This is a private roleplay between Jianyu [kuromeez] and Sakngea [audio fiend].
Setting: A fine day, with the clouds speckled across the sky. Our bumbling redhead finds himself in front of the Qian homestead. The birds sing in the sun, the bugs hum in the grass, and something unfolds between the two men?

The building before him was both deeply familiar; stained with a plethora of memories and emotions, but also completely unknown because of his unstable relationship with one of the occupants. But yet here he was, a find young man; a fighter for the Nobles, standing before the great wooden doors of Qian Jianyu's family home.
He had been standing there for several minutes.
It was a hard decision, honestly! He had not, for the most part, left on good terns with Jianyu, and he wouldn't be lying if he said he would have let it end that way. And not because Jianyu was unfair or had done anything wrong, but because Sakn figured he had no chances left with the Captain. But when Yue had surprised him with the wedding, Sakngea had had to come face to face with the Legionnaire. He had expected to be looked at with-at best- subtle contempt, but Jianyu's face had been vaguely confused but generally friendly.
That look had been driving the redhead mad for nearly two weeks now, and he still couldn't swallow the nervousness in the pit of his belly. The redhead was certain he had stared a hole right through Jianyu's door by now, but alas there was no hole; no spontaneous fire to alarm the Captain of his presence. Just a door, which begged to be knocked on.
The sound was like a death knell when his knuckles made contact. What if Jianyu had only been polite because of the wedding? Because he knew yue and Sakn were related. Sakn's face soured ever so slightly, and he chewed a fingernail; waiting for someone to answer the door.
Of course, he still had no clue what he really wanted to say to Jianyu when he saw him.
This...this would be interesting.

Qian Jianyu was not actually at the home of his mother and father when Sakngea arrived. In fact, Jianyu himself no longer resided at the expansive Qian home that he had grown up in. After his wedding, he and Yue had instead chosen to live at a small house to the side of the docks, a small building set just far enough from the ocean to be safe, but close enough to still see the beautiful blue waters. At this new home, there was the constant scent of salt in the air, the smell of the sea drifting lazily through the windows, but it was a refreshing change of pace from his rather enclosed family home. Though he still visited quite often and remained partial to the Qian House, Jianyu so far had been much happier away from it than he had thought possible.
The morning that a certain redhead had come to visit, however, Jianyu was not inside the Qian House, but outside of it, walking up the long, winding pathway to visit his family. Yue had gone to her training, but it was his day off, and he had thought to go pay his respects to his mother and father.
He did not expect to see, of all people, Sakngea standing outside of his old front door, one fist raised as if he had just knocked on the door.
He did not know what he was supposed to feel concerning the redhead. Their last encounter had been...well, not entirely pleasant, and Jianyu's constant up and down relationship with Sakngea had always been one of great concern to both himself and Yue, since neither could seem to stabilize their feelings towards one another. At his wedding, however, Jianyu had seen Sakngea for the first time in months - and had smiled at him, not shown any sense of negative feelings towards the redhead kneeling on the floor of the temple. That, and the fact that Yue had told him of her relation to Sakngea, made the entire situation just a touch more difficult to disentangle.
Jianyu sighed, reaching up to rub his temple briefly. Finally, after a moment's hesitation, he stepped towards the young man standing a few feet away.
"Sakngea?"

A chill ran up Sakn's spine as he stood at the door, and at first he had brushed it off as nothing. but the feeling was persistent, a tingling in his skin. The redhead was momentarily confused, but after a moment he realized the presence he was feeling was none other then Jianyu. When the other man said his name, Sakngea spun on one foot to face him. But as soon as their eyes made contact, he found himself at a loss for words.
What was he supposed to say? He hadn't even decided.
So, instead he gave the man before him a look over. There were, like with everyone else he had come to see lately, many similarities and a variety of differences in Jianyu that the redhead could see clearly. And perhaps there were more changes beneath the surface as well. The fighter traced the Captains face, the lines around his eyes the expressed late nights and long days, but also laughter and life. The crease in his brow as he waited for Sakn to say something, the twist of his lips; slightly confused and trying to understand the situation. Yet, even though he could see all these things, Sakn couldn't find a glimpse of anger in Jianyu's face.
A heavy weight fell from the redhead's back then, and he let out a sigh of relief and brought his eyes back to Jianyu's good one, and opened his mouth to apologize.
Then realized that apologizing was probably the one thing he never did. How did one go about apologizing with out looking like a girl. The redhead's lips curled into a frustrated frown as he mulled the question over. His face lightened as he came up with an idea.
"I wan'ed ta c'ngratulate ya," he started, but feeling that this wasn't really what he wanted to say, he stopped and started again with, "I mean, I wan'ed t'see ya, or err. I owe y'something....I mean..y'know," he was getting stressed now, looking like a fool in front of the Captain. Sakn's cheeks puffed out for a moment in irritation. Jianyu always did make him flustered. And he really was having a hard time saying the 's' word. It was just not natural. "Y'get what I'm tryin' ta say?" hopefully Jianyu would understand and not pick on him about it.
This was way too awkward.

For a few moments, Jianyu just looked at Sakngea without saying a single word. The redhead had grown since he'd last saw him, angry and desolate, driven by madness and a hatred so deep it had nearly cost him everything. Back then, Sakngea had been desperate for revenge of the person who had murdered his mentor, craving for some sort of closure, for something, anything to take away his pain. He had begged Jianyu to watch over Xiu while he was gone, and though Jianyu had been hesitant at first, angry at Sakngea's decision to leave in the first place, he had finally promised.
And he had kept that promise, though from a distance. Jianyu had watched from a distance, checking up on the young man for whom Sakngea cared so deeply. He had not spoken to Xiu; it was not his place, but he had done what was asked of him all the same.
That had been months ago. Just how long had it been since he had seen Sakngea? The redhead was taller - already taller than Jianyu before, now he seemed to tower - and more muscular, the hard lines of his body more prominent. His face had lengthened, any trace of the leftover baby fat completely gone to be replaced by high cheekbones and a strong jaw, his hair in one singular braid now instead of two. And his eyes...they held not the childish stubbornness of before, the haughty pride, but a weariness that betrayed his journey, an almost tired maturity.
It was strange, their relationship. They had gotten into many fights before, but, then again, so had Jianyu and Bataar, and they were the closest of friends. However, his relationship with Sakngea was...different. For reasons unbeknownst to him, Jianyu felt an odd sort of...connection towards the redhead; one that bordered on protectiveness, a sense of brotherhood.
He did not know what to make of that.
One dark eyebrow raised, Jianyu's fingers absently twisting the gold ring on his left hand, inlaid with the delicate tracing of a dragon. "Thank you," came the almost automatic reply, but Jianyu's eye was focused carefully on the redhead's face, watching the emotions flicker through that emerald gaze. His brows furrowed, slightly bemused by the uncertain redhead's floundering.
And suddenly he knew quite well what Sakngea was trying to say.
How very...unexpected, thought Jianyu, and he could feel his lips twitching, wanting to smile abruptly. He tamped down the desire, however, instead adopting a completely innocent facade, tucking his hands into his sleeves.
"I'm afraid I don't quite understand," he said, sounding convincingly confused. "What exactly is it that you owe me?"
