Ever notice how alot of confesion come out in Joe's bar. Also, moments that are turning points. EXAMPLES:
Cristina's confession of being pregnant
Derek's not showing to choose Meridith. Joe's bar.... is love

Joe's bar is a lot of things.
People go to bars to unwind, to meet, to drink their sorrows away. Joe knows everything that is happening basically. If I rewatch all the episodes, I'd definitly be able to prove how symbolic it is... but I missed the entire of season two (grrr).

Joe's is a very important place in the show, I believe. It's where Meredith met Derek before epeisode 1. They both said they were drunk and at one point Meredith mentions she met him at Joe's...I think.

I love how Joe's Bar seems to have a magnetic force to everyone's issues. Mark hasn't even been here a whole day and he's already going over there to brood over his dirrty mistrisshood.
There's kind of an interesting parallel though with Mark asking Addison to meet him over there and her not showing up and Meredith asking Derek to meet her over there and her not showing up.

Actually, it was Mere who asked Derek to show, but Derek didn't come, not vice versa. It was also where news came about the train wreck(Derek shows when Mere's long gone...), Izzy and Alexs' first kiss, and where we found out Christina was preggy. 3nodding

If anyone has the DVDS, there's a tour of the set, and the actor for the Cheif (forgot both names. sad ) was giving it. He was all like. "And this is Joe's Bar.... I don't get to go in here... sad My character's a recovering alcoholic.".
But actually I think Addison took him to Joe's Bar once, after he'd dyed his hair for the ladies. xd
