Okay, her best friend was in some kind of space coma. Apparently that was pretty common. But in a way, Destiny City was pretty coma prone. Figured space would be too. Didn't make it any easier to deal with, much less face the thought that you might be responsible for some kind of space sickness.
Just why Hawke was avoiding the infirmary, and kind of slinking about the outside of the outpost doors. She didn't really want to go too far for fear Anders would wake and she'd not be around. So she was brooding like Fenris at the entrance. Self conflicted, and full of self doubt. Hawke was turning into Fenris. All she needed was a bottle of wine and a crazy magister hunting her. Maybe some magic ore burned into her skin. Didn't they make glowing tattoos? She'd get one when she got back home. If she got back home.
Until then she was broody. And swinging her semi-broken boffer sword around like some nutter saying she was 'practicing'.

Fritz had spent the better part of his morning sleeping.
It had been unintentional, of course; most of the time he much preferred to occupy himself by exploring every nook and cranny of each outpost, forcing his brain to think of something other than the desperate desire to return home. But he had not taken into account just how tiring constantly moving around was, and had fallen asleep for several hours while leaning against a pillar on the second floor of the Virgo outpost.
Now, climbing down the enormous, wide stairs, Fritz had a crick in his neck and his limbs felt abnormally stiff. With a mildly exasperated sigh, he made his way across the expansive entrance hall, rubbing the back of his neck. He was not looking where he was going.
Which, it turned out, was not the best idea, since he walked right into someone - and something.
"Oof -- !"
The "thing" caught him round the stomach, and Fritz spluttered, staggering backwards, losing his footing and crashing to the white marble floor just inside the Virgo outpost.
He looked up, slightly bemused.
"Er," said Fritz. "What exactly are you doing, if I may ask?"

Hawke was going to do it, it being become the most reliable fighter in all of space. The terrorists would have nothing on her. She's defend everybody from the space whales and weird a** monsters. Her practicing would keep her top shape, hardcore, and ready.
Or make her look like an idiot as she swung out hitting another civilian. Hawke, saving civilians, by hitting them; She was off to a great heroic start wasn't she? Dropping the false sword to the ground, Hawke went to the fallen boy and without warning, grabbed his arm and pulled him up. "Oh god I'm sorry I was just practicing and s**t I didn't hurt you did I? ******** that is what I get, trying to train so close to the entrance. Augh I'm sorry dude, I was a stupid s**t." Running her mouth she almost missed his question. Of course when she had it filter into her brain she stood ready, hands on her hips.
It was time to lay her cards down. "I'm training, er practicing, to fight those monsters. One got my friend already," her voice became slightly softer as she admitted that, "But I wont let it happen again."
Cards on the table; she was going to become a monster hunter. With a boffer sword.
So badass.

It took Fritz a few moments to realize just what exactly had hit him.
An umbrella.
Or not. Taking a closer look at it, he realized that it was, in fact, one of those toy swords made from some sort of hard packed foam that people could use to practice with.
"Er," said Fritz, squinting at the item in question. "Oh, er - ah, getting up now, are we?"
He let the girl pull him to his feet, brushing off his worn jeans once he was upright once more. She was babbling on about something, her apologies tripping over one another as they spilled out, and Fritz suppressed the smile of amusement that kept threatening to appear.
"It's quite all right," he said. "I'm not hurt." Except for my pride, maybe; falling on my arse in front of a young lady...
Fritz ignored his inner ramblings, instead flashing a bright, but curious smile at the girl in question, though it faded rather quickly when he realized what she had just said.
"I'm sorry," he murmured quietly, shifting awkwardly. "I didn't mean to sound, er...insensitive. They'll be okay, I'm sure," he added bracingly, with a firm nod.
After a moment's pause, Fritz said "So who are you? You seem rather...familiar, somehow."

If Hawke could read minds she might have laughed at the idea of being called a young lady. She considered herself more of wandering nerd, and probably never going to be any sort of lady, (mostly due to her clumsiness and lack of manners). Being told the accidental victim of her sword swinging wasn't hurt was a huge relief to her as the sword was retrieved with a small smile.
The life in Virgo's outpost seemed ethereal to Hawke as she looked towards where the Infirmary was. Part of her wondered if these senshi did have true magic, and if so, why wasn't it helping her friend? It was a slightly bitter thought. She'd failed to protect him, and if she'd been better he'd not need to be laying in a bed, waiting to wake up. If he ever did. The comas of Destiny City were just over a year ago, yet the memories of people falling asleep with the chance of never waking up..."It's okay." She muttered, ignoring the shame in her gut. "They healed broken arms and stuff so...he'll be fine." It was said more to convince herself then the boy.
Shaking her head of the dark thoughts, she awkwardly shuffled from foot to foot, trying to remember. "Um, you don't do LARPing do you? Or go to Meadowview? That's...kind of how most people know me, school or LARP." A hand was held out. "I'm Hak-" A pause, if he knew her, he might not know her actual name. "Hakwe is my nickname, but the real one is Angelica, Angelica Jones." Her voice dropped at the end; she clearly didn't prefer her real name.

