The Leo Outpost had been entertaining for a while; Jett had his fun with Raven and Darwin and filled himself up on whatever he could eat. The artifacts at Leo had caught his eye for a bit, but ultimately he lasted only a few hours before he started to feel a bit sick.

It could have been from the food, or the fact that his stomach was constantly twisting in knots, or that he was always looking over his shoulder. He wasn’t able to focus in conversation, and he ended up feeling a bit dizzy. It might not have been the smartest thing for him to draw away from the group and decide to head back to Virgo alone, but he’d made it through the surrounding with Eric in good time and hadn’t seen any sort of abnormal creature, so he decided—what the hell—he’d go for it.

Passing the Mirror Pools again left him feeling groggy and sore—and curious. He still didn’t have any answers about his strange dreams, but then again, it wasn’t like he’d been advertising that he was interested in them.

The trip was quicker without company, perhaps because Jett wasn’t hiding the fact that he wanted to be back inside and wasn’t trying to walk at a calm pace. He hadn’t been running, but he was certainly walking briskly. By the time he reached Virgo, he wasn’t feeling much better and thought perhaps he’d overexerted himself—or eaten too much, too fast. A headache was debilitating him just slightly, so he paced until he found a chair--and pulled it more towards the middle of the room with the logic that the further away from the wall he was, the less chance he had of something reaching through the wall to grab him. Satisfied, Jett collapsed into the chair and leaned back.

His muscles were stiff; he’d definitely pushed himself too hard after lying in bed for so long and his body hadn’t been ready for such a long journey. Closing his eyes, he rested his head over the back of the chair and laced his fingers together over his stomach. He wasn’t tired—he’d slept far too much already—but this was just comfortable. Feet a little sore, he propped them up on the nearest table and crossed his legs, snuggling into the chair. The position wasn’t awkward in the slightest, and he almost felt like he was back home—until he opened his eyes and was staring up at a ceiling that looked nothing like the white popcorn ceiling back home.

Reflecting on the fact that he had made camp at Aquarius, Jett was only half considering going back; after the space monsters had broken in and attacked so easily, he had told himself that he wouldn’t be heading back there again. Virgo was nice and calming—and maybe it was just being off his feet, or maybe this place really did have magical qualities, but his headache was rapidly ebbing away.

You would think being here in the infirmary would be great for her, she would be useful... be able to HELP people.

She was steadily learning through the past few days, that she was dead wrong. It seemed like this place had its worn form of... dare she say it, 'magic.' A term she was raised to being nothing but superstitious mumbo jumbo. Something that was only uttered by those whom believed in things such as ghosts or spirits, and little monsters that crawl out of bed and eat your toes at night. She had finally come to a conclusion the other day that this was a real world... and she was stuck here wanting to go home. Because not ONLY were their giant whales out there wanting to devour them like pocky sticks, apparently there were mini versions scurring the halls in this apparently 'safehouse'.

Was enough to cause someone to go nuts, right? Well... hey if she was going to end up being a statistic, then hell why not go out with a bang?

Not that she was going to THINK that deeply into this twilight zone like mind set. She was actually on her way to get some food, when out of the corner of her eye... something like a ghost was sticking out of a chair, looking almost asleep. He was one of the ones in the Coma... Lynn looked down at her open hand, and opened and closed it a few times. She had grasped that mans wrist for a moment back when he was on the cot, a 'get well' geasture... but she was 100% sure he would not remember her.

Wait... did comatose people sleepwalk here too? Was he still in his coma? She would NOT be surprised, given the crazy magical events of this house of healing, if his body moved by itself while no one was home. Was there some sort of doorbell they could ring? Anyone home?

Curioisty was a damning thing, and so it found her approaching and reaching out a hand... to poke at the younger boys shoulder.

Jett had intended to sit in this chair, propped up like he owned the place, and maybe, should the situation arise, fall asleep and take a nap. He hadn’t been intending to make conversation or socialize—but if he’d been intelligent and truly wanted to avoid people, he’d have gone and hidden in a bedroom or a closet or something for his nap.

Slightly agitated at being poked, he expected it to be one of his friends—if he could bear the thought of calling them that—coming back from Leo. He lazily cracked open his eyes and tilted his head to look up at the perpetrator of this oh so heinous crime and paused when he locked eyes with a stranger.

She was older than most of the people he’d socialized with since he’d gotten here, but that certainly wasn’t a bad thing; he wasn’t sure he could handle listening to people whine or gripe about wanting to go home. He worried—for a fraction of a second—that he was going to be told he had to move or that they wanted him to help clean up or something.

He realized he’d been staring at her blankly for a bit too long and cleared his throat expectantly. “…Can I help you with something or do you just like poking people?”

-

Apparently she just liked poking people.
