Kainda hadn't seen Tide in a while. Though the whirlwind romance was fresh in her mind, she was beginning to wonder if his beliefs got the best of him. Her own were starting to nag on her conscious. In doing so, her fits of rage were becoming worse which intensified her training courses. Anger burned within her mind at not only Tide but herself.
So there she was again, in the woods bashing her horn and hooves and body against trees. The vegetation showed signs of violence as the mare bounded from one side to the other with quick precision, sweat beating off her body, fire in her red eyes. She refused to let herself go like she did. How did she let herself go? It wasn't fair. Not at all. Her breathing was hard and enough though her body wanted to collapse on her, she refused to stop. She refused to let up, not until she was sure that her skills her were back up to where they needed to be.

Tide stormed down the hill and to the copse of trees. Opal was being unreasonably cruel and Ion was letting her. Hellfyre just pissed the mare off more by bringing that t**t Prism into the mix. Tide growled low in his throat. Honestly, how could a sweet mare get that edgy. The power must be getting to her head. Tide kicked a bush with his front hoof. At least Hell was getting most of the raz. Ugh why him? Why now? Why DID HE DESERVE THIS!
Tide's ears perked up, in his rage he hadn't heard the logging sounds up ahead. It sounded like his Kainda wasn't impressed today either. His steps grew lighter and he moved faster. Sneaking through the trees like a ghost he sidled up as close as he could so that she wouldn't see him. He watched as sweat beaded on the orange striped body. The blue mane flowed after her like a halo and her eyes seemed to burn. This was exactly what he needed. A duplicate rage.

The mare breathed heavily, her nostrils flaring and ejecting sweat against the ground. She was exhausted, but her mind was telling her to go for more. Her hooves pounded against the ground digging up the grass and earth. She stamped each time with her hoof going harder and harder each time. She timed her horn strikes timing with the hoof blows. Her chest was heaving harshly, ears flattened back against her skull.
The mare danced about the clearing where she always trained and where she first met Dark Tide. Her memories were floating a little among her training mind, his green eyes, strong body, playful mind, warm kisses...She was faltering in her training and it was making her angry. She brayed angrily drawing in the forces of darkness within her being and commencing another full front attack on the trees. A renewed energy sparked her body, muscles burning with not pain, but with adrenaline. An angry adrenaline. The trees were slowly becoming a blur - and worthless opponents. She needed something more. Something worth fighting. If only he would show himself...

Tide took his opportunity and appeared in front of Kainda, he struck at her slowly so she would realize who it was. He reared and showed her his markings. Pawing the air he snarled loudly. His hooves slammed into the ground and he kicked out at the tree behind him lining it with abrasions and grooves in the bark, over top of Kainda's many strike marks. He brayed back at her in challenge, in no mood for talk at the moment.

There was movement and then a strike. She managed to slip out of the way, her hair flowing behind her like a banner. Her eyes widened as she realized who it was. And he was willing to spar. Something deep within her darkness swirled, and slowly she began to feel another feeling. Something that fueled her with other rages, but not as violent. Something more...purposeful perhaps?
Wasting no more time, she assumed her fighting stance and began to go at him with everything she had. The mare attempted slamming into his body, her hooves kicking up toward him, even her horn going for his body in attempt to hit non-lethal points. Her mouth opened even using her teeth to n** and bite hard on either air or him. It seemed like a carnal dance the two were in, one that she had no plans of losing either. But then she realized...they were fighting to win or lose. They were fighting to blow off steam. Some much needed steam. It wasn't like they were angry with each other either. This was a mutual fight - one that she was willing to still give her all like she did with him.

Tide snarled as Kainda's horn managed to pierce his skin, it hit the muscle part of his neck and so wasn't altogether too damaging but it still hurt, he swung around after getting bit a few times and nipped at the back of Kainda'd hind legs. His neck curled proudly in the fighting posture he danced back and nipped at her back as well. There was much squealing and panting from him and he wondered if they would get an audience after all the noise. He shoved into the mare and prepared for the enraged counter attack he new would come. He would rather be here fighting with Kainda than be around Opal even when Opal was in a good mood. And Hellfyre was a punk.

Kainda was too enraged and in a fighting spirit to pay much attention to anything. He was getting a few chance hits on her which would probably sting and hurt later. She pawed her hooves at him and bucked in the air whenever he came too close to her rump. It was only when her nostrils took in the scent of his blood that she faltered. The larger stallion managed to drive home against her body pushing her against a tree. She snorted at her weakness and pushed back but with less vigor. She was growing tired from her previous sparring session and the fatigue was taking its toll.
A few more well placed parries and blows from Tide, and she stumbled on her back legs falling hard on her side. Her nostrils flared getting the hair from her face and eyes as she looked up at him. Her eyes shut quickly noticing that his hooves were dangerously close to her face and neck. If he was still in his frenzy, he probably wouldn't notice right away. She called to him to relax and that he had won, her sides heaving massively, tail flicking behind her as if also trying to get his attention. Kainda was tired and on the verge of passing out. But Tide gave her a good fight. She was proud of him.
And she realized that she loved him even more for it.

