce wayne? Nope. Not interested in that either.

Haven't read any of it. DC doesn't want my money, I'm not going to force it on them.

All-Star Western was gooooood....

I was expecting it to stop at a certain page, but being a $4, it just kept going, and I am glad it did. Arkham's constant psychoanalyzation of Hex is quite amusing. It had plenty of beat 'em up violence, being a Hex book, but they found a way to make it make sense. Though it does seem like half the panels in the book are Hex punching someone and Arkham looking surprised. I'm definitely backing this horse.
