What to eat .. Vaith was as neglectful as he was in all of the other aspects of his life. In the end, he walked outside with a questionable juice box and a bag of cannon cat chips. A separate bag of chips was opened, partially on his shoulder but supported by a closely gripped tail. His familiar, a noise dragon, had it's head stuck inside the bag, eating, with minimal movements.
Vaith didn't see why his small familiar got an entire bag of chips when Vaith being twenty times larger, still got only one bag of chips. Ugh.
Hm. Where to sit? The reaper's eyes were drawn towards an empty spot, next to a female. Everyday was Halloween town was like a show-- today was no different. Exotic. How did she even see through that mask? He thought about it for a moment. Cautiously.
No, that seemed like a pretty good seat, regardless!

Lattice sat with her small basket at her feet and in her hands she held a small steaming cup of tea in her hands simply enjoying the warmth of it as it seeped into her palms. It wasn't too hot but it wasn't too cold just the way she liked it. For the moment she ignored the small snacks she had bought for her lunch - she wasn't feeling all too hungry at the moment.
She noted there was someone seating next to her which caused her to simply look over the new person that had pretty much invited himself to a seat there. He certainly had an odd shape to him from what she could see, did he have two heads? Oh well, she wouldn't judge.
Should she...Converse with him? Lattice soaked in the silence for a moment before she uttered a quiet, "Hello."

"Yo!" Vaith raised a cautious hand, crossing his legs as his dragon familiar eagerly crawled down from his shoulder to sit near the blindfolded female. It raised it's little claws with a curious shake of it's tail, the noise familiar's shape constantly moving as if the markings couldnt restrain themselves.
Vaith was a little nervous but he had pushed himself with the rare motto of "go forth and do something spontaneous and meet someone new!" That was basically Xiu's advice for him. He hadn't gotten so far with his normally distanced attitude .. so it was time for something else. Probably.
Vaith wasn't entirely comfortable with his new motto. Hm. Perhaps he should have started the conversation off in a standard manner. His tone was inquisitive, interrupted by the slight crackle of chips being chewed.
"What are you?"

Lattice noted that the other did not have two heads but rather it seemed a smaller companion that was now closer to her than it was prior. She tilted her head down toward it as she quietly offered it one of her hands palm up, "Hello there," her tone lacked emotion except for the faintest bit of inflection that showed her curiosity toward the smaller creature that was near her.
She was absorbed with getting to know the creature that his question almost seemed to surprise her as her head tilted toward the boil with an eyebrow raised as if trying to figure out what he meant.
There was an awkward silence before she responded, "I am an Engraver."
Hopefully that was the answer he wanted. "What are you?" Might as well ping the question back at him.

Palm up was good. Note thought it was good. The familiar tentatively placed a noise paw on the ghoul's hand .. and placed another. Then promptly jumped off. And placed back it's paw. It thought it was a delightful game!
"An engraver?" Vaith had never heard that. His blank look sufficed for his reaction, tugging on his familiar's tail slightly to stop the dragon from overdoing it with the ghoul's hand.
"I'm a reaper. A noise one.. this here's my familiar, Note." He gestured to the dragon that had calmed down somewhat and simply placed one claw in Lattice's hand. It stared at lattice, slender neck tipped upwards. Did it want to know her name?

Lattice was honestly amused with the familiar's behavior a small smile growing upon her lips as she let it do whatever it wished for the time being. The boils questioning tone caught her attention making her head tilt toward him before she seemed to ponder her response, "We are artists in a way. We mark the skin with ink. It is a very sacred thing for us."
That didn't mean she was going to pin anyone down and tattoo them though her Sister might one day but she'd leave that a surprise for someone else to discover.
"A Noise Reaper? I have not heard of that classification before," she admitted softly, "I guess that makes us even." She stared down at Familiar named note and tilted her head.
"My name is Lattice," she said after the moment seeming to feel the sudden urge to share her name.

"Oh. Wow, that sounds like it'd be really awesome. With ink, huh? You guys can draw anything?" Vaith asked, suddenly very keenly interested. Sort of like his noise markings .. Well, in the slimmest sliver of relation possible. But noise markings marked the body and adorned it .. It was like a permamnent commitment. They moved but they were alwyas there.
"It does make us even, huh." He tipped his head as well, glancing down towards his familiar with a cautious eye.
"I'm Vaith. Lattice, it's nice to meet you. " He held out his hand, in a sort of handshake .. or a horizontal highfive. The sort of informal brief-tapping of the palm kind of thing. "We'll be seeing each other around school a lot. So if you see me wandering the halls, I'm probably lost."