Tide watched as Kainda faltered slowly, her energy decreasing and her effort weakening. He knew when she was about to stop and he decreased his fighting so that it only looked as though he was still striking. As she finally collapsed at his feet, he immediately stopped. He had her her calls but he had known she was tired. One did not take on an entire forest and not become slightly weakened. It was now that Tide could feel the sweat runneling off his neck and into the wound on his neck. He hoped it would scar as that would mean that she had marked him. He kinda liked that idea. His sides heaved, he hadn't had a workout like that since the last time they had sparred together. It felt good, well besides the stinging. He bent his neck and nuzzled the striped mare at his feet.
Tide then knelt beside her and supported her neck off the ground so she could breath better. "You know woman, besides the tree sparring you had done earlier, you nearly finished me today, I think next time you will kick my butt, no questions asked, I needed that, thank you." Oh how he had missed his Kainda

Kainda took in a breath looking up at him. The sun that peered through the trees illuminated his frame making him look like some sort of divine being. The mare gave a gentle snort looking into his eyes with a sense of pride. She nudged her snout against his cheek and neck nibbling gently against his skin. She stretched her neck a little to help with her breathing, her sides starting to heave at a gentler rate. Slowly, she stretched her legs rolling over to slowly stand on her hooves. Kainda kept close to him resting her head against his giving a gentle whicker.
Kainda snorted a little taking a breath of his scent. "Well...I am getting a little better I think." The mare cuddled up to him with a bit of a grin. "Just a little." Kainda began to think a little about their future. She had been taking this thought to heart for a while now, and she slowly began to realize that she doubted she'd be able to move on without him. "So, tell me why you needed this. Is something going on?" The mare asked the question more for a distraction in her thoughts, but there were times were she was genuinely concerned about this male she considered her mate. Wait, what? Mate? Did she seriously just think about it for forever and already had her answer in a few seconds? Strange... Her eyes were lost in a bit of thought as she continued to stare into his.

"Tough times in the herd, my brother's mate is being a t**t and Ion is letting her. Hellfyre brought another stallion home to piss off Opal, I think they did the dirty, don't ask me how that works, I don't know. Enthallion brought a girl home and Opal kicked her out before she was in and now Thali and her have adopted a foal. Opal hasn't figured out that Thali has a daughter before her so that is gonna probably blow up soon. And I get picked on unmercifully for DOING NOTHING WRONG. I'm there and so am convinient," he puffed out a gust of air. "And I missed you so bad my teeth were aching."
He shivered as she nibbled on his neck, his hair stood on end.

The mare pawed at the ground listening to his voice. He was stressed, upset, and obviously in an unsure mood. She gave a gentle nicker nudging his cheek with her nose gently standing beside him. She flicked her tail letting it brush against his rump and tail. Kainda leaned against him nipping his ear and neck gently. "I'm sorry you've had a time, my love. It sounds like your happy little herd is becoming a little too crowded. Opal needs to get what's coming to her..." Kainda was angered by how her mate was being treated in his herd. Her rages were wanting to be put to good use on Opal and Hellfyre. "Opal shouldn't be able to rule everyone's life. And Ion shouldn't let her. I'm intent on giving her a piece of my mind."
Her nostrils flared a moment before she tried to relax leaning heavily against Dark Tide, her eyes closing as she tried not to think about it anymore. "I'm still annoyed." She said more to herself than Dark Tide, but it was the truth.

Tide was deeply soothed by Kainda's presence beside him. Finally someone who understood him on a deeper level. He dipped his head a little when she bit his ear. "I'm happy that you agree with me Kainda. I have never done anything to Opal that I recall. She is in such a rotten mood all the time. I think now that she is spending some time away from the herd and perhaps that is best." He flicked his tail back at her and let the strands slowly slide off her body. "I would pay to see you give Opal a piece of your mind he grinned and imagined his warrior princess screaming at Opal about how she had wronged him. It was a warm and welcoming thought and after she was done with Opal she could give Hellfyre a run for his money. One thing about mares was that id they got really angry no stallion on the face of the Floating Isle could stop them.
Tide's eyes drooped a little as she leaned against him. It was so nice to be with her again. He really didn't want to leave. Hellfyre was on double patrol anyway and Tide needed a break from the endless drama.

The mare looked toward her mate quizzically. She was half expected to be yelled at for her foul attitude toward his brother's mate. His surprised support, however, made it seem all the more easier to speak her mind. "I wonder if she's just jealous of you. I know she hasn't met me yet, but the way you talk of me - and I know you do - I wonder if she grows jealous that her own mate doesn't speak of her in such soft, fond tones." Kainda was simply poking at his graces now. She nibbled his neck again with a sweet caress. "Maybe she's just a trophy mate. Can't really do much right in the herd except use her mouth. I'm sure she's just going through a phase of 'woe is me, I can do nothing right'."
Kainda gave a gentle chuckle as if to make herself feel better. She nudged her cheek against his with a soft sigh. "We'd make a beautiful pair of minds, you and I. And I'm sure the offspring wouldn't be bad to look at either." Her heart raced as she spoke, though her demeanor was calm and cool. She was propositioning him now at this point. Wondering at whether he would take the idea, the bait. Dark Tide was simply gorgeous in every aspect of him. Why couldn't he see that his brother's herd was holding him back from his full potential? A potential with her.

"I don't know what has gotten into Opal but she doesn't usually act like this, Ion must know what is wrong or he would be freaking out too. Perhaps they are going to have babies.. Oh my god mini Ions," he scrunched his face up. "Ugh mini Opals, hopefully they dont have her hormonal temper when they are born. I bet you that is it. Usually Opal is just mischievious. Unlike you my love, you are direct and smart and don't take no crap from nobody and that my dear is why I love you so much."
"You, want, children?... Kainda that is wonderful! Your, our children would be so wonderful, with your strength, beauty and intellect they would grow into powerful, and successful adults." He liked children, well when they were not torturing him that is. And his and Kainda's children wouldn't. His children, mini Kainda's. He immediately fell in love with the idea. "I hope we have girls so I can have mini yous."
