Mys'ketay walked quietly through the rouge lands, searching for something to eat. She was steadily getting better at hunting, but she still wasn't up to par with most other lions in the lands. But she knew that someday she would be if she kept trying. At least that was her hope. She could easily just settle down with a male who could do all the hunting for her, but she didn't want to end up like her mother and end up in the same past she had escaped from. A small shiver ran down her spine at the thought of her father. He had been a terrible living creature, one that she hoped she would never have to see again.
Suddenly she came to a stop, hearing something off in the distance. Was that prey? Or was it another predator? Curious, she decided to head towards the sound. After several minutes of walking she stumbled upon a small herd of water buffalo grazing in the small amount of grass just a few feet from her. Quietly she crouched down and waited for her chance to catch one. Oh how she loved the taste of a water buffalo.