Fritz, to his credit, did not exactly understood the way the magic worked except for one thing:
It was nothing like Harry Potter.
This rather disappointed him in away, but he got over it rather quickly. For the most part, he had not seen enough magic in action to fully comprehend just what exactly it did. The Surrounding, the outposts, the fact that they were all in outer space and not gasping for breath with their insides rapidly becoming their outsides was definitely magical, but that was not something that could really be seen or experienced.
"He'll be fine," Fritz said again firmly, in a bracing tone to the young woman. She introduced herself as Hawke.
His eyebrows rose in slight bemusement. "No, I'm afraid I don't know what LARPing is," he answered her apologetically. "Nor do I go to Meadowview. I'm a sophomore at DCU, actually."
There was a slight pause. Then Fritz asked curiously "What...what is, er...'LARPing?'

Ooops. Talk about a brain break. "Sorry, I just assumed- Er. My bad." Not that uncommon for Hawke to mistake one thing for another. Or person. Or whatever. She just didn't give a ********. ******** could be given later. the ******** she had now were for this guy. And the revalation he didn't know what LARPing was.
"You- You don't know LARPing? Daaaaamn." Hawke's social group all knew about LARping, so being told someone didn't was always shocking to her. "It stands for Live Action Role Playing. You go out to the woods, a park, backyard, and act out epic quests, battles, and kind of just have an excuse to beat the s**t out of another person for a half hour or so." She held up her blade of righteousness boffer sword."We usually fight with s**t like this. PVC pipe, foam, ducttape. If made well enough it can last a while but every so often you need to break out a new roll." Shrugging she smiled.
"And thank you by the way. It's nice to hear that." She paused. "About Anders that is. He's kind of a goof but, this place-" Sighing she looked back at the outpost. "The ******** I know whats up with this. It's not earth, I don't think I'm dead. And frankly the idea of being stuck here. Nope, not looking forward too it."

Fritz waved his hand. "It's no matter; I find no misfortune in being mistaken for someone younger than I am, regardless of how most people think."
There was a mischievous glint in his eyes as he said this, Fritz eying Hawke with a rather curious glance. She was not the typical young woman out here - rather, she was perhaps a little odd and slightly confusing, but at the same time she seemed rather interesting.
Especially with the whole "LARP" thing, whatever that was.
"Live action...role playing?" Fritz repeated, tilting his head and tapping a finger against his chin. "I recognize the term, I think, but I'm not sure I've ever actually seen someone participate in it...or even mention it, for that matter."
There was a part of him that couldn't deny he was somewhat curious about the idea; Fritz, after all, was always up for something fun, so perhaps this could be something to look into when he got home.
...if he got home, that was. Except he didn't really want to consider the possibility that he wouldn't be going back to his flat.
"Can anyone join this, er...LARPing thing?" Fritz asked Hawke, shoving aside the negativity in favor of the more interesting things. "Or is it...y'know, selective?"
He shuffled his feet a bit, giving a small sigh. "I don't think anyone knows what the bloody hell is going here, but I, for one, would like to go home - wouldn't you agree?"

Sweet sauce, he wasn't going to hold her ignorance against her. Better then some people, aka bitches who would player hate on her LARP sessions. Fritz's curiosity was matched with Hawke's own. People who were interested in the awesome that was LARPing could always be brought into the fold. Always, no exceptions, (unless you were a parent then get the ******** out, that s**t just got creepy).
"Its sort of like a videogames, just you know. Real. Some groups do hit points, some do more lifelike and say if hit on arm, arm is off, et cetra, et cetra. And yeah! Anyone can join! That's my take on it, after all everyone was new to it once." Hawke might have started bouncing a just a bit. A possible LARP partner for space? HELLZ TO THE YEAH. And when Anders woke up, they could go to kickass city and- Oh hey.
"Haha! I kind of gave up trying to make sense of s**t ages ago. After the whole rainbow road and space whales. s**t is ******** nuts. As for home..." Shrugging, the parts of her armor she had left echoed as they bangs against each other. "I try not to think about being stuck here. I mean, it sucks, but I'd rather be stuck then eaten by a space whale."

"I find the world to be much more interesting when it doesn't make sense," Fritz said airily, waving a noncommittal hand. "Though admittedly I wasn't really thinking that life would take this much of an unexpected turn. It's not really something my mind can actually accept, at least not yet. I have a feeling that i - when we get back, I'm still going to think this was just all one, big, dream."
Fritz was starting to like Hawke. She was unusual, certainly, and her interests were...well, not quite like his own, but that did not mean he could not be thoroughly entertained by her, especially when she seemed just as wary of being out here was e was.
"Ohhhhh," he said, as her explanation dawned in his head. "That's...wow, okay, not quite what I was expecting, but it's not bad, either."
In fact, he rather seemed to like the idea, strangely enough. Real video games, acted out? Anyone could join?
"Sounds fantastic," said Fritz brightly. "Could you teach me?"
